AfC notification: Draft:Vijay Shankar Pandey has a new comment
[edit]Robert McClenon, Thanks for your comments. I feel the article was rejected because its type was charged from draft to article as per the rejection comments. There are enough references cited from leading newspaper publications on the subject. If you can suggest some improvements that can be made than it would be very helpful. For now I have resubmitted the draft. As advised by you, I have also posted in teahouse for feedback for improvement. Thanks again for your comment. Vinod2608 (talk) 15:36, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
Clarification
[edit]I have not reviewed the article in detail. The history of the article is that you first created it in article space, and it was then moved back to draft space, and you then moved it unilaterally to article space after adding references. It would have been better if you had waited for another reviewer to review it and see if it could be accepted and moved to article space. User:Bearcat then moved it back to draft space again. You should either discuss it with User:Bearcat or other neutral editors, or wait for a review, rather than moving it back to article space. I see that you say that you are asking at the Teahouse. That is a good idea.
Also, it is difficult to have a discussion with you on your talk page because you remove posts from your talk page. That is permitted but discouraged, and makes discussion difficult, so any further discussion can be at the Teahouse or somewhere else. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:36, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
Please note that even if you add references to the article, you still must resubmit the draft for assessment by an AFC reviewer, and are not entitled to just immediately move the page into mainspace yourself. Not all possible sources out there are necessarily always notability-building sources, and people often erroneously think that just adding one or two bad sources (like blogs, or the person's own social networking profiles) is all they have to do — so regardless of how well you think you've done at bolstering his notability with better sources, an AFC reviewer still has to assess whether you've really done as well as you think you have. So when you're improving a draft that's previously been rejected, your next step after that is not "move the page yourself", it is "resubmit to AFC for another kick at the review can". - Thanks a lot Robert McClenon and Bearcat. I'm new here and am learning. After I moved the draft to article, there was a message on top page about pending review so I thought it was fine. After it was moved back to draft state, I realised my previous account was not correct. Also I cleaned my talk page because other I feel something action pending with me. I'll not clean it going forward. Is there a way to archive them? Lastly thanks once again for your explanations and help. Much appreciated. Vinod2608 (talk) 20:36, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
