WHIO-TV

[edit]

Hi Tlonca!

I'm curious about your edit to WHIO-TV (and other articles). Why does the standard seem to be that "Channel XX digital TV stations in the United States" Category is included, but not a Category for the station's historic/analog/virtual channel number? Wouldn't most of the general Wikipedia-using public find that helpful as well?

Thanks! --Chaswmsday (talk) 11:35, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

more houston articles for you to edit

[edit]

can you add the missing virtual channel categories from these stations

KHOU, KIAH, KTBU, KCVH-LD, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.237.162 (talk) 01:38, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find KCVH's virtual channel Tlonca (talk)

You can accept KCVH's virtual channel number as 30 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.62.108 (talk) 02:25, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

any more houston articles not edited, KPRC, KUHT, etc — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.62.108 (talk) 02:27, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If the digital channel is 30, then I don't believe there is a virtual channel. An example would be, WJAC's virtual channel is 6, but its digital channel is 34. WTOV's digital channel is 9, there is no virtual channel, so a virtual channel would not be listed. Tlonca (talk) 22:38, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for WHSG, can you edit KPRC, KVVV-TV, and KRIV

Please stop removing previous sections of my talk page. I will keep undoing the edits. Tlonca (talk)

I saw you edit KRIV, and KPRC was already done

now for KVVV-TV — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.45.123 (talk) 04:30, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure which category it belongs in since it is no longer on the air. I couldn't locate any records on the FCC's website either. Tlonca (talk) 16:01, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:WJAC-former-logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WJAC-former-logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Television Syndicated Shows

[edit]

Will you please stop reverting the removal of television syndicated shows on TV stations? It is reveleant. If they want to know what channel will a city find Wheel of Fortune, they can go on the TV Guide. Wikipedia is not a TV Guide. ACMEWikiNet (talk) 22:26, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since ACMEWikiNet hasn't bothered to mention it, I guess it's my job to warn you that he's brought you up at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad tidings; a quick glance over the relevant edits leaves me inclined against ACMEWikiNet. Nyttend (talk) 04:07, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded on Homer's page and reverted the edits and warned AWN accordingly until we come to a resolution; they took Spshu's final response as gospel and interpreted removal was OK as they said "per TVS", when that certainly wasn't the case and the discussion is still open. I plan to start one or more articles on banks by this name (assuming I can get past the notablility barrier), and while researching, I discovered that not all banks called "F&M" are "Farmers and Merchants". I was wondering how to best explain on the disambiguation page that I am sending the reader to yet another disambiguation page.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:26, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't work with disambiguation pages too often so I'm probably not the best person to ask. Tlonca (talk) 04:20, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
