Hi there. :-) I did some copy-editing (link) after your changes to the Jamilu Collins article to make sure it adheres to Wikipedia's conventions. Let me know if there's something you don't understand about my edit. Would you perhaps be able to add a reference for Collins' second appearance, against Tunisia? Recreation of articles

[edit]

Please do not recreate article that were previously deleted by discussion, as you did with Sebastian Osigwe, unless the subject has substantially changed or consensus on the issue of notability has shifted. With Osigwe, neither has happened. Accordingly, I have redeleted the page per WP:G4. Regards. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:12, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with a page I created with genuine information that was deleted twice. It's a footballer's page. His name is Sebastian Osigwe. I wouldn't know the reason for deletion as every bit of information were thoroughly researched. It was last deleted in November and hasn't been restored.

Thanks!

Tollexrism (talk) 10:33, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. :-) As @Sir Sputnik: mentioned in the post above yours the article was the deleted per WP:G4, a criterion which allows administrator to immediately delete pages without discussion when the article is a "sufficiently identical" copy of "a page deleted via its most recent deletion discussion". You can find that discussion including reasons for deletion at the discussion page here.
In short, the footballer was considered not notable by Wikipedia's notability standards for footballers (WP:NFOOTY). Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:51, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Robby.is.on has already said most of what I would have answered to your question. To have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria, called notability. For footballers, there are two relevant guidelines WP:NFOOTBALL, cited above, and WP:GNG. Osigwe doe not meet either. I hope that clears things up. Sir Sputnik (talk) 20:31, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Robby.is.on and talk, I totally understand all that was stated. I believe I can beep you guys once he meets any of the criteria. Thanks again!Tollexrism (talk) 07:24, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. You're welcome. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:11, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Sebastian Osigwe

[edit]

Hello, Tollexrism. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Sebastian Osigwe".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Dolotta (talk) 16:28, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
