If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Draft:Jenny Tsibiskak has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from http://zografiki.gr/zografoi-gallery/%CF%84%CE%B6%CE%AD%CE%BD%CE%B7-%CF%84%CF%83%CE%B9%CE%BC%CF%80%CE%B9%CF%83%CE%BA%CE%AC%CE%BA%CE%B7/tzeni-tsimpiskaki ; Google translation of same. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. — Diannaa (talk) 01:09, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply but this is quite absurd.
You are using Google translate to criticize my text and machine translation is proven to be unreliable and unacceptable in any kind of formal application.
Also, how different can a resume translation be then the one intended by the person who wrote it in the first place?
Would you be happy and satisfied with small changes in format or a couple of words? I cannot change the facts and personal info of a person.
I really think that you enjoy deleting articles just because you can, without serious justification.
Did you even notice that the person in question has died less than a month ago before asking me to alter her personal info?
Deleting articles with Google translate criteria is pretty sad, there are certainly more "humane" ways to keep deleting stuff for fun... Tsber1979 (talk) 07:37, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article references and images

[edit]

Tsber1979,

You do not need to upload images of museum signs to use them as references - you can use Template:Cite sign for that. References in general do not need to be online, it is perfectly acceptable to cite books or newspapers. References do need to be published (private correspondence is not accepted) and independent, and they do need to show that she meets notability requirements.

Any images of art by Draft:Jenny Tsibiskaki are copyrighted until life + 70 years according to Greek copyright law. If she died this year (which the draft does not even mention), then all of her art remains copyrighted until 2097 2092 and can't be uploaded here without explicit permission of her estate. This is a legal requirement based on copyright law and not merely a Wikipedia rule. It may be acceptable to upload one picture of her art as Wikipedia:Non-free content image, but you should try to get the draft accepted first. MKFI (talk) 19:59, 24 May 2022 (UTC) That should be 2092, not 2097. MKFI (talk) 06:12, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
