WikiProject Ice Hockey August 2007 Newsletter

[edit]
WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter

Dear NeoChaosX! You are receiving this newsletter because you have signed up as a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey. The purpose of this newsletter is to update on the goings on of the project, as there have been major changes, and a lot of new recognized content in the past few weeks. If you are an inactive user, you probably won't recognize the new and improved state of the WikiProject!

From the project, Maxim.

New recognized content

By Maxim
There have been a lot more Good and Featured articles written in the past few weeks. Here is a list:[1][2][3][4]

Featured articles
Good articles
Featured lists[5]
Notes
  1. ^ All articles are in order of promotion, as written on the main WikiProject page; FA's have official dates of promotions.
  2. ^ A star represents a featured article or list
  3. ^ A green circle represents a good article
  4. ^ Stanley Cup is an A-Class article
  5. ^ The lists system differs from articles, and doesn't give an official date of promotion
Article Improvement

By Maxim

Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status.

Diacritics

By Maxim

In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt.

Task forces

By Maxim
There have been two new task forces started within the WikiProject to coordinate major topics.

Sweden Ice Hockey task force

This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES.

New Jersey Devils task force

This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock.

Requested Images

By Maxim
After discussion on the WikiProject talk page, Serte created a page for Requested Images. The page encourages users to license images for use on articles. The page also has section to request images for players, arenas, game situations, miscellaneous, and team and league logos. The page has been quite popular; since it was created on July 21, there have been six completed requests. There are four currently outstanding requests:

Article assessement completed

By Maxim
On July 12, Kaiser matias announced that he had completed assessing all the articles with a {{ice hockey}} tag, sorting them into Category:Unassessed Ice Hockey articles. Kaiser matias has ranked about 9000 articles in that category, and most were stubs, and "have no information at all", according to him. Everybody is encouraged to expand the stubs into real articles. This effort took around 5 months. A big thanks goes to Kaiser matias from me and all the project.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:San Jose State logo.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:San Jose State logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter

Dear NeoChaosX! You are receiving as you are a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey There's been more new thing going on at WP:HOCKEY, and I think this will help you to stay informed. Since the last newsletter sent out in August, there's been great changes. Read on to find out! Maxim(talk)

This just in:
Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy has just been promoted to featured list status, while the bot was delivering the newsletter. Maxim(talk) 02:02, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I've just promoted Art Ross Trophy. And Clarence S. Campbell Bowl is at FLC. This should be the last update. Maxim(talk) 00:40, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
New recognized content

By Maxim

Especially due to the featured topic drive, there have been many new featured lists promoted concerning NHL awards. Here's the full list of all the 13 FL's promoted since the last newsletter.[1][2]

  1. Hart Memorial Trophy
  2. James Norris Memorial Trophy
  3. Vezina Trophy
  4. Conn Smythe Trophy
  5. Frank J. Selke Trophy
  6. Lady Byng Memorial Trophy
  7. Lester B. Pearson Award
  8. Calder Memorial Trophy
  9. Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy
  10. King Clancy Memorial Trophy
  11. Jack Adams Award
  12. Presidents' Trophy
  13. List of Calgary Flames players

There have been no new good articles or featured articles. Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy has been given A-Class status due to multiple issues raised at FLC.

  1. ^ The last one, List of Calgary Flames players, is the only one not associated with the featured topic drive.
  2. ^ At the time of publishing, there were 5 lists at WP:FLC and 2 lists in the "Holding cell", as there's been an accepted guideline to not put more that 5 trophy lists at the same time to, "compensate for the sanity of the reviewers".
Did You Know?

By Maxim
There have been 4 new articles featured in the Did You Know section? on the Main Page since August.

Featured Topic Drive

By Maxim

Started by User:Scorpion0422, the aim of this drive is to make NHL awards a featured topic. A featured topic is basically a set of very high quality articles (good articles and featured articles/lists). In this case, the topic is NHL awards. Many users have helped, including Scorpion0422, Resolute, Serte, Hasek is the best, Maxim, Croat Canuck, Spike Wilbury, FutureNJGov, and T Rex/Dinosaur puppy. The progress has been very good; there are 12 featured lists promoted, and 2 good articles:

  1. Hart Memorial Trophy (Scorpion)
  2. James Norris Memorial Trophy (Scorpion)
  3. Vezina Trophy (Scorpion)
  4. Conn Smythe Trophy (Serte)
  5. Frank J. Selke Trophy (FutureNJGov)
  6. Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (Scorpion)
  7. Lester B. Pearson Award (Scorpion)
  8. Calder Memorial Trophy (Croat Canuck)
  9. Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (Maxim)
  10. King Clancy Memorial Trophy (Maxim)
  11. Jack Adams Award (Maxim)
  12. Presidents' Trophy (Scorpion)
  13. Stanley Cup (Earlier collaboration, very many involved)
  14. Traditions and anecdotes associated with the Stanley Cup (Maxim)

Check the project page if you are interested in helping out. Although it's closer to being done than not, there's still work to be done. The next topic that might be tackled is Stanley Cup, but this remains purely speculative and in discussion.

Claim for Halo 3 on Xbox page

[edit]

I noticed those stats were on the actual Halo 3 page on here, surely they must be right? If not then surely that information should be deleted from the Halo 3 page aswell? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Decky (talkcontribs) 11:07, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear NeoChaosX, I quite disagree. The main Naruto article does not mention such fascinating facts as that the first Naruto could already transform into a beautiful sexy young woman - but with a fox tail. Erudil 17:33, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Re Environment California"

[edit]

This article is not "PR", but I dont contend that additional information could not be helpful. I don't think erasing an entire body of work is constructive at all. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort- so if the article needs work or additional sources than it just has a note on top letting people know. Wikipedia states that the entire body of work does not have to be perfect for it to be posted. Also, many of those sources are acredited so you should not be discounting them so readily. Not only that, the stub you reverted to is in need of citations and work itself- so what is really being accomplished be erasing the article.```Jimmihoffa —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimmihoffa (talkcontribs) 22:22, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:HideoShimazu.gif.

Thank you. Unspecified source for Image:Rival_schools_poster.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rival_schools_poster.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:08, 22 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 12:08, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Rival schools poster.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rival schools poster.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 14:41, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kof-logo-enlarged.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kof-logo-enlarged.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CSD on an AfD

[edit]

FYI, the reason I was requesting a speedy delete of the Daniel Healy AfD was that the main article got speedied in the middle of my nom (with Twinkle). By the time Twinkle finished, the article was already gone. In doing so, I inadvertently recreated the article. So, I was just asking for the whole shebang to be dumped since it was already gone anyway. Gromlakh (talk) 23:23, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Final Fantasy VII (Famicom)

[edit]

Not to be a pest, but the article in question here has stated that it isn't a rom hack, and has a reference citing that (though the fellow that added the afd tag chose to additionally make a mess of the reference tags). To quote one of the references I used:

"When I say “not a hack,” I mean this game was not created by hacking and using the engine of another company. It is not simply a modification of Final Fantasy III, though it blatantly rips off music and graphics from that game and more. Cloud’s sprite is clearly stolen from the game’s fighter class, and Tifa’s is taken from Maria’s sprite in Final Fantasy II. The list goes on, and includes basically every enemy." - [1]

Said article also points out the cartridge is unique compared to other famicom carts.

As a result of the person painting the cart for something else and vandalising the reference tags, I'm calling shenanigans asking to at least have the afd motion be redone if need be, though I would like the chance to expand the article and do more research on it at the same time (been split a bit recently updating a few articles elsewhere). If this was some unnotable hack I didn't think I could bring anything else up about, I wouldn't bother mentioning it. Thanks for your time.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 02:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Featured Topic Drive

By Maxim

The original featured topic drive, initiated by Scorpion0422, has concluded succesfully. National Hockey League awards is now a featured topic, with 24 articles in total. Of them, 20 are featured lists, one is a featured article, and the other three are trophy articles that were too short to become featured lists. Eight users signed up to help out, shown here. The next Featured Topic hasn't been decided upon, and the ideas and organization for it fell apart. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to share them at WT:HOCKEY.

Notes
  • More editors are needed to help out with the newsletter. The newsletter creator doesn't have an infinite nor perfect supply of ideas, and thus he might omit some interesting news.
  • Portal:Ice hockey is being considered for featured status.
  • Should Chris Pronger have been suspended for more than eight games for stomping on Ryan Kesler? Vote here!

Please note that this task force is still unofficial, and I would like to have at least five members before asking for approval from WP:HOCKEY.

The cleanup of the article is, as you're probably well aware, going quite well - all the game guide stuff has been blitzkrieged, and the gameplay section is now written from an appropriate viewpoint and referenced to third-party sources, although it could gain from a thorough copyedit for clarity and cohesion. This leaves the development and cultural impact sections, and I'd really appreciate some help with finding references here - I've yet to find a decent usable review. Any information you could find regarding reviews, development information and the game's legacy would be extremely helpful. -- Sabre (talk) 16:35, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While I respect the consensus, there is plenty of new and unique information in the article to warrant its own page. I have posted a proposal to separate the page and I am currently awaiting it's outcome. Why not keep the page and you make a consensus to remove it instead? I realize there is already one, but not with the updated information that I currently have on there. Do you honestly believe that the information on the page isn't enough to have it's own page?

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sjsu logo color web.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sjsu logo color web.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Street Fighter IV source

[edit]

Thanks for reverting my edits. Much appreciated. That reference list stuff is something I'm still trying to work on.

But I don't know if the source there for the inclusion of Gen and Cammy is good enough. For one, I don't know if the fact that the link which is in the German language (?) suffices for what is the English version of Wikipedia. At the very least I think there should be something that automatically translates it. I think Google has an automatic website translator or something like that. However secondly, there is the problem that even when translated, it says the article is not found. It needs to be either fixed or changed because on my end there's nothing showing up when I click on the link. If you want I can try again to fix it, but I'd need to some help to get the reference list edit right. Vgamer101 (talk) 07:50, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tatsunoko vs Capcom "Crossover"

[edit]

Crossover is very much a part of genre gameplay since it's in relation to the core game concept itself. This is why other videogames like Marvel vs Capcom 2 and MK vs DC have it listed in their infobox. It's no different from someone listing a survival horror as psychological horror. Just because you think it doesn't quality as such doesn't mean it's not. So please stop removing it. Thanks.Beem2 (talk) 22:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC) You said "I" don't see it as a crossover. The game is a crossover therefor listing it's genre as crossover is no different from listing the genre's of a musician. We'll just have to agree to disagree then, in the meantime stop removing it please. Thanks.Beem2 (talk) 08:08, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My issue is not with the fact that Kotaku is cited, but that the article is nothing more that speculation about what content might come out based on what was cut during production. There's no confirmation that any such content will be released, and per the policy of the site not being a crystal ball to predict the future, it doesn't belong in the article. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 22:53, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
First off don't split discussions. Second, I understand your point except if its stated by the game maker then it is not crystal ball. If it is then you can go ahead and erase the costume sets too because they are "not official" yet I guess. I understand this page is your thing and You like patrolling it, but you are acting like you own it. There is no rule against adding info confirmed by the makers. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 23:10, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just because it is stated by the game maker doesn't make any less speculation. Remember he says if there's fan demand, they will be made available - but until then, we have no idea if it will happen or not. And the costumes are a completely different issue - they were finished and included in the final game, and the DLC for it has been confirmed and scheduled for release. No such information has been given for new character, so it doesn't belong in the article. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 23:23, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What you are saying is absurd. You're trying to defend your case, but it makes no sense. You said it yourself, he said "if there's fan demand, they will be made available." That is words from his mouth, so its not speculation. Its not saying they will be available, its saying he said they may be available if this happens. Thats not speculation or crystal ball, its fact, and theres no rules against that. Perhaps a straw poll in the discussion is in order. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 23:31, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Umm.......... Don't know if you forgot or your avoiding the discussion, but yeah... --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 23:31, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, just been busy with work. If you want to start a straw poll in the SFIV talk page, by all means go ahead. I'd like a little more discussion on the issue anyway. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 00:07, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 19:50, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thanks for reverting 202.134.6.36

[edit]

Thank you for the comments, both on reverting 202.134.6.36 and on my talk page. As you say, this user is an IP-hopping vandal who was working for most of this year. I also find this IP edit to be tiresome because he was deliberately adding incorrect information and I would be glad to help revert this IP edits and warn him. :) Once again, thank you. I appreciate your comment very much. All the best for this year, Sjones23 (talk) 18:40, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About this edit. Can you tell me if this date is for the arcade or Wii version? « ₣M₣ » 00:32, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

It's for the Wii version. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3169973 Why do you ask? NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 02:20, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[2] Now you know. I'm interested in this, but finding developmental information might be difficult. « ₣M₣ »

Out of curiosity, do you remember what "materials" [3] Capcom released stating its number seven? « ₣M₣ » 22:34, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

If I can find a source corroborating that statement, I will present it. However, the only thing I can remember is Capcom promotional materials promoting it as the continuation of the Marvel vs. Capcom series, but I can't recall Capcom specifically numerating which installment it was (Seventh game would indicate that it includes the Capcom vs. SNK games, which have generally been considered as their own series, not combined with the Marvel vs. games). NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 00:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. It doesn't seem to be too much of an issue, if you cannot find it. Its just something that bugged me since I want to collect as much information as possible. Regards, « ₣M₣ » 15:59, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism

[edit]

Phew, that was quick. You beat me to WP:AIV with the report on 202.155.92.10. Persistent isn't s/he? Regards Davidelit (Talk) 07:23, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed he/she is. I've been keeping a track of this person for over a year now; they're an Indonesian user who constantly vandalizes anime, game and movie studio articles with misinformation. He's IP jumped so many times that I don't think he'll ever be stopped. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 07:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is a problem. 202.70.61.148 is another of the IPs. Well, let's see what happens. I'll wait to see if s/he is blocked before reverting again. Davidelit (Talk) 07:45, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ditto. That guy's persistent, I know (and annoying as well). I've also encountered this guy numerous times, and I was the one who first reported him on WP:AN/I (this is the report as archived). The guy also operated on the following ranges: 202.70.61.133, 202.70.61.146, 114.59.100.70, and the 118.137.x.x range (which I know you're aware already), as well as many others that I can't mention here as of this moment, all in Indonesia. It seems no amount of warning, not even in Indonesian, stopped him. I've already told everything about this guy to Nja247, so Nja247 has oftentimes become my go-to admin whenever the vandal strikes or has striken within the last few minutes/hours of his last attack. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 11:07, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if it would be possible to request multiple, long-term range blocks on the offending ranges. I know I requested such a thing from admin User:Nihonjoe a while back, and he blocked several offending ranges for 6 months, during which vandalism from this user was relatively quiet (as far as I could tell, anyway) as a result. Maybe a similar set of range blocks (hopefully for a year or longer) could deter this user. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 16:17, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good point, but the more admins to be involved in helping against the vandal (aside from Nihonjoe and Nja247), the better. Too bad Ryulong is no longer an admin because of the ruckus he was involved in a few months ago; he always helps me out on several vandals. But I never told him about this vandal though until the vandal showed up on 202.70.61.146.
Since the 202.70.61.x range will be automatically unblocked a few minutes from now (MuZemike did the block on 202.70.61.128/27 a week ago as an immediate action to my report on the vandal), I'm sure the vandal will show up on that range once again. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:27, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P. S.: I've already told Nja247 about 202.155.92.10, BTW. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:34, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Capcom-fighting-as-screen.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Capcom-fighting-as-screen.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:57, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of posts

Why did you delete my post regarding reception of poor online multiplayer gaming on Street fighter IV?

220.255.178.29 (talk) 10:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because you didn't supply references for the criticisms you listed. Per the sites' verifiability policy, any information that can be challenged has to be backed up by a reliable source that is cited in writing. If there is no source supplied, the material added can be removed. Find some reliable sources to cite on the issues you brought up, and what you wrote can stand. Main Page appearance: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

[edit]

This is a note to let the main editors of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on January 23, 2014. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask Bencherlite (talk · contribs). You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 23, 2014. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is a crossover fighting game game featuring characters from Capcom's video game franchises and from various anime series by Tatsunoko Production. The game was released in Japan for arcades and the Wii video game console in December 2008. It was released for the Wii in North America, Japan, and Europe in January 2010, featuring additional characters and an online mode. Players engage in combat with a team of two characters or with a single giant character and attempt to knock out their opponents. It is the seventh Capcom-designed installment in their Vs. fighting game series, which includes the Marvel vs. Capcom and Capcom vs. SNK series, and the first to be fully rendered in 3D graphics. The game is designed around a simplified three-button attack system, which was inspired by the simplistic control schemes commonly used by both the Vs. series and the Wii. The game received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its approachable gameplay for newcomers and depth for veteran players. However, reviewers had mixed experiences with its online component, and found Arcade mode lacking in replay value. (Full article...)

Capcom Cup links.

[edit]

Hello NeoChaosX,

I was looking through the history, and I found out that links were added for a reason. Prisencolin added the links on purpose. The first one I noticed was one for EVO 2012/2015 runner-up Bruce "GamerBee" Hsiang (which was brought to life). I think Prisencolin was planning on developing pages for PR Balrog, Ricki Ortiz, NuckleDu, Snake Eyez, Nemo, Tokido, Poongko, Luffy, and Misse. Kazunoko and Xian, two world champions were brought to life as well. I know you may have not known what Prisencolin was doing but I asked if he was doing pages for GamerBee and all of the linked players he threw in. He stated that he had GamerBee in development, I don't know about the others. Just a heads-up. UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 19:44, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shoot, now I feel bad for that. Though I think the Manual of Style recommends the page exists before you link it - redlinks are a bad look. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 06:58, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
