Ye Olde Angel Of The Opera Debate

[edit]

Please don't create pages for non notable, not even truly scheduled musicals like The Angel Of The Opera, and please don't mention it in other articles unless truly relevant. I have removed all these references. If you want to recreate these articles, please provide references from reliable sources indicating that this musical is in any way WP:NOTE&notable. Fram (talk) 12:20, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please correct me if I'm wrong, Fram, but I do believe that the page included a

sign, meaning that when more people learn about the musical opera (as I call it), I could recive extra infomation from reliable soruces. In fact, I only knew that Lachlan carries a harp because my friend is rehersing for the part of Hillary Pupp in the musical, and knows infomation from a source most people would kill/die for-the creator of the musical herself.

I do not mean to sound rude. --UnicornTwilight (talk) 00:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please check our reliable sources and notability guidelines. What we need are independent, reliable sources about the subject. There were no newspaper reviews, magazine articles, ... about the musical: not surprising, since it hasn't even a more or less fixed date yet. You were trying to promote a new musical, but Wikipedia is not the place to do so. We only should have articles on subjects after they have become notable, not before. The "in use" template has no bearance on that, and is not intended as a means to avoid deletion. Fram (talk) 08:49, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your {{Prod}} of {{inuse}}

[edit]

Hi there. You recently added a prod template to Template:Inuse without wrapping it in <noinclude></noinclude>. As a result you accidentally proded every single article that that template was on. :P Keep in mind that templates cannot be proposed for deletion. Instead, consider templates for deletion. Cheers. :) --slakrtalk / 07:18, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oops! And thank you. :P --UnicornTwilight (talk) 07:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vanners

[edit]

Hi, thanks for the cleanup on the Gypsy Vanner article, it's one of those articles that needs serious cleanup by someone like yourself who is capable of resisting the urge to declare a particular breed capable of walking on water and leaping skyscrapers in a single bound! LOL! BTW, if you want to help with more breed articles, we have about 350 (see list of horse breeds) and there are plenty on the smaller, obscure breeds that need more sources and such. Check in at WikiProject Equine if you want some ideas of where we need the most help! Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 23:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page protection

[edit]

I have protected this user's Userpage, because it was being repeatedly amended by someone unable to demonstrate they were the user themselves. The edit summaries for the Userpage give general background. If User:UnicornTwilight actually logs in and requests the protection be lifted, any admin should feel free to fulfil that requeast without asking me. Protection removed. Thanks for logging in. Euryalus (talk) 10:49, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Unicorn!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

[edit]
Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
