Great Wilderness
[edit]Okay!! I understand that Great Wilderness must be eliminated according to the Wikipedia rules and regulations which I honor.
I did not write this page about me. It was written by Arlo Hemphill and eliminated by Wikepdia. I sought to get it reinstated becuase it helps me to my conservation of Biodiversity work on behalf of Great Wilderness.
Thank you for your consideration.
Vicki Breazeale
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Vicki breazeale, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I am done with Wikipedia. Thanks for the oppotunity to edit pages of scientific interest. I did edit the page of Huston Smith who is a friend of mine. BUT, I understand the Wikipedia has no room for my edits.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}}
before the question. Again, welcome! --Orange Mike | Talk 19:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Great wilderness
[edit]A tag has been placed on Great wilderness requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Great Wilderness is a 501c3 CA nonprofit doing work in Ecuador to save rainforests. We also work in Venezuela on parrot communication in the wild.
National Geographic has mentioned the work of Great Wilderness in Venezuela. Please consider this and search the National Geographic web site for the parrotlet research by Dr. Karl Berg, one of the founders of Great Wilderness.

[edit]Your recent addition to Great wilderness has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. I have also removed the content from your user page.
Also, If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Fribbulus Xax (talk) 22:12, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello Vicki breazeale. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Great wilderness, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:08, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Please do not write an article about yourself, as you did at Vicki Breazeale. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:08, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm writing to let you know that you posted a message on a page called User talk:User A. However, there is no Wikipedia user who goes by the username "User A". So the person to whom your message was directed may not have seen it, and I don't know who that would have been. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:12, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Your message for Orange Mike
[edit]You just left a message for Orange Mike at WP:WER#Great Wilderness. It is highly unlikely that User:Orangemike will see it. The best way is to click on his talk page link above (in one of the threads where he contacts you) and leave him a message. A second way to let any editor know that you want him/her to see something is to place their name, User:Orangemike, in this case, between brackets--- [[]] ---. They will be then notified (by Visual Editor that they are being discussed. As is the case here. ```Buster Seven Talk 18:18, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- It takes a while to get the sense of how to do things around here. So the following advice is just to let you know one of the basic rules at WP. Here you left a message in the wrong place. You should always leave any messages or such on talk pages...at the bottom of the page...and sign them, of course, so the recipient knows who sent it. Most editors make a lot of mistakes before they get comfortable. As long as you learn from them, all isa good! ```Buster Seven Talk 18:36, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Great wilderness
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Great wilderness, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a test page. (See section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do, and take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
- It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Fiddle Faddle 21:29, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Your passion
[edit]You need to start to understand that your passion is not important to WIkipedia. Yes, the Great Wilderness may be notable, but, as a founder, it is not your place to wrote the article. By doing so you already prejudice people against it. Please leave it alone. In due course it will have an article if it has inherent notability that can be verified. or get someone you know to look at our standards and to write the article, but keep well away from it yourself, please. Okay, I get it!!!!!!!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicki breazeale (talk • contribs)
- All may not be lost. If you are 100% sure you can achieve a totally WP:NPOV article, and are content top submit your work to rigorous review, and GW passes WP:GNG you could consider using WP:AFC to create and submit the article. But do not even consider taking shortcuts. Take all the advice you are given in reviews there. It is far easier for someone else to write it, though. Fiddle Faddle 16:29, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- May I suggest writing the article in your sandbox? You can start the article in User:Vicki breazeale/Great Wilderness (or some other page) - just click on the link and start editing. Maybe put a link in User:Vicki breazeale so you can find it easily. Unless the article is outside of Wikipedia's policy, nobody should bother you or try to get it deleted. When ready, get other's opinions on how it looks. If you get good feedback from a reliable editor, you could move it to "article space". If not certain, add it to to wp:afc. Thanks for contributing! What I contributed is based on my years of scientific research and teaching science. It is an insight on the nature of material reality which I wanted to share.
That's all I have to say. Guess none of you really know about science.
Best regards,
Vicki Breazeale
- There is no need to get snarky. Wikipedia is, I am afraid, wholly uninterested in any individual editor's knowledge, experience or even expertise. It is only interested in facts that are documented in reliable sources. This means that Wikipedia may report that black is white if a reliable sources states it authoritatively. Whether Widr knows about science is as unimportant as can be. What matters more is whether your contributions to Wikipedia are made within the very specific rules of this enterprise. Fiddle Faddle 22:09, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
- I have now taken the time to read the entry reverted above. You wrote an opinion piece in the first person in the middle of that article. If you have the scientific background that you state you should know that this is entirely inappropriate for an encyclopaedia. Articles here are not first person presentations or lectures given by an editor to the assembled populace. Please try to understand this place. If you don't work at it I predict that you will continue not to enjoy editing here. That would be a shame because I see you as an energetic and valuable editor once you learn the trick to it. Is there any help I can offer you? Fiddle Faddle 22:15, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
I am learning very slowly about Wikipedia editng. Thanks so much for your help. I am able to learn but against rules. Thanks very much. Vicki Breazeale
- I have a suggestion. Please take some time to read this essay which is by no means perfect, but has hints and tips I've learned over the years about working here happily and well. I make errors still, so will any editor., but it has helped me to make fewer. One thing you can learn at once: on talk pages, please sign your messages with ~~~~ whcih turns automagocally into your signature. Never in articles, only in discussions.
