Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to WCYK-FM, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Fred Rogers

[edit]

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Fred Rogers article. I found and cited a source confirming a January 2003 surgery, but no specific date is given. You have twice specified that it was January 6th and I have twice removed it. Please do not add extra information to the article unless you can cite a reliable source confirming the information. Thank you. —Notyourbroom (talk) 02:07, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Dunham

[edit]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable, reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Jeff Dunham. Doing so violates Wikipedia's policies of No Original Research and Verifiability. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please make sure you include such sources when adding material to articles. If you have any other questions about editing, just let me know. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 02:34, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your final warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Jeff Dunham, you will be blocked. Nightscream (talk) 16:27, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Regarding this edit, first, as another editor who reverted your edit pointed out, imdb is not considered a reliable source by Wikipedia, as its content is user-generated, and that site lacks editorial control over much of its material. Second, even if imdb were considered a valid source you did not cite imdb in your edit. Sources need to be cited in the articles. Not in Edit Summaries. I'm not going to block you, since it's possible you did not know this, though if you had read the relevant policies that I linked to above, you would see have learned this. You can also learn more about how to properly cite sources as Wikipedia:Citing sources. Lastly, please do not "dare anyone to block [you] from editing". Comments like this are not in keeping with Wikipedia's Civility policy, or its guidelines on appropriate Edit Summaries. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 04:35, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, because the External links section is for links that may be of interest to readers of the article's topic. It's not a list of sources (that would be the References or Notes sections), nor does it have any bearing on reliability. If you go to the Reliable Sources Noticeboard and do a search on imdb, you'll find that most people agree that it's not reliable, especially for biographical information. Nightscream (talk) 16:25, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WBOP

[edit]

I try and name all my images something else so they don't overlap. No worries though. Just make a mental note when you upload an image, if it pops up as something is already named that, name it something else. Just a good rule to edit by :) If you ever have any questions, my talk page is always open. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk01:16, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help

[edit]

I couldn't update your file (cause there were some logo templates I couldn't find) so I just uploaded the same picture under a different name with the correct copyright information. Please be sure, when uploading an image, to use the correct copyright information or you will run into this time and time again. They watch the images here like hawks and are really good at their jobs, to protect Wikipedia. You can add {{db-author}} to your image and it can be deleted quicker as it is no longer needed. Sorry I couldn't help on your image. - NeutralHomerTalk03:49, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Good work on adding references to the Virginia radio station pages. You should always (when you can) add references to you work. Keep up the good work :) - NeutralHomerTalk23:19, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is still a stub until more information is added. Actually the people from WP:WPRS should come around and rerate all the radio station pages. WP:Virginia should do the same. Seems the WikiProjects are moving a little slow though. I would leave the rating systems to them though. - NeutralHomerTalk23:27, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Cite Error

[edit]

When you get that, just add this to the page. That takes care of the cite error. All that is telling you is you need to add a reflist template. - NeutralHomerTalk02:00, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, we all learn something new every day :) - NeutralHomerTalk02:09, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WJJS

[edit]
The call sign history deals with the call sign, not with the frequency. Thus why it's called the "call sign history" and not "frequency history." Because the FCC site will not allow me to link directly to the documents in question, I will simply link you here: [1]
By the way, telling someone that "you are wrong" does not make them very anxious to help you. Just FYI. TripEricson (talk) 02:25, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, you're fine. Just that telling someone they're wrong before waiting for their citation doesn't generally make people happy. Were you able to interpret the information in the link? TripEricson (talk) 16:44, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RE: WBNN-FM

[edit]

The VARTV source is what someone heard on their radio, which is considered originial research. We have to rely on the FCC's plot maps in this case, even if they are a little off. - NeutralHomerTalk21:32, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It may, I am not sure. But remember, the FCC only goes back in online records to about 1979. So stations that have been broadcasting before that will not show up. Look up KDKA (AM) for example, you won't find records from 1920 when it went on the air. Not sure why, but they just aren't online. - NeutralHomerTalk22:07, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I pulled that off 100000watts.com (a pay site, I let my account go) so I can't. If you want to remove that and just leave it blank, you can. - NeutralHomerTalk21:32, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Free Fallin', please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.-5- (talk) 09:32, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: VARTV source

[edit]

Yes, VARTV is a reliable source. Kinda hard to directly source (since there isn't a direct link to each story), but it is a reliable source as he sometimes just links to stories from local newspapers. - NeutralHomerTalk21:58, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Sunnymasthead-2011.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sunnymasthead-2011.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited WWED, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Classical (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for uploading File:Sunny 935 2002-2004.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited WWUZ, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Classic Rock (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WJVR‎

[edit]

WJVR lists their format as "Today's Best Music and All of Your Favorites From The Last 40 Years". This would be considered a Gold-based Adult Contemporary format (as they previously had on the former WXCF-FM) and I think we should trust the station over VARTV on this one. - NeutralhomerTalk20:37, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm TenPoundHammer. Your recent edit to the page Parodyziac!! appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. We at Wikipedia love evidence-based medicine. Please cite high-quality reliable sources. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. A list of resources to help edit such articles can be found here. The edit box has a build in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. WP:MEDHOW walks through editing step by step. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. WTGD has not yet changed their callsign to WWRE. Even if they have on air, we still have to wait until they have via the FCC website. - NeutralhomerTalk13:35, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
