So, you're back up to your old tricks, are you? Try it again, and I'll report you for vandalism. – PeeJay 19:38, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just because other people are doing it in other articles doesn't mean it should be done in the Champions League article. It's wrong no matter where it's done. – PeeJay 19:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Offical versus unoffical sources for match reports

[edit]

Consensus has been reached that forcing the use of 'official' sources, such as club websites and the websites of UEFA and FIFA for match reports is not acceptable. The source I used is reliable and has comparable coverage, there is no reason to replace it, so please don't. If you want to use the 'official' source yourself, you may still do so if you are the first one to work on an entry.

Please see this thread on Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard and this WikiProject Football post for details.

In less than nine hours, three different editors (User:Tomcsy, User:Kante4, and me) reverted the edits of User:Sven Manguard on this matter, so I think it is fair for me to say that whatever "consensus" cited do not necessarily reflect the general opinion of many football editors. Hi. When you recently edited 2012–13 UEFA Europa League qualifying phase and play-off round, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Split and Gori (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nation pages over the events

[edit]

Hello Tomcsy,

Can you please fix the following pages first before the nations' pages. Kante4 is missing in action right now, and I'm publishing the other nations' articles with red links. I don't want to end up with stress and fatigue. Please be considerate. Thank you.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Swimming at the 2013 World Aquatics Championships – Men's 4 × 100 metre medley relay may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

2018–19 UEFA Europa League - well spotted

[edit]

Thanks for spotting the wrong country code. I thought I'd double checked these - but it's obviously difficult. I can't guarantee that I haven't done another mistake somewhere else either. I was hoping UEFA would have updated the draw on the website, but it doesn't seem to be there yet, so appologies if you find any others. 2A02:C7D:159:6A00:E0C3:2730:5C9:20C (talk) 11:02, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No it isn't. As for every single other IIHF page eliminated is used to indicate that they can no longer win. Hundreds and hundreds of pages do this. The 'R' is used for relegated when that becomes true.18abruce (talk) 01:13, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
