Commercial use of Image:SillyPutty.jpg
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:SillyPutty.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:SillyPutty.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:SillyPutty.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Rickrolled.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Rickrolled.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:17, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
P != NP
[edit]First, would you please leave the topics of discussion in chronological order on my talk page? Second, Wikipedia is not a place for original research. Third, what do you expect? You vandalize an article, link to your own page, and there state that it is "easy to verify that P != NP", give no proof for that claim, while below you state that an infinite number of problems must be checked (huh? easy?), and use the mere existence of an infinite number of problems as reason to conclude that P != NP... by that reasoning even problems in P are not easy to solve. It's all complete nonsense. Fourth, if you think you're so grand you should really go collect the Millenium prize. Finally, if you want to discuss your mathematical problems on Wikipedia please have a look at the maths help desk - last time we had someone solve the integer factorization problem. Good luck! Nageh (talk) 17:05, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, not trolling here, and apologies for messing up the chronology of this page. Since you seem to be more knowledgeable than me (and your Wikipedia contributions confirm your ability, would you be so kind as to tell me where I've messed up. I've added a Proof by Contradiction to clarify https://sites.google.com/site/pnproof/.
Regards and thanks for your time. Vivek (talk) 17:43, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Vivek. Please provide a source for the translation you added to this page. Thanks. Imc (talk) 17:27, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- I got it off of a website. Vedic shlokas and translations should not be copyrighted.
- Slokas (the original form) are not copyrighted, since they were usually composed long ago. Hence the original text can be included here, even if transliterated since these are done according to set rules. Translations however are not the original, they are always interpretations. One person's translation of a complex text would almost always be different from another. Hence they are subject to copyright like any other material composed by people today. Imc (talk)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, content you added to Quantum mysticism appears to be a minority or fringe viewpoint, and appears to have given undue weight to this minority viewpoint, and has been reverted. To maintain a neutral point of view, an idea that is not broadly supported by scholarship in its field must not be given undue weight in an article about a mainstream idea. Feel free to use the article's talk page to discuss this, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
