Impersonator

[edit]

Looks like someone has taken a liking to you. I've reported Kyo Cat 2 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) for impersonating you, the great Kyo cat. He won't be coming back ;) // Sasuke-kun27 21:02, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know I've made it when a vandal impersonates me. Friggin' sweet, I'm famous! Ha ha.... Well, I must admit.....I am great.....Ah ha ha....But, I must be humble about it. Tch, just kidding. I'm not that great. Thanks for reporting him. I'm keeping an eye on Monsterty (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) as well. HE recently vandalized my user page, and I suspect he is Kyo cat 2. Thanks again! ¡Qué valiente! Expect a surprise, my friend....--Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 21:08, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm actually kinda jealous (I wish I had someone impersonating me...) Whatever. I'll look into the whole "Monsterty = Kyo Cat 2" thing to see what's going on. There's a pretty good chance that the two are the same. // Sasuke-kun27 21:13, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks amigo ;)

[edit]

Thanks so much for your personal barnstar...I have never received an 100% user made award before! Thank you so much you have really made my day. I am so excited, Cheers! — Seadog 21:40, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't believe it has been there "that" long, I saw it before but did not think anything about it then today I read your guidelines and just couldn't resist. — Seadog 21:58, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey friend, what does que tal mean? Just asking. — Seadog 00:22, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's spanish for "What's up?". I'm thinking of changing it to "Qué pasa?", meaning "what's happening?". Or something like that. Oh! How about, "¿Quíeres hablar?" ? It means "Want to talk?". Heh heh....spanish is a cool language to me! ¡Adiós amigo! — Kyo cat¿Qué tal?meow! 01:18, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow do what ever you like, yeah the Spanish language is cool since they have upside down exclamation marks and question marks, oh well I hardly know anything besides music. I know a decent amount of Sanskrit but I doubt you will want to hear about thant. </rambling> Cheers! — Seadog 14:43, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter
Issue 008 – December 2006

Issue of the Month

Wikipedia's standards are improving all the time, with the result that many articles in The Beatles Wikiproject are being nominated for review of their FA and GA status - and many are losing that accolade. It is difficult, with such a large number of articles and the ease with which editors may make changes which are detrimental, to maintain the standard of articles, let alone improve them. As ever, members efforts are both appreciated and needed to keep the Project on course.

Beatles News
  • A Beatles compilation called "Love", featuring tracks remastered by George Martin (with his son Giles), has been released and has made number 1 in Canada.
  • The impending divorce between Paul McCartney and the former Heather Mills continues to make the pages in the tabloid press in the UK.
Project News
  • The hottest Project page this month has been Paul McCartney (see above and below).
Member News
From the Editors

If one is to be mercenary about the subject, it should be noted that Paul McCartney is going to be more noteworthy than usual in the near future as his divorce case comes to court. In that case it is great to note that a small group of Project Members (plus another individual who does not feel compelled to register himself despite important contributions) have worked very hard, and in an atmosphere of good humour, to take the McCartney piece to a succesful Good Article nomination. Perhaps this is the method to use for future articles, a small dedicated team concentrating on one subject at a time. Of course, all members are invited to join any existing group or even go about forming their own. Please note any such action in the Project Log.

If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!

Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 009 – January 2007). Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!

Re: Hi there!

[edit]

Thanks for the "Kyo Cat Barnstar"! I'll have to get you one, too... I'm very happy about you thinking I'm a good friend and hope we can cultivate it! ¡Adios, mi amiga! —¡Randfan! 22:25, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Is there such a category?

[edit]

Yeah, there used to be a category for bands with colors in their names, but it's been since deleted. I guess you were just the first to notice that it hadn't been removed from the BOC page yet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vazor20X6 (talkcontribs)

Whats wrong???

[edit]

Why have you deleted most of your userpage? Are you okay, I am very worried about you. — Seadog 23:05, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to hear

[edit]

Yes I have depression also, very bad...and I feel exactly like that picture that you see on your userpage. It is hard and a couple of days ago I blanked mine and left a note but reverted it the next morning for basically the same reason as yours. I hope you get to feeling better, if you need me you may contact me (talk or email). Cheers! I like the new sig...what font is it? — Seadog 02:35, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Heck I forgot to say something...Welcome to the Guitarist wiki project!!! I hope you can find some things to contribute to since some the articles basically stink :p, But welcome any way! — Seadog 02:36, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hee hee you are right it is cute! Hey feel free to contribute whenever you like to the project. Hey if you know a thing or two about Strat players would you mind helping me out with the List of Stratocaster players article since I am trying to get it featured. Cheers. — Seadog 02:44, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thats fine with me, basically my name policy is that anyone can call me what ever they want just as long as it is civil! Thanks I am glad you like the name Arjun. — Seadog 02:49, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Claymore

[edit]

American English is probably better. I am probably most responsible for imposing British English on the article, since its my preferred style. Sorry to cause you trouble. Rintrah 06:31, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I still have a couple of pages to go through. I'd say it is nearly finished.
I don't know which word is best, Hybrid or Claymore, though I would suggest Hybrid, unless the Claymore says otherwise.
I have a really bad headache now, so I will leave the rest to later. Rintrah 02:40, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ready? I don't know, I haven't checked it. If I have time, I will go through it; if I fail to do so, you can submit it if you think it is ready. I think I might have too much in common with the painting that used to be on your userpage now.
I like your old user name best, but this new one is good too. Rintrah 05:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the supportive message. I went through the article quickly just to satisfy myself there were no obvious oversights. The others can proofread it, now that you have listed on the League page. Copyediting it has been worth the effort, I think. Rintrah 10:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No clue!

[edit]

Well I have no clue why it is messing on ya, I have tinkered around with everything...It might have to do to the userboxes, but I don't know. Also don't expect your vandalism box to last long since mine got deleted earlier today. — Seadog 03:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name change

[edit]

I personally like the name Kyo cat...but I don't know what Kyo means :P so it is really up to you. I did request a name change once but was rejected :(. Good luck and thanks again for the B-star! — Seadog 21:53, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I too like Kyo cat, but if you like this one more, I'm fine with it. Also, shouldn't you have "¿Quieres hablar a mí?" in your signature insted of just the Qu.H. (abbreviated to save typing)? I don't know if the "mí" is correct, seeing how I have not yet learned how to say that in Spanish yet, but I did infer it from ho I thik "tí" is spelled and just transfered it over to first person. ¡Adíos! (I think tht's where the accent is...) —¡Randfan! 02:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: You Seriously Deserve This

[edit]

Thanks for the barnstar! I was hoping you wouldn't find the hidden message, but oh well! I like your signature as it is, really (nice color choices). I was just saying that it makes a little more sense with the added part. I would like to add more to this comment but I have to go to bed now, so I can't. I'll add it to my awards page tommorow. Thanks a ton! —¡Randfan! 03:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Its probably on her watchlist so it wouldn't have been that hard to spot :P, oh well...How do you like my new page Tohru and what does your new name mean. — SeadogTalk 04:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you like, oh now I see why you changed you name...probably to save confusion for those who do know about animie (did I spell that right?) As for me I have no clue about it :S. Also I forgot to tell you that today I reached 5,000 edits! — SeadogTalk 04:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I am so dumb for spelling that wrong. Thanks for the firework show!!! That is neat, glad you like the sig I just felt spring theme sig would be a good idea! — SeadogTalk 04:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Tohru Honda, I am having a sig lottery here. Basically I am trying to reach 100 sigs but I am also thinking of a number (and wrote it down) and whoever places in that spot gets something very, very special. Do you wanna try? — SeadogTalk 22:56, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why, but the bullets on your quotes page were causing your border to close. Makes no sense to me. I've removed the bullets, and your border came back.  The Transhumanist   09:06, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Damn 3RR...

[edit]

Konnichiwa, Tohru. I need your help for a second. An IP has been going around changing the ages of Sora (Kingdom Hearts), Riku (Kingdom Hearts), and Kairi (Kingdom Hearts). He has broken 3RR on all three pages and even I have broken it on Sora's page while reverting his pesky vandalism. To avoid violating 3RR again, it would be great if you could help me revert his edits. This will only be for a short time since I've reported him to AIAV. Thank you for your time! // Sasuke-kun27 00:08, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Sora and Kairi are 14 wile Riku is 15. Thank you for helping me revert his edits, but the user has been blocked so there is no need to worry any more. You may also take the pages off of your watchlist if you wish, but that is completely up to you. Well, sorry for any trouble I may have caused (when I said it would be for a short time, I wasnt kidding :). Happy editing! // Sasuke-kun27 00:56, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, I don't know why you aren't on my friends list, I'll add you tomorrow ASAP! Thanks for all your support during my times of difficulty, and may God (or whatever deity you worship) look over your family! Have a very merry Christmas and a great New Year, and may the new year bring the best for you!

Yay! At least you're fun :D Now here's Fredil's version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town!" (insert cheesy special effects here)

You better not shout, just don't go outside
Barricade the door, I'm tellin' you why
Santa Claus is gunning you down.

He's shooting you once, shooting you twice
Doesn't really matter if you're naughty or nice.
Santa Claus is gunning you down.

He shoots you when you're sleeping, he shoots if you're awake
He shoots if you've been bad or good
So run the hell a-way! (insert gunshot)

You better not shout, just don't go outside
Barricade the door, I'm tellin' you why
Santa Claus is gunning you down.

Fredil 03:39, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I recently seen in the edit history for the Sora (Kingdom Hearts) page that you reverted an age change for Sora. Is there any evidence to suggest he is 14? I don't know, I've played the games and I don't remember them specifically saying. If there was a source or something that would be helpful. Just for curiousity reasons and because I for one don't remember if it states it. If you could I would like to know where you found out Sora's age. Thank you!  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 04:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, I see that. It does not say where this information is from though. My friend told me that Sora is 15 in Kingdom Hearts 2, but I'm not sure where he got it from. I was just wondering if this was true or not since I stumbled upon the page and it isn't sourced in the article and I seen a recent revert. Anyways, thanks though.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 05:31, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the card with the Santa doggy. Should I give him (her) a cookie? Tessa, my doggle, always looks so cute in photos, despite her eagerness to run away and chase a ball. The photo on my userpage came about by compromise: you stand still for the photo, and I will throw your ball afterwards. I honoured our (tacit) agreement.
Can you translate the Spanish passage? I eagerly want to learn Spanish sometime — I am learning Latin now, and then I will move on to French, and perhaps Spanish next. Don Quixote does not seem to want to be read in English; it is clamouring for me to learn Spanish. Rintrah 07:02, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, don't worry about translating the Spanish passage; I worked it out once I realised I recognised every word. It is, by my translation, "Happy Christmas and Happy new year". Latin has some usefulness. Rintrah 07:10, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ahem... I guess you are right. I was so sleepy, so I was quite dim; it did not occur to me the message below translated the one above. But I got some sleep eventually. Now I am awake, but it is no longer christmas. Rintrah 22:01, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wait a minute... The top score a non-Jimbo person can get is about 25,000. Did you take the automated test or the manual? Maybe you accidentally pressed the "Are you Jimbo Wales (1000000)" question. Well, the good news is you're on the board. Something that most people don't realize about that test is that, although it's a complete waste of time, you're learning about all the things to do on wikipedia, and which are considered important tasks, which minor ones. I think it's good. :-) | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 10:32, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, now for adding your name. Click the edit button, and you'll see a long, complicated chart. You made #8, so former #8 is now #9, former #9 is now #10 ect., and you kick out #20, who is replaced by former #19. Make sure you copy the coding the others use to put their scores on the chart, and don't be afraid to click preview (you might make a mess if you forgot a simple "|-". Hi Swadhyayee, I think what you mean is the japanese userbox, actually it signifys that she is a level 2 speaker of the Japanese language. — Arjun 04:54, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you are Japanese so I wished you state so on your user page in English. And thanks for teaching me Japanese but I have no intention to go to Japan and hopefully will not need the words you taught me. (sorry no smiley with me). swadhyayee 05:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm after reading your responce on my friend Swadhyayee's page I noticed that you are interested in cultures and religion...So am I! If you ever want to know some deep info about Hinduism I suggest you ask about or read. — Arjun 05:14, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You will learn and best of luck.

[edit]

You will learn and best of luck in pursuing your goal. Hindus have probably hundreds of languages as their mother tongue. There is no language known as "Hindu". The language is known as "Hindi". It's language of North India but spoken almost everywhere in India except "Tamilnadu" where there are many who avoid speaking Hindi. Hindi is national language of India. swadhyayee 05:14, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Holidays!

I hope you have a good holiday and a good New Year!--SUIT

Sorry, I do not understand how do you have smileies?

[edit]

Sorry, I do not understand how do you have smileies at the bottom of your page? Are they live and usable by you? How they are hidden? You have locked them and prevented thieves like me from copy pasting on my page (smile, sorry no smiley tool with me). Can you help me in having some smileies on my page to use them while I place a message? swadhyayee 07:04, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

your message

I don't mind that you are an atheist, I already knew (I tend to read "all" of the users userboxes). And I definitely don't mind, this is just an example of how wikipedia is so diverse. Arjun 13:57, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm...

[edit]

I changed the "K" to "T" in User:Tohru Honda13/Esperanza. Hope you don't mind. –The Great Llamasign here 20:18, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mooseguy RfC

[edit]

Hey, thanks. I think I'll help you out with this RfC. Additionally, you and Chovain should certify the RfC (under "Users certifying the basis for this dispute") otherwise it won't be taken by the administrators. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 04:39, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
