I need your special GOCE wisdom

Article: 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam

I'm not sure how you copyedited that long (very long) article within two hours and not manage to get distracted. Please, share me your wisdom! How do you skim the text so quickly? How do you not get tired of this? Thanks, TarantulaTM (speak with me) (my legacy) 22:43, 10 September 2023 (UTC)

The prose was already pretty good. Also, it was a fairly repetitive article and I got into a groove. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:53, 10 September 2023 (UTC)

You might want to have a talk with 103.14.70.178. She's clearly not listening to me, she might listen to the GA nom. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 20:29, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for helping to deal with this, Tim. I left a message on the IP talk page. voorts (talk/contributions) 21:49, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks voorts. Pushing 3RR (may have already been broken if you count my first edit, which reversed a few edits in one go), so I'm not able to revert any more OR/COI edits. I hope 103 listens, as, if she goes through the correct channels (filing a COI request, giving a reliable source) then it'll end out well; if not, a block will probably be enforced, and nothing good comes out of it. Sorry about your talk page vandalism by the way, that was out of order. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 21:59, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
No need to apologize; in fact, thank you for reverting it. As for 3RR, I actually agree with her that calling it a construction company is probably incorrect, and the RSes support calling it an earthmoving and hauling company, so I changed that. I also changed the mention of the wife and daughter to "family" to keep it vague and avoid concerns that one of the daughter's names isn't included.
I tried to explain as plainly as possible Wikipedia policy to 103. I think people often don't really understand warning templates, which to me are written from the perspective of someone who is already aware Wikipedia has policies and guidelines. If she continues despite our explanations, I agree a block is probably inevitable. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:06, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

Request on 05:19:38, 8 September 2023 for assistance on AfC submission by Iarirda

Thank you for your feedbback Voorts. I've just edited the article to read less like an ad. Let me know if you see any text passage. Let me know if you notice any passage of text that needs improvement. Iarirda (talk) 05:19, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

It still reads a bit like ad copy, with wishy-washy statements about what the company does. I recommend reviewing MOS:WTW, especially MOS:PEACOCK. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:03, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

message from pegship

Hi Voorts - Back in June you proposed and created a couple of stub types related to African and African American religions. You cited a large number of articles that would qualify for use of this stub type, and accordingly here was no objection. Currently, Category:Traditional African religions stubs contains only 11 articles, and Category:Afro-American religion stubs contains only 20 articles. Since there seems to be a Traditional African religions portal, perhaps you could enlist some help tagging the hundreds of articles you mentioned in your proposal. Thanks for considering it. Her Pegship (?) 22:24, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

I had started to go through them, but then I got drawn to other things. I will ask at the portal. Thanks! voorts (talk/contributions) 22:28, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
