Sigs
This was an inappropriate edit. Cutting disruptive sigs back to a bare form is certainly appropriate; see example, below ;) *Your* sig is pretty borderline, so you should watch it.
Nice user page; I should know, I wrote the framework you're using to build it.
—Sincerely, Street-Legal Sockpuppet Jack Merridew 16:34, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see how you can call my signature disruptive at all (especially since I've had an admin's approval for it), never minding that monstrosity. Maybe you can do what SatuSuro didn't and explain why it is borderline disruptive. Also, exactly how is 7101's signature disruptive (barring the constant changes)? Point out a policy that says you can alter another user's signature at will (outside of your own talk page, anyway, which I will accept). If you can find one that I'm unaware of (or simply missed the section by mistake), then I apologise. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:43, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- See WP:SIG; it says things about it being inappropriate to use a sig to draw disproportionate attention to one's posts by using a meretricious sig. I didn't refer to your sig as disruptive, although it is in the sense that you're injecting poor code into every page you sign; you're using the font-element which is a deprecated bit of markup. You're also cluttering-up the edit box with unnecessary snot. The faux-sig I used above is a one-off; used only occasionally. Some admin 'approved' your sig? So what; that's just one person's opinion. Most anyone who plays-meek here can get an admin bit; it's not a fucking cop's badge. Some admins are very serious people and their opinions should be listened to, and some just gamed the system. As to reformatting the sigs of others, it is regularly done where there is a need. 7107 is plainly headed for trouble if he doesn't start to listen; I suggest you not hitch your wagon to his. Regards, Jack Merridew 17:10, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Regarding you not calling my sig disruptive, I was talking about this: "*Your* sig is pretty borderline..." Combined with the sentence about cutting back disruptive signatures, I assumed that you were also claiming mine was disruptive. My apologies if that wasn't so. If you can think of a way to make the signature neater without changing its output, then please show me. As for the admin, it was xeno who I would hardly describe as "gaming the system" (and, in my experience, almost all admins aren't). If there was an issue with it (and I did raise some colour and coding queries with him), he'd have said something. Sorry for taking so long to reply. My computer's virtual memory is going completely batty right now and lagging/crashing/closing windows randomly (this would also be longer, but I don't want to risk the window closing again in the middle of it). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:55, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Merry Christmas
Dear Thejadefalcon,
Wishing you, your family, and friends a very merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate at this time of year), and I hope that the new year will be a good one, in real life, and on the wiki. There is always a reason to spread the holiday spirit; it's a special time of year of almost everyone. ;)
Love and best wishes, Meaghan - Merry Christmas! - 00:23, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Malicious Edits from Unregistered Users: Please Advise
JF, I'm trying to help my little sister edit a wiki page that she insists contains not just false but purposefully misleading information. She provided me with references, and what she showed me looked legitimate. The problem is my edits are continually being undone by an unregistered user who I suspect is a spammer (I also was editing w/o being logged in until my very last edit). I've gone through some of guides on how to report malicious edits, but so far haven't found anything that seems particularly helpful (I admit I didn't look very far. It is Christmas Eve after all). I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction in terms of how to resolve this. It may not be your cup of tea, but the page in question is Tamaskan Dog. My sister's a bit of an animal rights activist and thinks someone is trying to use the page to promote a puppy mill. Let me know if you would like any more info. Thank you, Rhikter (talk) 23:25, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm looking through it now as best I can (though, as you say, it is Christmas). Can you provide me with a diff of your preferred version and I'll go through the diffs? Also, which IP address are you (just so I can be sure)? To report an edit war, please go here. Remember to read the instructions carefully. If you wish, you can also request full protection of the article here to prevent editing to the page to allow discussion. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 23:37, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, and take your time. I'm in no rush to resolve this. Christmas! I believe the ip of the computer I was using is 67.142.168.148. My sister was editing it herself at first (and not very well from what I understand) then I came in and made sure she had references and that they were cited. This Tamaskan stuff is really not my thing. I'm basically just being used to make sure her edits look nice and are acceptable. Not to say I'm very good at it though. ; ) Rhikter (talk) 04:47, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Merry Christmas!!
Once again it is festive season, a time where festive decorations are displayed and gifts are swapped; but what about the true meaning of christmas? The true meaning of christmas is about the fight for freedom and how in times of hardship and misery, one person leads their people to freedom as a great warrior; for those who fight for a cause are warriors and those who fight for a worthy cause are great warriors. Such an act earns respect and honour; but most importantly, brings happiness to their people. So to achieve this as happiness lies in other people's happiness and greatness lies in how you deal with little people, we selflessly think of others in the hope that they will be happy this christmas.
Hi Thejadefalcon, have a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year 2010!

- Maybe so, but he cannot ban me from his talk page. Alternatively, he could reread WP:CIVIL and learn how not to call a person a troll (how is telling him not to attack other editor trolling?). I've now stopped assuming good faith with him, to be honest, and am considering bringing him on Wikiquette alerts due to repeated incivility and discourtesy towards a group of editors. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:18, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) Second sentence in. Also, I don't believe I am blowing this out of proportion. He has been repeatedly incivil to, taking two names from the hat, December21st2012Freak and Coldplay Expert and is now being incivil to me after I did something as horrifying as ask a very reasonable question regarding this garbage and now again when I told him, my temper fraying slightly, to stop attacking Coldplay Expert over a simple thing such as typos. If you know of another way to get him to try to get him to sit down, shut up and stop insulting others, then I will drop the WQA, because I don't particularly want to get involved on one myself (and only partially because the last one I ended up in, where I was only a neutral party, ended messily). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:27, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

← Juliancolton has now removed the entire thread at iMatthew's request. While I am perfectly fine with that, I am concerned about the fact that, without that in his talk page archives, he can potentially claim he was never incivil or something and it would take some serious digging in the revision history to prove otherwise (I think I'm phrasing my concern badly, but I believe that it may be a legitimate concern). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:24, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Help
I have been quite concerned with corporate PR techniques for some time now and have shifted my focus at least for the moment to PR in Wikipedia. A company I used to work for hired hundreds of high school aged kids to edit Wikipedia for them (they also wrote Amazon reviews, linked to the product on MSG boards etc.), and I was fired recently for refusing to lie about a product in particular. While we need not mention specific details regarding that case, I was hoping we could begin to make the Wikipedia community aware of the situation, and perhaps eventually change Wikipolicies regarding "reception" sections of games and movies, among other things. Take a look at my Call of Duty MW2 or Prototype Talk Page insertions if you could please. I have seen you around in the game fields when I as writing PR fluff on Wikipedia, and I remember your name well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.214.123.146 (talk) 01:22, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello my bird friend,
I hope you're having a wonderful holiday. All's okay at our end of the planet. Write back when you can. Also, how do you put colors in your name? I want to add colors to mine. :) Malke 2010 (talk) 19:02, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- My coding is long and complex, but the general thing is this: <font color="#009000">[[User:Thejadefalcon|Thejadefalcon]]</font> To find possible colours to use, go here. There's a lot of them, so unless you know exactly what you want, you may be stuck for a while. However, I'd experiment with them first before you save it as your signature. Here, use my sandbox to experiment, where you can see the many attempts to get my signature to be a) nice to look at in my view and b) still readable by everyone else. Also, do you have this page on your watchlist? I don't want to keep bothering you with needless talkback messages. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:10, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

- First of all, this is where you need to post to discuss stuff with me. Secondly, my apologies. I got a bit caught up, thought I'd made a comment to your talk page, but obviously not. I removed them because, honestly, they didn't make all that much sense to me. I can't really see why it matters what the title of the film is in Hungarian. It just doesn't seem all that important to me. Another thing is that your section title, "Interesting information," is synonymous with "trivia" which Wikipedia does not allow. However, if you think it is, you're welcome to raise the point on the talk page (preferably this one) and see what other editors have to say about it. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:56, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I didnt know that I can contact you here. I am new to Wikipedia. Well I added this information cause it is unique and as a fan for the film for me it is interesting and this is quite common amongst movie fans to search for these kind of information. For the section title I apologize I didn't know. However I think changing the section title would have been enough since this is still an interesting thing about the movie to share and it is not new to wikipedia. Just search for it and you will see that other movies also have information of these kind. But anyway i dont see what is senseless in this. - To my knowledge, titles of films in different languages are only given if they were made or first shown in that country. Also, Alien's Hungarian title is "The eight passanger the death"? Really? That just sounds like an online translator did that one and that is rarely accurate enough to rely on. I'm not trying to drive you away from Wikipedia, I just don't think the Hungarian titles are relevant. As I said, if you would like, go here and ask for some consensus from other editors. If they agree with me, then it stays off. If they think it's notable, then I'm more than happen to accept that. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:14, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- I will do it but the fact that you dont believe that the Hungarian title is really The eighth passanger the death in hungarian then look for it here on Wikipedia. Go to the Engilsh Alien page and select the language magyar (in engilsh: Hungarian) and you will see the title is A nyolcadik utas a halál... which means The eighth passanger is the death... Red Star
Red Star Congratulations, Thejadefalcon! It's my pleasure to award you December 21, 2009's Red Star for being hard working, kind to others, and for being an excellent user in general. A record of this award will always be kept at User:Meaghan/Shining Stars. Enjoy! Meaghan - Merry Christmas! - 14:16, 21 December 2009 (UTC) You could also receive the next higher up award, the Orange Star! |

- I just made it clear there is no comparison between the two stars, and that is the issue. In America, they create a red star like some silly rabbit from a hat, hand it out to anybody with a heartbeat, and have no respect for the real red star. It is an insult to Russia and all it stands for.

- ... this is really getting pathetic, to be honest. How the hell is it insulting Russia? I love Russia. They bring us vodka and starring roles in marvellous games (and that one was Soviet Russia, too). They have wonderful accents and they're generally just fantastic people to know. I'm sure there's something out there that is like a Purple Heart, but the Americans aren't complaining about it (actually, I just remembered: there is. I myself have, off Wikipedia, of course, recieved the Purple Spork, "for bravery above and beyond the call of duty when sporking (mocking) bad fanfiction"). But look to the right. Do you see the difference? One is a medal, the other is a large ball of fire in the sky. I earned the latter, not the former. This is an award for "being hard working, kind to others, and for being an excellent user in general" not for "exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union in both war and peace." Russia hasn't even handed the damn thing out for eighteen years. Also, I am English (shush, I know the character is technically French). Meaghan is Canadian. Neither of us are American. I think it is in fact you who is showing no respect to anyone. You also have no sense of humour. Do you know what the English do when people mock us? We keep a stiff upper lip and have another mug of tea. I also wish to point out that this isn't mocking Russia at all. It is part of an award program called "Shining Stars" which has, as the name should have implied, awards based on stars. There is the Red Star (which, by the way, happens to be the lowest award), there is the Orange Star, there is the Yellow Star and, finally, there is the Blue Star. This is not an insult to Russia. You are seeing things where they do not exist. If you want to complain, take it up with the original creator of the award. I think she would appreciate it if you could keep your misguided patriotism at the door though. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:18, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Being a Russian (And German and Italian) myself. I have nothig but contempt for the reds who kicked my ancestors out of their home nation. - Russians bring us Vodka??? What a stereotype! No small wonder that true Russians are disgusted with most Wikipedia editors, who either embrace brain dead stereotypes about Russians and vodka or belong to the underclass of unwashed Soviet outcasts, then presume to understand Russian music or culture. They prove time and time again that they know nothing. Who gives them the right to imagine they know what matters in Russian culture? I know silly rabbits with more intellectual understanding of Russian arts and culture.

- (facepalm) ... Just... (facepalm) Christ, man, read the article! Vodka is believed to have originated in Russia. It also comprises seventy percent of all alcohol drunk there. Did you even read my post? I mocked England, my home country, about our tea drinking habits, which is exactly the same stereotype. We laugh it off. Some Irish people I once knew were perfectly happy to have a chuckle at their own drinking stereotypes (Guinness, say). It's not as if I insulted your heritage, is it? All countries poke fun at each other and most of it is harmless. What part of me poking fun at my own didn't you get? Grow a thicker skin before you leave the safety of your LAN. Maybe have a little tipple of vodka to get into the... spirit of things? (I'm going to hell for that one ^.^) --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:02, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- All I know is that you seem to be a silly man. Then you bring that ridiculous Coldplay expert into this diseased game and that is ultimate joke. Is he supposed to be the resident Wikipedia music expert? I mean, what kind of mindless fool imagines there is a molecule of talent to singing a song about "Jello" like some castrated schoolboy? Have you heard how they play guitar? Chugga-chugga-chugga, it is alternative no-talent trash of the worst kind! I don't care how the brainwashed masses are deluded and deceived into thinking Coldplay is quality music when so obviously it comes from the sewer, except that is an insult to the sewer. Those who attack Soviet Russia attack a nation that created the greatest music known to mankind and the new "democracy" of gangsters only destroyed whatever quality once existed. Do not compare Coldplay to great art, please, do not be sillier than you already are, because Coldplay is an example of everything that is wrong with music today. My dog knows more about music than Coldplay, sings better than Coldplay, and he did not go to a school of castrated schoolboys to learn that much.

edit war reporting
how do I report someone for edit warring and uncivil comments? Thanks Malke2010 21:12, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Depends on what it is. Give me a few diffs, please? However, edit warring would usually go to Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring (AN3). However, for a very controversial article, it would likely go to Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents (AN/I) too from what I've seen. Personal attacks are more complex. If it's severe and constant and the user has been warned, it'd be Administrator intervention against vandalism (AIV). If it's just a long-running dispute between users, try Wikiquette alerts (WQA). If it's on an article on a living person, try Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard (BLP/N) too, though I've never been there, so read the instructions for that one very carefully just in case I'm wrong. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Aaron Russo
Admittedly I didn't cite the source, but I did state the facts about the subject matter. It is verifiable so I cannot see why you edited my Aaron Russo piece save some bias policy of wikipedia. People deserve better, to know the truth, not one-sided opinion. This is what happened: It is widely speculated that Aaron Russo did not die of cancer but was assassinated after a radio interview where he was said to have spilt the beans - so to speak - about exposing the Rockerfeller family and their involvement in instigating 9-11. The radio interview survives to this day on many a conspiracy theorists computer and proves beyond doubt the fact that the most powerful families in America, in the world, had vested interests in the atrocities. The main motive being to introduce the terror legislation that stripped people of their rights. It ties in with the Phil Schneider and Bill Cooper murders. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anglyn (talk • contribs)
- What is it with my editor review attracting talk page comments? Is it magnetic or something? This is where you need to post. Secondly, I don't know who the guy is, I don't care. I saw something that looked like a conspiracy theorist's ranting (and still does), so I reverted it. If it's verifiable, give a reference. That's all that's needed. Also, I suggest you need to read this. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 23:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

broke the page
Hey there Bird, what does broke the page mean? Did I do it? If I did, that's hilarious. I must hire someone to type for me.Malke2010 19:13, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. Abce2 did it. :) They used a reference (<ref>)tag with no nowiki tags (<nowiki>) and it killed the rest of the page. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:20, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

- You need to download Huggle (and you need rollback rights for that one), but Twinkle is easy to install. Go to "My Preferences," "Gadgets," click the tick for Twinkle and save the page. And you're done. Read the manual if you want (I learned through trial and error and ended up nominating my own talk page for speedy deletion as "blatant nonsense" and undid with "oops" as my edit summary (only to do the same thing again ten minutes later)). If you have any questions, ask me. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:49, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

- When you look at any diff that is the most recent, say, this one, you'll see three buttons. A green "rollback (AGF)," a blue "rollback" and a red "rollback (VANDAL)". These will all remove all consecutive edits by that user to the last revision by another user. The difference is how you are responding to it. The first assumes it's a newbie who isn't too sure about how to edit properly, the second is just generally reverting and the third is removing a vandal. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:46, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Semi-Protect
Hello Thejadefalcon, I was wondering how you semi-protect a talk page, or any other page for that matter, I don't want non-users to wreak havoc on Wikipedia. Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but have a happy new year! Congrats on getting that Red Star too! It seems like a huge achievement!--Micro101 (talk) 13:06, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) You have to be an administrator to protect a page yourself, but if you aren't one you can still request a page be protected at WP:RPP, Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 13:09, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Spongefrog, you failed to mention one thing. Talk pages are never protected unless under exceptional circumstances. Talk pages are an IPs only connection to other editors. If we take it away, they can't communicate with others and ask opinions on how to best improve an article. Anyway, the easiest way is to probably a) familiarise yourself with the protection policy and then b) install Wikipedia:Twinkle (go to "My Preferences," "Gadgets," click Twinkle's box and save). Then, go to the page you want to protect, look at the top of the screen along the tabs ("edit this page" et cetera) and cick "rpp". Select to type of protection, the length of protection required (generally "temporary") and an explanation for your request. It sounds difficult, but it's pretty easy when you're used to it. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:15, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Honestly, I'm not too sure how comfortable I feel giving them out. However, I'll probably try to do my best. And my talk page stalking is random. I do it to a couple of hundred of people, just helping them out when weirdos like that guy show up. :P --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:21, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

How was your Christmas?
Hello, Thejadefalcon how was your Christmas? Mine was ok, though I got all I wanted! We had a green and wet Christmas. The wet? It was raining. I live in Wisconsin and that doesn't happen very often in my neck of the woods. :) --Micro 101 (talk) 18:56, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

- A barnstar is an award you give to another user who you think has done something particularly special. It can be a particular edit, or recognition of that user's work in general. The Barnstars page is located at WP:STAR. But be careful not to get WP:Barnstaritis - it can be fatal, Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 15:53, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer. It looks like Barnstaritis is worse than Swine Flu. - Generally, I find it best not to archive by months (especially if the month isn't technically over with). If you do that, there may be an outstanding issue that you archive and it may look like you're trying to ignore it. In my opinion, it's best to simply have an archive bot deal with it. That way, you don't have to do a thing and it will give enough time (in my case, five days right now, though it used to be ten) for others to respond if they feel they need to. I can help you set MiszaBot up if you'd like. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:40, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Did anyone invited you to intervene in matters (unless you like poking your nose in when it has nothing to do with you?) My discussion with Julian Colton concerns a matter between us but I cannot say I am surprised--the more I see here the more I laugh to be honest.
"Keep the discussion on the contribution and not on the contributor." Great Logic Falcoon--a bit like going in to an eating establishment, ordering dinner and then saying, "this has nothing to do with the place I'm sitting in."
I certainly do NOT need help in citing rules from anyone lacking citations in background evidence of any kind to even suggest or support being qualified for doing the work I see here (unless it is a huge expanse of 10 whole months on the job.
Personal attack?? I gave my opinion and stated what I believe to be fact; which seems more rooted in reality than a world inhabited by fake intellectuals and pie in the sky dreamers devoid of any real credentials in a 3 dimensional world.....abdulfez 19:19, 1 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abdulfez (talk • contribs)

Barnstars and gratitude for answering questions helpfully, saving time for the person they were asked to and removing trolls and vandals. So I see no reason to stop it just because you think I should. Juliancolton was not happy with what you said and neither was I so I decided to warn you for accusing him of... well, gibberish. Besides, it is your analogy that does not make any logic. A contributor is entirely different to their contributions. Say an editor did not like one user's contribution and called them a "faggot." That has everything to do with the contributor, nothing on the contribution. Other than that, I have no clue what you were gibbering about. Ten months on what job? Fake intellectuals? What are you talking about? Your words on their own are English, but put into a sentence they make no sense. Please come back making sense. Also, spelling my name correctly goes a long way towards me listening to what you have to say. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:33, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Micro101 here, I just figured something (mathematically) out! Its that all (or at least most) of Wikipedia users and linked together! How could this be? Well lets say I know 10 users, and you know at least 15. Those users know more users, and it adds on! It branches out to possibly all of Wikipedia! I tried clicking on unknown users on your page and then clicking on other users names on talk pages, then after about 10 minutes I found myself in a talk page of someone in Israel! Why did you move "List of characters in to Dragon Age universe" to Characters of Dragon Age? I based the page name on [[List of characters in the Mass Effect universe. More importantly, why on earth did you then list it as Start class rather than list class? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 23:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- I based it off all of the GA and FA character lists (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and I rated it as an article versus a list, as lists normally do just that, only list things, rather than expand on them, as character lists normally do. I think List of characters in the Mass Effect universe should also be changed, unless there has been a discussion as to why not, or I am completely wrong in this entire situation. Anyway, who said today was my birthday? ;) For all you know, it could be a trick designed to fool people into thinking that it's my birthday. There's no proof one way or the other. I could say "January the fourth is my real birthday" but it might be October the 12th. They check your computers fingerprint, list all avalible information by it then corrospond it with anyone with your Birth date, thus giving them your name and address and shoe size; then they simply have two or three people left so they kill all three of you. Why did you just delete half of the template? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 23:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- Half the template was for nonexistent article. No point then, add in links when articles are made. 164.107.236.201 (talk) 23:42, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hence why they were hidden. The thing is, those articles may all feasiably exist one day. Maybe if someone sees them hidden on the template, they'll think "Hmm... maybe I should start that one." Removing Dragon Age: The Calling though was the thing that really made me confused, given that the book is already out. That makes a page all but inevitable some day, probably soon. Not even a week ago, the character list was hidden away, but it got created, so I brought it out into open view. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 00:02, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Diffs please
On ANI, you asked for diffs (23:34 6 January), which is a good answer. Yet, the thread was closed. This seems a bit rude. I am against rudeness and have complimented Jimbo Wales for his editorial in a national newspaper about internet rudeness. Are you also opposed to rudeness in general? Suomi Finland 2009 (talk) 16:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- O.o Err... Check the timestamps again. The original poster made their comment at 23:32 on the sixth. My request for diffs was at 23:34. Throwaway85 suggested that AN/I wasn't the correct venue for the thread at 23:37. Then NuclearWarfare closed the thread at 00:29 on the 7th. As for your question, it depends on a case-by-case basis. What I define as rude, others may not and vice-versa. My life has turned me into a sarcastic, fairly cynical git (though I'm working it out). So sarcasm generally isn't considered rude by me (though it depends on what someone is being sarcastic about). However, as a general statement with no specifics of what is and isn't classified as rude, I am opposed to rudeness on the internet and in real life. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:34, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, wait, hold on. Just re-read your question from a different perspective and it potentially makes a lot more sense. I originally thought you were accusing me of being rude from misreading the timestamps. Were you actually saying the closing of the thread was rude? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:39, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- You didn't do anything wrong. In fact, you were the responsive person. A person, maybe a quack, maybe not complained. You asked for diffs. The burden of proof then rests on the person making the complaint. If the diffs are quackish, then closing the complaint is ok. As of now, the complainer probably thinks that Wikipedia is rude, just what Jimbo Wales asks us to avoid. Your response might have taken 10 seconds to write so it's not a burden to be responsive. Anyway, the case is closed from my perspective as I'm not going to try to reopen it. Suomi Finland 2009 (talk) 19:51, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, I can see what you mean. I presume that the IP is similar to a disruptive one somewhere involving that user. I suppose you can ask NuclearWarfare if you wish. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 22:59, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Wikipedia:UAA
Heya, just thought I would drop you a note that your rationale for rejecting one of the reported usernames is a bit off, as the users talk page shows they indeed seem to have a conflict of interest, and their username is the same as the companies name which is generally frowned upon. Relevant pages are: User_talk:Windamir, Windamir Development & Construction. Hope this helps, better to go slow on reports and avoid mistakes than to focus on a high contribution rate, as mistakes might come up at an RfA. Happy new year, I hope 2010 is good for you. --Taelus (talk) 19:38, 7 January 2010 (UTC) Struck part of comment, as re-reading it it sounds a bit critical, and that was not my intention at all. --Taelus (talk) 22:01, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but it doesn't sound like blatant advertising, which is what UAA is designed to combat. Yes, the username is a problem, otherwise I would have marked with {{uaa|nb}}, not {{uaa|spam}} or {{uaa|coi}} or whichever is relevant (in this case, the former). As I said, compare to other usernames. Try SellYourDesignOnline, which is blatant advertising, or Codywaldronisawhore, which is a blatant personal attack. Most people would never even think of connecting Windamir to advertising (I wouldn't, if I hadn't being told they were), just like most people would never link me with a (probably little known) security company in Arizona. I'm only aware of that because it got brought up after I used my name as an example in a discussion about company names here. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed, and I wouldn't endorse action against names on this sort of "GOTCHA" mentality, however the user is contributing advertisement for the company, using a company name. However, looking at it again, and looking at how other reports similar to this at UAA have been handled, the line seems quite thin. I withdraw my comments then, feel free to remove/archive this as you wish. I will not pretend I am experienced in UAA, maybe I should look into it a bit more. Thanks, --Taelus (talk) 21:55, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, looking at it again I think this is borderline. Policy states: Explicit use of a name or url of a company, group or product as a username is not permitted. Your username should represent you.
- In this scenario, the username is not representing the user, as they are advertising the company used in their name. But, it is not explicitly a company name if you take the context provided by their contributions away, so perhaps COI or SPAM noticeboards are the best way to deal with this. I suppose it could be viewed as going either way. Hope this helps, --Taelus (talk) 21:59, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, Taelus. I won't remove this. If I didn't accept criticism of my actions, I'd be a fairly worthless editor, wouldn't I (and you didn't have to strike your comment. It's true and I'd be an even more worthless admin if I didn't accept criticism)? I'll keep an eye on it to see how things go but I've noticed that UAA can be a bit schizophrenic about this sort of thing. Some names that I think should have gone elsewhere are blocked for their username, others I think are blatantly against policy are sent to another place. I guess it's all a matter of personal opinion, really. Like I said, don't worry about it. I didn't take any offensive over it at all. In fact, I kind of enjoyed this thread. ^.^ --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 22:59, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Archive help
Can you archive the older entries on the Proust talk page? [9]. Maybe archive anything older than 2008. Also, what does 'refactoring' mean? Thanks :) Malke2010 22:47, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's a fairly healthy size for a talk page. In my opinion, it doesn't really need archiving, mostly because it's fairly inactive. When you see a talk page as long as AN/I then you need to start really worrying about archiving (and that's with archiving for AN/I). If it also gets to this size you know you have a problem. Refactoring means to rewrite your comments, usually to remove controversial parts. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 23:12, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Caution
From WP:UP#CMT: "Policy does not prohibit users, including both registered and anonymous users, from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. Deleted warnings can still be found in the page history. Repeatedly restoring warnings does nothing but antagonize users, and can encourage further disruption." If you follow the link, you will see that it is accepable for users to remove block notices. Please do not behave like this again. Nev1 (talk) 04:21, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- By the time you posted this, I'd made three comments (one each on RPP, AN/I and the user's talk page) apologising. I have had previous troubles with this and was told (by an admin, if my memory serves) that warnings and WHOIS notices may be removed and that it is block notices that aren't. However, I've been re-flicking through policies to see if they've changed since I last checked and came across one relevant to this user and realised that it was probably a typo and they probably mean to say unblock notices. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 04:27, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Renaming Star Trek:Voyager episodes
Hello. I noticed that back in December you moved a Star Trek:Voyager article. Per WikiProject Star Trek guidelines, you only add "(Star Trek:Voyager)" to the end of an article name if there is another article with that name. With Cathexis for example. That article you moved that I linked to above appears to be the only one with that name. You may want to keep this in mind for future reference.--Rockfang (talk) 10:49, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, damn. I thought someone had managed to get them all. Sorry! (embarrased) You're the third person to say this. Join the club. As I said in that thread, "I just felt that it would make a hell of a lot more sense for them all to be named "Blah (series name here)" rather than just "blah (stick a series name here if you feel like it)" Regardless of whether there is another article near the episode title, it's done now and now they all match up (thereby making it easier if someone is typing them into the search bar rather than going through the episode list)." --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:37, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Do you patrol new user pages? Is there a link to all the pages on wikipedia to check for vandalism or do you just keep an eye out for pages on your watch list?Malke2010 22:29, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Denying me my deserved award
Falcon, you are some hypocrite, you are one sad bird, stalking Caesar and forcing him to remove his talk page, in which he granted me an award for one of the most intelligent posts placed upon Wikipedia. You even forced him to remove the rules of his page, solely on account of the fact that those rules banned the Queen of England from visiting his page. You obviously have no problem when your Wiki partners in crime hand you "red star" awards (which is an offense to all Russians, by the way, mocking the illustrious red star of the Soviets), yet you can not stomach the idea that a Wiki editor handed me an award, placing me in his Hall of Fame. The bottom line is this: you are jealous of me, and have been jealous of me from the first day you met me, and you are jealous of all Russians, for that matter, and that is more than obvious. Just because Russian artists are far superior to the lamebrain coldplay lovers of the world, you seek to demonize us. You can call me a "troll," you can refer to all Russians as "trolls," but you will never suppress the great Russian artists, no matter how hard you try. Your mission is doomed to fail, and I almost feel sorry for you but on second thought, not much. Even Mark Slater has a problem with your sense of aesthetics and, given that he is not exactly a picture of beauty himself, that should give everybody a good idea how wrong you happen to be. I demand you apologize to Caesar and replace his discussion page to what it was, and allow him to continue to honor me in a manner I deserve. MostFamousPeopleUSA (talk) 00:05, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

That was not technically a legitimate WP:AIV report, but after I researched it a little bit, it seemed to me that the admission of sockpuppetry as well as the vandalism from the primary account was enough of a reason for a block. Dragon Age: Origins
Heya, I have cleaned up the talk page at Talk:Dragon Age: Origins so that only outstanding issues remain, in order to make it easier to see what still needs to be done. Just curious, was I really at fault for calling the thread starter a DICK? I mean, if he can't leave me to do my job (I was in the process of testing a few sigs before deciding on one of them...) then is dragging me to WP:AN of any help? --Dave ♪♫1185♪♫ 19:14, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, it's been pretty busy today and I forgot about this. I was prepared to agree with you (at first, it did seem very abrupt the way the AN thread was brought up) but after re-reading the thread and looking through your talk page history for the timestamps, I think it was a bit unfair to call him a dick. You had three days between you first being notified and before the thread was started, three days in which you were active, so not seeing it can't be an excuse. I think that, at the very least, even if you couldn't decide on a new signature, you could have removed the blinking section. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 01:53, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- As I've mentioned in AN, point taken but I sincerely think that not everybody has a sense of messed up priorities as those guys did, while mine's being the improvement of articles first and foremost. This is to notify you that I have mentioned you at WT:UAA. Agolib (talk) 00:37, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Regarding the comments made there, whilst they are blunt, they do have some merit. UAA does not really need "clerking", or a feedback process, as the noticeboard is for blatant violations only. Feel free to continue to watch the noticeboard to learn, but may I advise you dedicate your attention to another area which is more backlogged, such as Redirects for Discussion, Article Assessment at WikiProject Videogames, Peer Review, or even Wikiquette Alerts. Feel free to contact me if your interested in Article Assessment, as there is a large backlog there, as many "Stubs" are actually expanded without ever being updated. I can also advise on Redirects for Discussion if you so wish. - Listen to what you wrote on the IPs talk page - "Don't refactor other people's comments". Which was exactly how Sypheria caused the situation in the first place? Wiki policy on talk pages states "Never edit someone's comment to change its meaning". Considering that Wikipedia is generally not censored, and that many people resort to foul language (look up) do you really think that Sypherias role has been exemplary? Is there any reason why Sypheria should not also receive a warning template? From the IPs page - "If you continue to delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you will be blocked for vandalism.". Does that not apply firstly to Sypheria? I think if Sypheria actually believed that the edit was vandalism they could have deleted it as such but altering someones comments to make them seem less like vandalism perhaps isn't the way to go? Cheers. Weakopedia (talk) 07:11, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Firstly, all Sypheria edited was the thread title. I've seen that happen all the time, from user talk pages, to article talk pages and even to (I believe) AN/I and no-one bats an eyelash. Personally, I feel that swearing is not something to be proud of and I try to do it as little as possible though sometimes, such as the above thread or when we first came across each other, my temper frays to the extent that I let out more than the odd "damn" or "bloody hell." However, just asking for the article to be unprotected could easily have been done without swearing about it. I probably would have done the same as Sypheria. If it had been part of the comment itself, then no, absolutely not. However, the thread title seems to be a bit of a gray area in terms of the policies I've encountered. I don't think Sypheria could have removed the thread, as someone else had already commented to that thread. If you wish to warn Sypheria, then go ahead. However, give a clear explanation as to why (or a link to this thread). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:34, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Note to TJF: Removal of personal attacks is specifically not included in the general prohibition against editing others comments, although there is considerable disagreement about this, and the general consensus is to replace the attack with a <personal attack removed> note. Please see WP:RPA regarding this if you wish for more detail. KillerChihuahua?!?Advice 18:54, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- The problem in this case was a poorly worded talkpage topic rather than a personal attack. That wasn't the only problem, it was in the wrong place and the editor who made the section reverted it's move to the bottom a bunch, but it just made me wonder whether it was better to remove something suspected as vandalism or alter it to become non-vandalism. I find TJF to be a committed editor and I value his opinion on the matter. Weakopedia (talk) 03:25, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Explanation
Okay... about a month ago, I received a death threat. Nothing serious, just a random cretin shouting "You reverted my edit, I'll kill you, faggot!" with bad spelling. Nothing I haven't seen before. I deleted it and went back to removing more vandalism. A few days later, same thing. And again twice more. That's when I noticed something odd. None of the addresses were real. They were all just random strings of characters and they were all different from each other. I've seen it before, I know you can fake an e-mail address. An old friend once e-mailed me from "jameskirk@federationhq.co.milkyway." I've had spam mail from my own address. But I thought it was rather odd that someone was doing it just to send me crap like that when I didn't even know what I did or who it was. Then things got more complex. They started to say things that sounded very fishy and, after the third e-mail like that, I figured it out why I was suspicious. Somehow, they were finding out personal information about me. Forum posts from months ago, little snippets of my life. That's when I started responding. After a few days, I started to worry about how much they knew about me. Then they started to quote some things that even I had forgotten about and promised me that they knew more about me, including where I lived. They gave me a choice: retire from Wikipedia or they'd find me and kill my family.
I wasn't willing to take that chance so I retired...
That's why I retired. No more. Here and now, I'm stopping this. I know you're reading this, whoever you are, so I'm telling you, in public, to fuck off. I can't believe someone would be pathetic enough go to this length of shit to protect their right to vandalise a fucking encyclopaedia! All of your e-mails were deleted after their arrival. However, the next one you send me won't be. If you ever contact me again, I'll call in every one of the numerous favours I am owed. Fake e-mail address or not, I will track you down. And when I do, you're going to have a nice little chat with the police. If you ever come near me or my friends and family, I'll fucking disembowel you and hang you from a tree. I do not have to put up with this shit, so I won't. If you out me, I'll find you. If you threaten me, I'll find you. If you come near me or someone I love, I'll kill you. Are we clear? If I ever see you again... You failed. I will not retire because someone demands it. I will return later tonight. Anyone else who wants to fuck with me, this was your only warning as well. I will not tolerate this. You fuck with me, I fuck right back. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:17, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Query
Why did you inform Weakopedia I had responded to him, but omitted mentioning to me that I had been strongly accused - inaccurately, as it happens - by him? I would appreciate your clear answer to this conundrum. Thanks - KillerChihuahua?!?Advice 18:49, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) No one at Wikipedia has any obligation to do anything, everyone volunteers.
- Obviously there are certain things that users aren't allowed to do, however, as far as I'm aware, there is nothing wrong with a user not doing something (please note: I make no comment on the whole Weakopedia incident, and am not even fully aware of what it was about). Kind regards, SpitfireTally-ho! 18:56, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

- Please don't think badly of TheJadeFalcon, I am guessing he regretted even mentioning it to me as soon as he did so, but he is also a very thorough editor and may have (quite rightly) assumed that I had not marked the page for my watchlist and that you, being a much more experienced editor, would have done so. As to the 'The Weakopedia Incident' (cheers Spitfire ;]) I quite honestly believed you had told me to 'STFU' and if I was wrong about that as you have suggested I happily apologise for making that mistake. Regards. Weakopedia (talk) 02:54, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- The entire discussion regarding language on that page was about an incident wherein TJF said "STFU", and I commented in thread, beginning with ""STFU" notwithstanding,... " I find it difficult to believe you thought I was speaking to you, rather than about the same darn thing the previous 20 or so posts had been talking about. If such is the case, it is a very odd case of you suddenly forgetting the topic at hand. However, if that is the case, allow me to suggest that you read more carefully and attempt to leap to confusions less often. Your apology is accepted. Well, if you want something that is wrong if you don't do it is fill in a statment thing for certain incidents. And probably more but can't think of any right now (ie can't be bothered) 'The Ninjalemming' 17:54, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

- No, there is no such situation. I have not criticized TJF for any action at all, ever. I have asked a question, with no criticism implied or intended. Depending upon the answer, I may or may not have advice for future situations. I have to say, this is the first time I've taken on mentoring of any kind to have a veritable mob of other editors rush to the mentoree's defense - unnecessarily, I might add, as I would not have agreed to this coaching had I not thought TJF had considerable potential and merit already. - O.o This was a heck of thread to come back too... Anyway, moving on rapidly...
- It's been too long for me to remember exactly why. However, after examining the time stamps, I've come to a few conclusions.
- A) I assumed that since you hadn't responded to my own reply (which I was half-expecting you to do), I thought that you hadn't noticed the talkback yet (maybe due to not being online) and therefore decided not to create another one.
- B) I assumed that you may have it on your watchlist after my response (unlikely, since I always assume that another person doesn't have it until it's confirmed that it is on there).
- C) I regretted mentioning it to Weakopedia instantly, seeing how long the editor review got in the end and decided that, should he respond, I would just leave it there and hope the review died silently and without notice.
- D) I'm an idiot and I simply forgot to place a second talkback.
- All of those are plausible. Regardless, if you took any offence from it at all, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:34, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- No offense at all; it was a simple query to try and get a glimpse at how your mind works. I had no idea the world would descend and make a novel of it - I am sorry, it must have been daunting to see this thread when you returned.
- I suggest that in the future, if you notify one person, whether you regret it or not, you should notify other parties. To do otherwise can have the appearance, however unintended, of selectivity - favoring one editor over another, or focusing attention on one and not the other. Please note this will occasionally happen regardless. All one can do is one's best. Also; if you think the discussion is spiraling out of control, you can always notify the second party and mention that; eg: "I am notifying you about blah. It seems to be spiraling a bit out of control, and I'm not sure if you'll want to participate, but as I had already notified EditorYadda, I felt it only fair to also notify you." This may work to head off complaints.
- FYI, I am almost impossible to offend. If I am offended, I will say so, clearly - you will not be wondering if I'm offended. Hope this helps! KillerChihuahua?!?Advice 13:46, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay, this is a message I hope all of my watchlisters will pick up on, regardless of who they are. Over my brief Wikibreak, where I just wanted to do some other stuff for a time, I ended up thinking on this subject considerably and how I react to it. I came to the conclusion that I am very lenient towards it and why I am like that. While I will still be lenient towards it and won't hand out instant warnings to new users, some of the people who appear here to be MySpacey have been around long enough to know better and I will be gradually cracking down on it more and more. From now on, all MySpacey edits will be reverted without discussion. You're all aware of my e-mail address, it's not like I keep it hidden. Use that if you just want to chat. If it continues, warnings will start to appear on your talk page, regardless of where I see the MySpacing, whether it's here or on another talk page. Thank you for reading and I hope everyone takes this into account. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:34, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

- Unfortunately, you can't host non-free files in your userspace (this specific image is a non-free, copyrighted file which was used under fair use) so there would be no point in undeleting as it would just be deleted again in a few days. Mass Effect 2
Bro, try to confirm sections I edit before reverting. Correlation does equal causation in the case of "random IP" edits. I prefer not to log in for my edits. You know I prefer not to do this for every Bioware game, remember the ending of DA:O? Thanks muchos.Chuglur (talk) 03:14, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Why do you even have a user account if you're not going to log in...? Anyway, you wanted specifics for your edits to List of characters in the Mass Effect universe, so here we go...
- Grunt: You asked in an edit summary "where is Grunt recruited again?" In that same edit, you deleted a citation saying where he was recruited. Where is your citation for Grunt being "genetically engineered"?
- Subject Zero: Yes, she's found on Purgatory (not "stub"), that was confirmed in a trailer. Where is the source that she is called "Jack." Yes, I know it can be a nickname for a woman, but it would require the full name in the article.
- Mordin Solus: Where is your source for changing his recruiting location from Tuchanka to Omega? Where is your source for any of it? And it's "genophage" not "xenofage". Learn to read subtitles.
- Samara: Likely, and would have just got a citation needed tag from me if it had been edited in on it's own, but combined with the other edits, I just reverted that one with the others.
- Legion: Where is your source for Legion being recruited on the Reaper seen in the trailers?
- Harbinger: Where is your source for Harbinger even existing. Besides, the trailers showed that it was the Collector leader that took control of others on the battlefield to make them more powerful. The Collector leader is clearly organic.
- You have provided absolutely no proof that you are not a pirate. If all this is true, then it can be edited in by someone else when the game has been played. I was willing to concede the Dragon Age point to you, but not this one, not when the game hasn't been released yet. If you can provide proof that you work for BioWare in any capacity, then so be it, I'll help you. If that is not the case, which I suspect is true, then post on the talk page for discussion and so, if another editor can confirm the edits, then they can spruce it up to be of some form of quality and then add it in. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 03:42, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Look I can cite in game dialogue like citation 3 of that page but I prefer not to. At this point it is an initial draft. I don't have time to sit down and make it completely awesome and conforming to all standards and practices. However I am putting up what I can remember of the the game in hopes people will expand and help as is the spirit of wikipedia. I assume you have been playing the game for 2 hours at least now. Grunt is actually the Doctor Okleer file in game. I'm almost 100% sure he isn't recruited on Omega as I only remember Mordin and Garrus on Omega. You should have gotten the initial Illusive Man dossiers where subject Zero is listed as Jack and Grunt as Dr.Okleer. Legion just is for now, not sure how to handle him yet, he's trying to cure a virus by the Reaper Geth faction and was on the Reaper extracting information before you recover him. Harbinger is shown as possessing the Collector general in the 2nd to last scene in the game and I can be a real asshole and spoil the last scene but I won't. Look all I ask is if I don't make total bullshit edits like "Sheppard is gay and sucks cock." just leave it for a few days with a citation tag up so others can help or I can finish it when I have time. I've posted the links to the edit that was reverted and my edit on the talkpage. Also, I know I have edited my userpage 34 times, I will try to edit User:Buggie111/ Russian battleship Sevastopol (1895) and User:Buggie111/Works in progress more often than my user page.
Thanks again for the review,

- Heh. Can't. NRA doesn't exist in England because we have far tighter gun laws than America (here, virtually no-one can legally own a gun). I'm taking a look at the edits and drafting an updated review right now. And don't worry. I've updated my user page far more than you have. Just try to keep a reasonable balance between article work and userspace work (though if you're working on an article in the sandbox, that's perfect acceptable). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 13:32, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

You could take it up on the IRC channel #wikimedia-tech connect. Hope you figure it out. -- /MWOAP|Notify Me\ 16:44, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

- You too. "In some cases you may wish to leave a note on their talk page, on the wiki, for example to say the e-mail was received, or a brief reply. Since e-mails are usually sent as a private communication, it is often courteous to keep a reply on the wiki as brief and non-privacy breaching as possible, since the sender will usually expect a private reply." I responded with only one word directly quoted. Consider it an expansion on the warning, explaining it further for both you and others who might be interested. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 17:48, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Accepting my apology
Thanks. It has been a crazy day. I fired that email off after the rather odd reply to my initial AN/I post that stated it was not a confirmed hoax, after I had clearly said that it was and that I had an email confirming it. I do have permission to report the email but you are right I didn't have full permission to give all of the details at the time of posting. Anyway the whole thing is sorted now. This was/is a very serious hoax as it is very elaborate and professional looking and there have been criminal cases involving Rothschild hoaxes in the past. Thank you
Thank you for taking care of that vandalism on my talk page while I was away. I appreciate it. Happy editing! 152.16.59.102 (talk) 23:26, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
User Page
I have no idea how i ended up on your page however i must say that is the Best use of a picture for a user page i have ever seen, some look really tacky and half assed, but that picture looks awesome how it is, you should be proud of it. Cheers ZooPro 05:04, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Mass Effect 2
can we PELASE get someone to finish that page? its just sitting there! Commanderfarvel (talk) 19:18, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Moved to my talk page. Unfortunately, I'm not active on the ME pages right now as the game only comes out in Europe tomorrow (and I'm annoyed because I may not actually get to play it untl Saturday) and I want my experience to be spoiler-free. As soon as I finish one playthrough, I'll return to activity there, but not until then. Try bugging Taelus (talk · contribs), see if she can help out a bit. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:39, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Commanderfarvel, I'll be happy to help out. I've edited everything up to the Soundtrack section as of today and added quite a bit of information for the characters including loyalty quests; I hope you approve of my edits. :) If anybody sees any information that may be wrong, feel free to tell me and I'll try to fix a mistake as soon as I can. I'll see if I can't finish sprucing up the article by the end of this week. -- Kilkia123 (talk) 01:23, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: Advice
I really don't know what to say right now, other than those 2 admins and you really surprised me with your kindness. I responded here basically to apologize to you. I have put you through a lot of crap during this adoption thing. I really am an emotional person, and let emotions get the best of me. I am really at a Wiki crossroads right now, and I can't tell what is going to happen next. I can assure you that my self-pitying behavior WILL stop and stop now. I'm behaving like a child and need to grow up some. I really don't know what's going to happen next, but I definitely won't be on here again for a long time. I don't know when I'll be back but when and if I do return, do you promise to help me still? And on an added side note, are people watching me? You have nade several messages about people telling you things about me. I have no problem with it, but I would like to know who it is... Tech43 (talk) 04:36, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'll help when you return if you feel you still need it at that point. And I contacted Caribbean H.Q. when you asked me too (and he was the one to tell me this was happening (I never would have noticed right now)) and I asked Leonard^Bloom for a copy of the deleted page just to see if there was anything in there that I could use to convince you to stop. As far as I can remember, that's all I've contacted people about. (retreats back into Wikibreak) --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:50, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
