1. No, that was not the correct place to post that question, which is why I'm answering it here.
2. You asked about the group you founded, called Treetopians United, and the draft article that you created about it. Since, as you mention, this is a small group who has not yet been the subject of any significant coverage, it is indeed too soon to create an article about this group. If, at some point, your group gains significance sufficient to be included at Wikipedia, you, as its founder, should not be the person to create the article about it.
