Sebastian Cruz Couture
[edit]Hello, thanks for joining Wikipedia! I notice that all your edits are on the topics of Sebastian Cruz Couture, and I wonder if you have some connection, or "conflict of interest" with them, such as that you are an employee or contractor or being paid for editing Wikipedia to market them.
This isn't necessarily a problem, but if this is so, you must immediately file a disclosure statement explaining any conflict of interest to ensure transparency. Here's an example of what a disclosure looks like - but let me know if you have any kind of questions about this, privately by email is fine if you’re having problems. You should also ensure that all your edits are factual and cannot be considered in any way promotional, and are backed up by citations to reliable sources demonstrating them to be true. An automated message explaining this is added below. Hope this is OK, let me know if you have any thoughts or questions. Blythwood (talk) 16:18, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Tripplehaze7. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sebastian Cruz Couture, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
Hello, thank you for reaching out on this. I do not have any such connections with the said brand but only an observant ‘fan’. They have been dressing some celebrities over the years and are quite notable as a luxury brand and I couldn’t find anything on them on Wikipedia like the other luxury brands and so I decided to do it. Thanks. Tripplehaze7 (talk) 17:31, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Tripplehaze7. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Sebastian Cruz Couture, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Tripplehaze7. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tripplehaze7|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Do not make any further edits until you have addressed this. John from Idegon (talk) 20:31, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello, this is the second time I am getting this notice. I have already explained that I am in no way linked to this business entity in the first notice I got. My way of discussion on the deletion discussion page is just to help me learn faster on rules and ways of putting together articles. Thanks. Tripplehaze7 (talk) 21:20, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
