Request reason:
I have been blocked from using TwoGomers to edit for the reason that only one person can use the account. I do use multiple computers to perform editing on this account. If possible, can someone please unblock me. I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I am very new to wikipedia, so if there's something I can be doing to prevent this in the future, please let me know. Thank you.
Decline reason:
The issue is not one person from multiple people but multiple people for one account. You need to create separate accounts and update your user page. Please see the guideline on account sharing. If you wish an unblock to create a new account and update your user page, please resubmit. WGFinley (talk) 23:49, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I apologize for not being clear. I am the only user for this account. I access the account on a total of three computers, all of which are my own. That being said, I do not understand why I am blocked.
Decline reason:
I understand, but:
- Your user page appears to be promotional for a podcast. Wikipedia is not for promotion and is not a blog or social networking site.
- Your user page indicates it's for two people, aside from making the change above you would need to make clear which of the two "Gomers" is the user of this account per the no sharing policy I linked you before.
- If you're here to make the best encyclopedia in the universe then check out our Five Pillars and tell us how you'd like to help. If you're here for my two points above I'm afraid you'll remain blocked. WGFinley (talk) 01:34, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Request reason:
I appreciate your quick reply. In response to your points:
# I assure you that this is not a promotional site. The page focuses on a podcast with thousands of listeners. I myself am not affiliated with the podcast. I am simple a listener that was incredible surprised not to find an entry on this podcast on wikipedia. This page still needs a lot more content before going live, including references. Information which I am unable to add unless I'm unblocked. That being said, I do understand that wikipedia is not for promotional use. # The page name is simply the name of the group, "Two Gomers" is the proper name of the podcast on which the information focuses. Would it help if I changed my user name to something more singular. I only made this my name because this is what I was hoping to focus on. # Per your instruction, I read through the Five Pillars. I hope that my explainations above help to overcome any further objections.
Accept reason:
Fair enough, if you could update your user page to reflect some of what you stated here (I think what you posted is a great start for your user page) it would help clear things up. Welcome aboard. WGFinley (talk) 03:22, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation
[edit]I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Two Gomers Podcast. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.
Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.
Here's an example of how to add references:
He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>
== References ==
{{reflist}}
That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.
Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

You were unblocked in good faith, but are now using this account to advertise the obscure website of the same name
[edit]- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
