If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John "Korney" Kwiatkowski requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JDDJS (talk) 21:02, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I thought while I was creating the page that it would be deleted. But John Kiwatkowski is notable enough for a page if enough information on him could be found. TomUSA My talk page 21:08, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article John "Korney" Kwiatkowski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable person

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JDDJS (talk) 14:51, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that other editors found sources for the page. I don't think it should be deleted at this point. He seems to be a notable person because of the fact that there is a book written about his life and 2 references already on the article. If we find other sources, then it will be considered a notable page, no? TomUSA My talk page 21:26, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, Tom. It's Wikipedian Penguin. Because I know you are a fan of Eminem and you have been contributing to Eminem lately, could you do me a kind favor, just skim through this draft of "Love the Way You Lie" that I'm currently working on and give me an opinion on what you think? If there is any way I can improve it let me know as well. Feel free to edit the draft if you want to correct any typos and minor faults. (Don't touch the infobox cover and the music video screenshot, as using them in userspace violates WP:NFCC.) If you are too busy to, just let me know.

You can leave comments of the draft as a reply to this message here or on my talk page. Thanks. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 22:14, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A possible WikiProject Eminem

[edit]

Hi again. I'm proposing a WikiProject Eminem at WikiProject Council/Proposals/Eminem. Would you mind taking the time to vote there? Put your name in the Support section if you think he deserves one. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 14:14, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Remember

[edit]

Tom, I see that you are doing many drafts on various hip hop topics, which are coming along well. I hope you are aware of the notability guidelines of Wikipedia for a topic to have its own article. Here are some links you should see: Wikipedia:Notability (artists) and Wikipedia:Notability (music). I am not saying that all your drafts fail these criteria, just take a look at them before you move your drafts to mainspace. Also, YouTube and Twitter are often unreliable sources, so use reliable sources such as Billboard, MTV.com, Rolling Stone, Digital Spy, and news networks. Thanks. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 14:39, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Theft Wiki

[edit]

Hey, I'm gboyers, founder of Grand Theft Wiki. I notice on User:TomUSA/Grand_Theft_Wiki you call Wikia's GTA Wiki "Grand Theft Wiki", but this is incorrect. In October 2010, Grand Theft Wiki moved away from Wikia and became a separate site at grandtheftwiki.com, whilst Wikia's copy was renamed GTA Wiki. It was also me that founded Grand Theft Wiki in 2006, whilst Thai420 founded GTA Wikia, and they were later merged before they split again. Could you either update the links to GrandTheftWiki.com or change your page to be about GTA Wiki? I'm not trying to get you to take it down or switch your allegiance, I just don't want our name being applied to the wrong site! Thanks - Gerardtalk 18:08, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your quick reply. It is an annoyingly-complicated situation, which is sort of why I didn't want this page (even as a draft) to add to the confusion! I'll just edit it to be factual and leave it be. Thanks for your assistance - Gerardtalk 02:11, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Tobacco (musician), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. Ridernyc (talk) 15:32, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ridernyc, I got my information to the edit made on the page for Tobacco (musician) on this page. The page was not sourced however, so my mistake. TomUSA 01:27, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Nostalgia, Ultra, without providing a source and without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 04:33, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bongwarrior, I'm actually not responsible for the creation of the actual article in question. I originally saved the page as a draft, but someone else I guess created the actual article. If it does not meet the standards of Wikipedia, then it is okay to be deleted, and that is understandable. However, I would like to keep the page saved on my draft. Well, the article that I've proposed for deletion is the same one that you created. A third party moved it from User:TomUSA/Paradox to mainspace at some point. File permission problem with File:Pref1xurbanoutfitters.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pref1xurbanoutfitters.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:38, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
