Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Victor Okpala, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  VVikingTalkEdits 13:56, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Toke Makinwa. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. shoy (reactions) 14:14, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was recently blocked due to vandalism on the page Toke Makinwa which i was naive about and regretted. I have learnt my lesson and went through all the policies as regard Wikipedia editing and fully understood that adding content without reference is prohibited. I promise to abide by all rules if unblocked and contribute meaningful well. Thanks Victor Okpala (talk) 14:02, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This does not convince me you understand why your edits were inappropriate. Please explain exactly why. Additionally, it is unlikely you'll be unblocked without a topic ban on Toke Makinwa. If you are okay with that, please indicate so in your next unblock request. Yamla (talk) 14:31, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Thank you Yamla, my edits were innapropiate because i contributed to the page Toke Makinwa using lot of WP:PEACOCK words and used WP:OR according to my own personal research which i realised now that they are wrong and i deeply regretted. I have read all the Wikipedia policies and fully understood and a better and experienced wikipedian now. I accept a ban on editing Toke Makinwa. Thanks Victor Okpala (talk) 14:41, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
