Thanks. Could you give me some more specific tips on getting this published? He is a reputable leader with third-party validation from NY Times and other sources. Would appreciate any help here. UpWriteGhost (talk) 20:34, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Most of your content is unsourced. Your first two sources are by him not about him, and the third is just a quote by him. KylieTastic (talk) 20:38, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, regards your query. Draft:Shub Debgupta is submitted so will be reviewed at some time. There is no actual queue or order as volunteer editors pick at random or from preferred subject areas etc. The backlog is currently at a low state but still running at up to 6 weeks wait. Sorry but to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random or work on certain topics, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also I'm currently not editing/reviewing much due to real life issues. You can continue to improve while waiting: for instance there are still many claims will no clear source. Hello UpWriteGhost. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:UpWriteGhost. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=UpWriteGhost|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. CoconutOctopus talk 07:14, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. Nope, unpaid and trying to get Shub some visibility, as he is a notable figure making a big impact. In looking over some of the most recently approved Wikipedia entries by other contributors, I am struggling to see how mine is missing the mark. I have included multiple credible sources and toned down the language dramatically. Would appreciate any further guidance here. THANK YOU! UpWriteGhost (talk) 13:01, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
