Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Victor Michelle. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Intangible asset finance, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

- Hello jlwoodwa,
- I'm the author & creator of the IP CDOs and it is disclosed & indicated here:
- https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Victor_Michelle
- IP CDOs are financial instruments like bonds, debts etc. and are not affilated with myself itself, family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors.
- WIPO's official website is not my organization, mentioned in links.
- I'll propose the following changes on the talk pages of affected articles and looking for the solution of publication.
- As I have no connections related to any form of paid contribution, Wikipedia's policy on Paid-contribution does not apply to me, nor do promotional activities.

- IP CDOs: An Encyclopedic Overview
- Intellectual Property Collateralized Debt Obligations (IP CDOs) are a type of structured finance product that securitizes intellectual property (IP) rights. Unlike traditional CDOs backed by mortgages or other assets, IP CDOs use a portfolio of IP rights, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets, as collateral. These rights are bundled together and then sold to investors as tranches with varying levels of risk and return.
- I focus on a neutral and factual presentation of IP CDOs, addressing concerns about promotion and ensuring compliance with Wikipedia's policies to provide a neutral and encyclopedic overview of IP CDOs, avoiding any promotional language or bias. The page has no unambiguous advertising which promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and is written fundamentally in order to be encyclopedic.
- Promotion/Advertising: The page has no contained promotional language or links that unduly favored specific companies or investment products.
- Original Research: The page has presented original information on IP CDOs which is relying on verifiable, published sources. Wikipedia article based on reliable sources of WIPO organization.
- Copyright Infringement: The content includes copyrighted material with a proper attribution. Wikipedia strictly adheres to copyright laws.
- To ensure compliance with Wikipedia's policies, any information about IP CDOs must be presented in a neutral, factual, and verifiable manner, citing reliable sources to support all claims. And the article on IP CDOs did it without promotional language, speculation, focusing instead on providing a comprehensive and objective overview of the subject matter. Duplicate request placed in a section header. All edits should be placed in the larger edit window, not the smaller section header/edit summary window. In this case it's easy to remove the author's and creator's name of IP CDOs and keep the text as is if it is the only remain reason for blocking on editing, because i believe Wikipedia can't ignore existing things or can?
- IP CDOs: Intellectual Property Collateralized Debt Obligations are financial instruments that allow the monetization (commercialization) of IP assets and acknowledge as IP debt receipts - constitute a form of Scrip (a form of credit or debt receipt), types of structured asset-backed IOU (informal documents acknowledging debt) as well as in the form of securities. These blockchain-based digital assets are designed to pool various types of IP rights, such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and subsequently transform them into tradable debt instruments. IP CDOs emerged from the broader category of collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), which are investment vehicles that pool various forms of debt, including loans, bonds and notes, and sell them as tranches to investors. IP CDOs were first introduced as a way to tokenize intellectual property, providing liquidity to IP owners and offering investors a new asset class with potential returns correlated to the underlying IP assets. This model was created and developed for involving IP assets in international economic turnover through IP CDOs.
Decline reason:
It's clear your only interest here is to promote this product. No thanks. Note that rules are enforced more strictly in certain contentious topic areas(see below). As crypto/blockchain has become a thing Wikipedia has been flooded with people doing what you're trying to do- promote their latest innovation. There are places to do that, this isn't one of them. Wikipedia isn't a place to promote innovations- it's a place to summarize independent reliable sources about a topic that has already arrived and is noticed. Put another way, Wikipedia is the last place to write about something, not the first. 331dot (talk) 09:57, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
