Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1][2][3] MrOllie (talk) 14:32, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr. Ollie.
Can you please clarify the definition of spam or a collection of links? References provided were all put in to support the updated information regarding the availability and types of heat pump technology available in North America, as well as relevant government programs in place to help push their introduction into the market.
Thank you for helping to clarify; I am eager to help modernize and update HVAC related pages further, and definitely don't want to be locked out of providing up to date information about these products!
Best regards,
Tractor/Riley

You've been adding links to adveritsing and web stores. These are spam links, even if you happen to format them as if they are citations. MrOllie (talk) 15:55, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's not advertising, it is information from reputable companies in the supply industry, or companies for the government sponsored rebates.
Ok, to clarify then, is it better if I add this same information all over again, but just avoid any of the references that I provided? The information is factual information, just not sure if Wikipedia prefers with/without references then?
Thanks in advance for helping me understand! Appreciate your time and clarifications. 82.113.98.151 (talk) 20:17, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
