Temperature-controlled laser bonding
[edit]Hi there. With regard to your addition of a section about temperature-controlled laser bonding to Kerataconus, is this a general surgical technique, or is it specifically related to keratoconus? If the former, I don't think there is a place for it in this article. The section doesn't mention keratoconus in any way. —BillC talk 22:27, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Hi Virtualerian, thanks for your awesome page on HMDs. I work for a company in California developing augmented reality glasses. Care to get in touch? I am amazed with your grasp of the history of these devices! I hope you got to go to SIGGRAPH or AWE. Would love to chat about this sometime. You can contact me at my spam account at barwi [AT] aol [DOT] com. Hello Virtualerian. Thank you for your new article Silicon-air battery. I have just patrolled your new page and carried out a little copy-editing. When I checked the source you cited I noticed that much of your new article is almost an exact copy of some of the material in the cited source. Copying someone else's work is plagiarism and Wikipedia must be diligent about avoiding plagiarism. Please see WP:PLAGIARISM. It is acceptable to use the information from another source, but it must be presented in such a way that it does not look as though Wikipedia has simply copied that other source. Please re-visit Silicon-air battery and re-work your information so that it is not in breach of Wikipedia's policy on plagiarism. Thank you for your understanding. Historical vs modern
[edit]Regarding Template:Flying cars, I've created a few templates with similar historical/modern splits, e.g. Template:Forced induction motorcycles and Template:Long distance motorcycling. It might be a good idea to pick a year as the dividing line, rather than the subjective historical/modern. Otherwise you might find yourself down the road debating with another editor over "what is modern?" Just a thought. — Brianhe (talk) 00:12, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- I think it's pretty simple, "historical" consist of abandoned projects while "modern" are still being developed. Dividing by years would be inaccurate since many projects went for decades. But perhaps we can divide each one by the decade the developement started, or choose another way to split it. Virtualerian (talk) 00:59, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Virtualerian,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether AB Elise should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AB Elise .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Replaceable fair use File:Farah Mohamed Shirdon.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Farah Mohamed Shirdon.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 19:45, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

References
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
- If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".
We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia.
