Victor Navone Article

[edit]

Hi Uncle Roy!

I just wanted some clarification in regards to my article on Victor Navone. I did all the research necessary in order to produce accurate information, and I made a conscious effort to reword Victor's own blog bio (which was referenced) in order to make it different enough, but still no stray too far away from the truth of the source. However, my information keeps getting taken down, no matter how many times I reword it. So I just wanted to get in touch with you and clarify what exactly I can do in order to get this information out there as fast as possible. Thank you very much!

--Dceballos (talk) 14:09, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. You need to write the information in your own words, using a WP:Neutral point of view. Just changing a few words here and there from his own bio page isn't what's needed: please also have a read of WP:Close paraphrasing. Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 14:12, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So you've simply added the copyvio right back in, creating work for me and an admin to get rid of it. I've been trying to rescue this article since you posted it, and now I'm sorry I bothered trying to help. Uncle Roy (talk) 15:21, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hi there uncle roy thanks for your help with M G Moula Miah. However, someone has removed your links and this effects this article also i will give you much more links and i still havent completed it yet and key facts havent been put in yet. @MUSTAFIZ 0121: what do you mean, "someone has removed your links"? Uncle Roy (talk) 19:05, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Their trying to remove the article M G Moula Miah however I have still not put any key facts in to it as i was very busy and have to explain them in much more detail. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MUSTAFIZ 0121 (talkcontribs) 07:00, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Uncle Roy. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Megha Soni, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article claims importance/significance of the subject. Thank you. SoWhy 12:29, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Daniel Janies on May 9

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for flagging, apparently I didn't have the time to fix his bio before it was completely deleted. Last published version had short part on Education section that was not well rewritten for lack of other possibilities to explicitly say when Dr. Daniel Janies graduated from College. Is it possible to recover deleted page and send to draft so I can address issues? At least 90% of it was not even rewritten, was new writing. Thanks, Darrieux — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darrieux (talkcontribs) 21:27, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Darrieux. Ordinarily, yes: please see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. But if there are substantial copyright issues, then some administrators might be reluctant to undelete - you'd need to ask. Uncle Roy (talk) 00:54, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Uncle Roy, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to United States Tennis Association have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:48, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Strategic decision making

[edit]

Please see comments I've left on the Talk page of Strategic decision making and on the Talk page of the article creator. I hate to see new editors discouraged from continuing to contribute to Wikipedia by having a delete notice slapped on their first bit or work. But I do have concerns on this need for this one. Regards Nick Moyes (talk) 09:13, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well I did wait an hour, and then improved the page a bit before adding the copyedit tag. That's not nit-picking: it really needs wholesale rewriting in places. Thanks for the ping about the talk page. That is a good way to engage a new editor. Uncle Roy (talk) 09:27, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

May 17th Deletion Charles DeBarber

[edit]

@Uncle Roy: Pardon me if this is the second message I sent, but wiki talk is a bit confusing and I wanted to be sure. I'm not the subject in the article and am a fan of Hunted. I have not met Mr. DeBarber personally, but did watch him speak back in late February or early March. I originally thought he might be a stolen valor situation. I've outed military frauds before, but his FOIA came back in April and he is indeed what he claims to be. I've edited the page to respect the comments previously to include removing sources from WikiLeaks, IMDB, and LinkedIn. I added publicly available records that can be obtained for free via a FOIA request. If you would like a copy of the FOIA request letter and response I can provide that.— Preceding unsigned comment added by ThemLuckyRabbits (talkcontribs)

hello uncle roy, you proposed an article about cryptocurrency for deletion, unfortunately i think you have very less knowledge about cryptocurrencies and havent read any other article before regarding them. You made no valid point why the article should be deleted as there is everything in that article which can be found in other similar articles. Please dont do that again thankyou Uncle Roy (talk) 08:26, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A1/A3

[edit]

Just as an FYI: A1 is for articles where you can't tell even via Google what the article is about. Something like: Floorbeenhood: a thing that is blurple. A3 is for things that have no content like Saliya Pieris, since by the fact that it has a name, we can tell it is about a person named Saliya Pieris. We also have a de facto grace period on these articles of 15 minutes before tagging. Gives the creator a chance to write something and doesn't bite them. All the best! TonyBallioni (talk) 16:24, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, the A1 must have been a Twinkle derp - I'm familiar with A1/A3. Also it was an article with the creator account name, which is often what kids do when they first create an account, just to test. It was twelve minutes old when I tagged it, and had thought the customary grace period was ten minutes, but I'll take your word for it: happy to wait fifteen instead. Uncle Roy (talk) 17:12, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem. The A1/A3 grace period is 15 according to WP:NPP, which is what I go by. Thanks for the work you are doing! TonyBallioni (talk) 17:26, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By Toutatis, you're right, there it is on WP:NPP, which I clearly need to re-read and see what else I've missed/forgotten/receded-into-sleep-deprived-haze. Uncle Roy (talk) 17:36, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am GODARA.the page Extortion (2017 film) has no reliable references and IMDB is not a perfect References.I request you to add Another perfect references and if you have not any perfect source then nomination it for deletion.thank you. (GODARA (talk) 04:59, 21 May 2017 (UTC))[reply]

It already has a reference from The Hollywood Reporter. But feel free to improve the article. Uncle Roy (talk) 05:00, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, GODARA, I am Jean-Pierre Boucher, the one that just started the page on this film, and Uncle Roy here was kind enough to improve it, even though it was quite late last night. A little bit patience will be appreciated GODARA as this is my very first page here on Wikipedia. Also the film in question appeared to have been a direct-to-video release as I can't find any information on theatrical release or on some film festival. In other words, reliable information is scarce and I'm a newbie. Just give me some time and, like Uncle Roy suggested; "... feel free to improve the article." As for myself, I'm currently relying on an already-made article about another film in an effort to make this one appear presentable and I promise to conduct the most diligent research I can muster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jean-Pierre Boucher (talkcontribs) 12:29, 21 May 2017 (UTC) Jean-Pierre Boucher (talk) 13:45, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Interviewing Sebastian

[edit]

Hi there I was wondering your like a pro at this stuff would you mind interviewing sebastian tonight . He wants a summary on why he started his radio career and who inspired him etc. Our staff wrote that before but it was deleted. We were wondering if you could interview him only a few questions. Johnnytest1351 (talk) 19:24, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello That's very kind of you to offer, but I'll have to decline, thanks. Also, an interview with another Wikipedia editor wouldn't be a good enough reference to support adding biographical information on him to an article: it has to come from a WP:Reliable source. Best of luck with your podcast. Uncle Roy (talk) 20:08, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok yeah because all the stuff that we would write on his personal Wikipedia page was getting deleted by you. Was his information incorrect or something? Also, it's not a podcast it's a 24/7 live streaming online radio station it exists haha. So our staff was wondering why everything they write is declined may I ask why? His personal life isn't fraud or anything they are facts haha. Johnnytest1351 (talk) 20:36, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy deletion

[edit]

Hi There MX (Michael Angelo Oentardi) is now signed under MXE Entertainment and is an artist under MXE Entertainment. http://www.mxefamily.com/notice-news. He deserves to be on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kpop05 (talkcontribs) 10:29, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Kpop05: Even if he is signed with a company doesn't mean he is notable. In its current form, it seems to suggest he is only an trainee. Clubjustin Talkosphere 10:47, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That, and you along with all your other sockpuppet accounts have repeatedly lied about his career, pasted in fake references, added unsourced fake claims, etc. He's not going to get an article here, so give it a rest. Uncle Roy (talk) 10:50, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Anil Kumar Rai

[edit]

@Uncle Roy: you have removed the speedy tag mentioning that the subject is a dean of a university is a credible assertion of notability but the subject is dean, student’s welfare and head of department (department of mass communication) of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, wardha, maharashtra (India) which has no inherent notability attached to it also can you please find me a single source on the web to the article's claims? I feel you should have let an admin decide if it should be declined or not or you should have added a reliable source before doing so.Prof. Anil Kumar Rai 'Ankit' about the same subject in question this was speedly deleted too.Thank you  FITINDIA  11:58, 26 May 2017 (UTC),[reply]

I agree, it's badly sourced, badly written, and almost certainly not notable enough for an article. But by the criteria at WP:CSD, it's not eligible for db-a7. And we don't need to be an admin to decline a speedy: any editor who didn't create the article is free to do so. Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 12:06, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Uncle Roy: and this too Anil Kumar Rai 'Ankit' the page is being repeatedly recreated after its speedly deleted. FITINDIA  12:16, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Look again: it was only created once. Uncle Roy (talk) 12:18, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
this is the third time it was recreated Prof. Anil Kumar Rai 'Ankit',Anil Kumar Rai 'Ankit' and this Anil Kumar Rai please have a look at the creators talk page here [1] and as you said it was not badly sourced but unsourced.  FITINDIA  12:24, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Unsourced BLP is grounds for BLP prod, but it's nothing to do with A7. And my declining your speedy has nothing to do with his re-creating it. Also, those first two were created yesterday and the day before: nothing to do with me. Uncle Roy (talk) 12:29, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a reference from the university now: he's the dean of a school there. Uncle Roy (talk) 12:37, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Read the article carefully: he's had other notable academic positions as well. Yes, those need to be referenced. If you disagree, then an AFD is the correct next stage, not speedy deletion. Uncle Roy (talk) 12:48, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

State Service For Mobilization and Conscription of The Republic of Azerbaijan

[edit]

Hello, Uncle Roy! Please stop your disruptive editing, I am still working on this article. I didn`t use any copied information. I have translated the information that I took from official website of State Service For Mobilization and Conscription of The Republic of Azerbaijan!LadymooN (talk) 07:28, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When did I accuse you of using copied information? All I did was clean up the formatting on an article you started. Uncle Roy (talk) 07:31, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have changed the content of the Decree by President Ilham Aliyev. Please undo all your editings, it`s about government agency of my country, I created it in accordance with official website of the agency. LadymooN (talk) 07:42, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please have a read of Wikipedia:Ownership of content. Wikipedia is a collaborative editing environment, and many editors will edit that article to improve it: that's the whole point of Wikipedia. What is it about my changes that you object to? Uncle Roy (talk) 07:46, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the editings are for improvement of the article, but your editings don`t improve my article. You changed the content of the decree by President and deleted headings that I was planning to fill. Undo all your editings, please! LadymooN (talk) 07:54, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand. Which part of your previous edit to the article was a decree by the President, and why does the decree need to be quoted verbatim? Please also have a read of Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section: we don't simply put a section at the top titled "Introduction". Uncle Roy (talk) 07:59, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don`t say that the decree need to be quoted verbatim, I say that as you divided the first sentence into 2 parts, the content of the decree was changed. Ok, I`ll improve it myself, thanks for your attention. LadymooN (talk) 08:10, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Annoying users

[edit]

So, when you're dealing with an annoying situation like User:Merrimack River, it was pretty clear pretty quickly that you weren't going to get him to stop by politely messaging him, and certainly not by edit warring with him -- I think you should have gotten the attention of an admin a lot sooner, rather than reverting him dozens of times. Instead, it kinda doubled the amount of hassle I had to go to to resolve the problem; not only did I have to double check that he was doing multiple wrongful things, but I also also had to check to make sure that I didn't have to hassle you for edit warring. A quick note on AN/I would likely have been a lot more efficient. Cheers! --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 01:15, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PS -- I deleted most of his edits and redirects. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 01:16, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, didn't realize that it created more work for admins: I do try to WP:AGF and be polite. By the way, I notice that Rocks Village Bridge was speedied twice G5 before, but I don't see a link to an SPI. Are you able to work out which puppeteer that G5 applies to? Seems as if this new editor was very quickly able to post up a block appeal to his talk page, attempt commenting out their entry at AIV, etc. Uncle Roy (talk) 01:19, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I overlooked that detail. Yeah, that's User:I Love Bridges. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 01:41, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

International recognition of Khojaly Genocide

[edit]

Let me point you to the criterion: it is for reposts, not separate content on the same subject. Where is the content of the current page's "International recognition" section in the original page? Are there any similarities between

The Khojaly Genocide is currently recognized and commemorated by parliamentary acts adopted in nine countries and in twenty one states of the United States of America

and

Khojaly Massacre recognition is the formal acceptance that the massacre of Azerbaijani civilians killed along with retreating Azerbajani militia from town of Khojaly by Armenians, committed by Nagorno-Karabakh forces and troops from 366 CIS regiment in 1992 constitutes massacre.

Quite obviously not, so this is not a repost and does not qualify for G4 speedy. Do not tag pages for G4 speedy unless you can demonstrate that they are reposts. Nyttend (talk) 20:44, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Nyttend: The second paragraph is obviously a re-wording of the first. CSD G4 says "sufficiently identical", not"identical". But you're saying that all an editor need do to repost an article that was AFD'd is to rewrite the lead? Uncle Roy (talk) 20:57, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion over Nazim Hussain Nazim

[edit]

Uncle Roy, Hello! I can see a message on the page Nazim Hussain Nazim which says this article was about a person and not mention his albums, books or shows. So I added information about books of Nazim Hussain Nazim and also tried to briefly describe his books and achievements. I am trying to make this article perfect for Wikipedia. I have contested its deletion twice as you suggested. Please help me to improve this article so that it exists in Wikipedia as a good article. Waiting for your response... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bilad il Islamia (talkcontribs) 10:50, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Uncle Roy, I think Nazim Hussain Nazim meets wikipedia criteria for deletion as it seems to be a biography and does not cite any reliable source. So this article can be proposed for deletion. Sinner 14:04, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Given that as time goes by these figures and specifics may not be remembered, I believe it is important to capture and create the chronological history of those willing to serve the public during one of America's most try periods. CLR2017 (talk) 22:31, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, but Wikipedia has guidelines on what and who is notable enough for inclusion, and being a much-loved public servant alone isn't enough. Please have a read of WP:BIO for more information on this. Was there anything written about him in books or magazines? Did he doing anything else notable that was documented somewhere in a WP:Reliable source? Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 22:55, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Samikrc01, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

 Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs) 05:15, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated that article for speedy and then for BLP prod. Then when it was clearly ineligible for both, I tidied it up. What's your evidence of my sockpuppeteering, apart from the fact that I've got "Roy" in my account name? Uncle Roy (talk) 05:50, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why?

[edit]

Why wikipedia is deleting all my created pages? This is wrong it takes almost a day to create a page and you deleted it?! Alastor k. Williams (talk) 11:32, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Only two have been deleted so far, and looking at the logs, the one I nominated only took a few minutes to create. In that page, you didn't say anything about how Sarib Samoo is notable. You can have a read of WP:BIO for more information on who is notable enough for a biographical article on Wikipedia. Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 11:40, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"reference says nothing about this company"

[edit]

Hi,

Thank you for your edits. You mentioned "reference says nothing about this company", which reference are you talking about?

Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.142.6.241 (talk) 12:29, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The reference right next to the "failed verification" tag in that edit: [2]. It mentions his name, but doesn't say anything about the company. References are meant to WP:Verify what's written. Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 13:50, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cricket articles

[edit]

Thanks for your help in editing some of the cricket articles I've been working on recently! You have a great eye for editing. If you have a chance, I'd love it if you could glance some of the other new articles I've worked on, too, especially the ones that haven't been reviewed by another user yet.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Climate7298 (talkcontribs)

You're most welcome. I'll have a look and see if I can contribute anything. Uncle Roy (talk) 05:10, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, quick random question for you, I noticed in the Special New Pages Feed (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:NewPagesFeed) that some of my recent created articles (like the one on Sareen Sports Industries) are classified as reviewed, whereas others (like the one on SS Sunridges Ton, or Cow corner (cricket), or Helicopter shot) still are classified as unreviewed -- even though all of those pages have been reviewed by someone else, and no longer have an 'unreviewed' tag on them. Any idea why that might be? Appreciate your advice.
They need to be marked as reviewed by an editor with permissions to do that: I'm not one of them. Uncle Roy (talk) 06:49, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ah makes sense. So, I'm guessing that in the example of Sareen, the user who did that is Sulaimandaud? That makes sense. Climate7298 (talk) 06:51, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's right: here's the log entry showing it. Uncle Roy (talk) 07:00, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So helpful, thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Climate7298 (talkcontribs) 07:05, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Qiz qala

[edit]

Hi, and sorry for my article "Qiz qala". I thought I was editing an article on my sandbox page but it turned out that it is in public domain. Sorry for that. Could you delete that article please. Thank you! Progint (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:22, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Progint, no problem. But may I ask why you're creating so many articles in Uzbek in your sandbox pages? You don't seem to have created any articles in the main article space yet. Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 09:26, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I create articles in sandbox then upload them into UzbekWikipedia, because of uzwiki does not have sandbox or I can not find it there. You can find all my articles from sandbox in uzwiki main article space.--Progint (talk) 09:29, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You could create them as subpages of your user page, for example, uz:Foydalanuvchi:Progint/Qiz qala. Uncle Roy (talk) 09:35, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! I do not know that. Thank you very much !--Progint (talk) 09:39, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're most welcome. I'm surprised to see that Uzbek Wikipedia doesn't have a sandbox link at the top right, but there are many differences between the different WPs. Happy editing! Uncle Roy (talk) 09:40, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Eian Beron

[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to create additional speedy deletion tags after an admin has made a decision, as you did at Eian Beron, you may be blocked from editing. JediLuke16 (talk) 13:09, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And which policy are you quoting at me in this fake template, Eian? Uncle Roy (talk) 13:11, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please review the deletion policies. Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Tagging. Here's a quote regarding speedy deletion - "Renominations: Either a page fits the speedy deletion criteria or it does not. If there is a dispute over whether a page meets the criteria, the issue is typically taken to deletion discussions, mentioned below, rather than being deleted." You may create another deletion discussion if you disagree. Continuously adding the speedy deletion tag, however, is not okay. Also, I am not Eian. You can feel free to have an admin do a UserCheck on me. I really don't care. I'm here to try to add value to an article. Not argue with people who seem to have a vendetta against a community they know nothing about. Thanks. JediLuke16 (talk) 13:19, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please review WP:CSD. In the fifth paragraph: "The creator of a page may not remove a speedy deletion tag from it". Uncle Roy (talk) 13:22, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I understand that policy when it is the first time a tag is being added. However at this point it is vandalism to re-add it. And you allow it to happen because you dislike the page. JediLuke16 (talk) 13:26, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what the policy says. Wait for an admin or another editor to decline it, and don't remove the tag yourself. I'm really not interested in helping out a self-promoting sockpuppeteer, but other editors are of course allowed to decline it. And I see you're now hassling Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi about this. Uncle Roy (talk) 13:29, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So that. As they say. Seems to be that! Cheers! — O Fortuna semper crescis, aut decrescis 14:08, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I do not make any edit war. I'm already shaken for what's going...... Continue to write you regards Peter39c (talk) 23:01, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter39c: I'm sorry to hear that you're upset about the incident. But the police have not confirmed yet what happened: driver might have had an accident, been drunk or on drugs, etc. Please remove the entry from List of terrorist incidents in June 2017 until police have said that it was a terrorist incident. Beautiful Loser (Kyle album)

[edit]

Please don't delete that page, I think it should not be deleted because this is one of Kyle's Creations, This take forever to make these pages, It will show more stuff about the Album Of Kyle. No One Else has made a Album about it, and why is it getting deleted? I worked hard, but anyways that is my reason. AlexWikiIDK (talk) 23:42, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion was decided at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beautiful Loser (Kyle album). What has changed about the album since then? Uncle Roy (talk) 23:47, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

While the fourth episode is either of Opening Night or Photo Finish, I could find neither on IMDb under either Ngaio Marsh or George Baker! PS: Probably the New Zealand Listener (1977, when?) would help? Hugo999 (talk) 01:24, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a reference from "NZOnScreen", not sure if that's a WP:Reliable source though. Uncle Roy (talk) 01:31, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

I want to apologize for botching the page move. Thank you for fixing that. The page should be titled Rocky Run-Wilcox Township, Hancock County, Illinois and the the Rocky Run-Wilcox Tonwship page should redirect to that. Every other township in Illinois has the Township, County, State naming convention.

MPEN320 (forgot to sign) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpen320 (talkcontribs)

That's OK, I've made the same mistake before. Regarding the naming convention, it's only necessary to disambiguate article titles when there's a reasonable chance of two of them having the same name. On a title like Bear Creek Township, then it's necessary. But how likely is it that there will ever be another place called Rocky Run-Wilcox Township? Thanks, Uncle Roy (talk) 02:16, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your UP

[edit]

Hi, you might want to redirect your UP to your talk if you're gonna leave it empty? Oh and how is my new signature, maybe I should change the colors? maybe not? --Lil Johnny(t·c) on 02:29, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, well as you probably saw from its history, a new editor posted some talk there, then reverted it. Thought about db-author, then thought I should probably add something useful in there: lots of infoboxes to choose from. :-)
The colours in your sig look great, but it is a little hard for me to read. I can hover over it to see your real name, but new editors might struggle a little. Uncle Roy (talk) 02:33, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NPP

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. You tagged Kireç Koyu for one or more issues, but you did not check it as patrolled. As you did not inform the author it may therefore remain as a permanently tagged article. If you are not already a New Page Reviewer, and if you already have sufficient experience you may wish to check out this user right and apply for it at WP:PERM. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:36, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you should apply for it! I'm 99.9% sure they will grant you the right. --Lil Johnny(t·c) on 02:44, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I don't want to cause any extra work for anyone, so I'll apply, thanks. Uncle Roy (talk) 10:43, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No Mistake

[edit]

@Uncle Roy there should be no reason for it to be deleted, I fixed my mistakes, there is nothing wrong. AlexWikiIDK (talk) 18:51, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see anything wrong with it either. But that's not the problem. Consensus at the last deletion discussion was to delete. Has anything changed since then? Uncle Roy (talk) 20:15, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Uncle Roy. Thanks for checking my article. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, so can you re-iterate it to me? It is a youth council, like the British Youth Council, and that has not been deleted? Can you check that you deleted the right article please? And if there is anything wrong with my article, can you let me know. Can you re-upload the deleted article and re-post it, and tell me what to change and improve and I will do so.RickstaDaBest123 (talk) 06:52, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Mark Hill

Hi Uncle Roy,

I noticed you deleted my entry for Mark Hill, the celebrity hairdresser, citing it as unambiguous advertising. As you can imagine, I'd like the page reactivated as soon as possible, and would appreciate any notes you can give me to make the entry purely informational. I'd also appreciate if you could send me the deleted material so I can make the fundamental improvements you require to make it more encyclopaedic.
