ArbCom 2017 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Thomas Kirk Larsen. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Changing oneself's signature
[edit]Hi, I had already wondered, but I thought that this was intentional. On a talk page, I have now seen that you wondered, too, why your name is currently being displayed as "mrloop". To change this text, and to replace it with (nearly!) whatever you like, you can open your Preferences. A bit hidden, when you scroll down on the first preferences page, you'll see the field currently containing the text "mrloop". I personally am using "~ ToBeFree" there, because I like the "~" tilde character in front of my signature. Some people create colorful, green, red, blue signatures; if you would like to have such a colorful signature, too, please have a look at these two pages: WP:CUSTOMSIG WP:SIGTUT ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:26, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Best way to deal with someone publishing any of your information
[edit]If I understand correctly, in the past, there has been someone harassing you by publishing something personal. While administrators usually deal quickly with this issue, here is how you can explicitly request help yourself, whenever such an incident happens: WP:RFO Hope this helps! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:29, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018 UK Seniors Championship, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hull (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Luo Honghao, snooker player.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Luo Honghao, snooker player.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 14:26, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- This image is from a commercial image agency (Geyy Images), ads well as being replaceable as the subject is a living person. == Whpq (talk) 14:27, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:01, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
November 2018
[edit]This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Century break, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Betty Logan (talk) 18:14, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
I'm not vandalizing anything, you idiot. You feeling some kind of ownership, and your failure to recognize dead links, is not about me vandalizing anything. ~ Thomas Kirk Larsen (talk) 20:08, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
@Betty Logan and Thomas Kirk Larsen: I agree it is not vandalism. However, for dead references, it's not appropriate to just remove them. Guidance on the steps to take can be found at WP:DEADREF. - Whpq (talk) 23:09, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Ladbrokes Tour Championship snooker logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ladbrokes Tour Championship snooker logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:46, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2019 election voter message
[edit]Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
[edit]Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
