Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes ([[User:Redwolf24|Redwolf24]] 04:39, 14 July 2005 (UTC)) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes ([[User:Redwolf24|Redwolf24]]) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

- Sounds like a good plan. And don't worry, everyone has to start out somewhere, and if you make a mistake, plenty of people will be happy to help you (or, at least they should be!). Just remember, Wikipedia encourages you to be bold! -- Natalya 13:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Feel free to remove my <!-- --> comment on this page if you have evidence. A bit of history may help: Category:MR layout cars was originally a list, List of MR Cars, but the list was AfD'd and consensus was to make it into a category. I did the conversion by hand, and placed a comment whenever the article didn't mention that the car had an MR layout (hopefully eventually encouraging better sourcing eventually). To prevent future doubts, it may be a good idea to make sure that the article's also in Category:Rear wheel drive vehicles and Category:Mid-engined vehicles. --ais523 10:00, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
"Mr. Deity"
[edit]The article "Mr. Deity" has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 18:31, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello!
Thanks for the accurate coordinates in the article. I suppose they mark the position of Wotan’s tower? Do you know where exactly Gene is and can you give me the exact coordinates? Thanks --Quilbert (talk) 20:01, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- the coordinates 56.2878N 12.5394E in the article http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ladonia_%28micronation%29 was merely a point amongst the coastal structures as first found on medium resolution Swedish aerial photos (and confirmed by Lars Vilks), (now visible on Google maps).truthdowser (talk) 00:33, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

3D rendering
[edit]Hello,
remembering your excellent rendering of the RQ-170 Sentinel, do you think that you could find the time to reiterate your achievements with the Sukhoi PAK FA?
Cheers! Rama (talk) 10:16, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Rama; Firstly thank you for your esteem. Secondly this is a gracious request from someone who originally illustrated the RQ-170 article. I am not finished with the RQ-170 model/illustration yet; I am desperately trying to get a copy of the February issue of Combat Aircraft Monthly which has a new series of exclusive photos of the vehicle, and I know my representation falls a bit short of what I believe to be Wikipedia standards at this point. The Sukhoi_PAK_FA looks exponentially more difficult to model. Your faith in my skills flatters me. The article of course ideally would have an illustration soon. The image in the article at this time seems clearly copyright infringement. (I am quite sure a model derived from various copyrighted images and rendered from a different angle is not copyright infringement or original research, as almost anyone can look at the model and the images and see that they clearly resemble each other.) I am wondering if the PAK FA is significant, it looks highly derivative of the F-22 Raptor which itself has been in development for two decades and has all but been canceled. truthdowser (talk) 21:54, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- I notice that the photo used for the Russian language Wiki on the Sukhoi PAK FA is from the manufacturer's own publicity for the aircraft. http://www.sukhoi.org/news/company/?%20id=3142 Would that not be considered fair use? truthdowser (talk) 22:25, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes it would, but the core of the matter is precisely to replace Fair Use images with Free ones. The non-Free policy states "Non-free media may be used in articles only if: (...) It's used for a purpose that can't be fulfilled by free material (text or images, existing or to be created)" (my emphasis). A replacement is thus not only desirable, but required by the policy.
- It seems that there is enough documentation available for an isometric view to be created, I'll give it a try as I did with the Sentinel, maybe with more accuracy this time. This all reinforces my long-frustrated desire to achieve some proficiency with Blender. Thank you and cheers! Rama (talk) 12:11, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

The article David Brody (correspondent) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~Charmlet -talk- 23:19, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
RQ-170
[edit]Hi Truthdowser, just noticed your models of the RQ-170. Great stuff and very useful to wikipedia. In case you have time to do some further models for wikipedia, it could be very useful to some pages. I specifically have some UFO pages in mind, where there are good indications of the sighted craft, but no free pictures. If you ever have time, energy or interest in these, please let me know. Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Kempower, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 03:37, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your contributions to Kempower. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and see WP:SOLUTION. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 04:42, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- "promotional and reads like an advertisement"?! I've contributed to Wikipedia for over 2 decades, have zero connection to Kempower, including zero financial interest and this is an up and coming European company now building public infrastructure in North America. I put significant effort into creating that article just to have it deleted. No wonder Wikipedia doesn't have enough quality editors. Forget it. truthdowser (talk) 12:34, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
