Hey there TheNuggeteer. I saw your article on Virginia. It's a decent start, but there's not too much to it. In the future, it might be useful adding that info to the season article first. Not every proposed article needs an article, and some might never have enough info beyond a paragraph or two. For those storms, it's fine giving them a section in the season article, as long as they're covered somewhere. It's best for new articles to significantly expand what's in the season, like having five or more paragraphs. I mention that because the section for Virginia in the season article is largely unsourced. So what you wrote for the Virginia article could be more useful in the season article, where someone is more likely to come across it. Also when you make new articles, it's good to think about what lists they might be a part of. You could add Virginia to your newly created Typhoons in Taiwan, for example ;) ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:49, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

@Hurricanehink Thank you for your feedback! Instead, I will expand the season article and create the page. 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 04:39, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Resilient Barnstar
I'm glad you stuck with it and made the improvements to the Tropical Storm Kai-tak article, which is now a good article! There is a lot of stuff to cover, but I'll happily work with you if you're open to it. Cheers to your contributions. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:39, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
@Hurricanehink Thank you for giving this barnstar! 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 23:40, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
For sure. I wanted to kind of guide you as for what's expected in a good article for a retired storm. I'm sorry if I was hard to work with/insistent, but there were a few things that are in nearly every other featured/good typhoon article. I wanted to know if you wanted any mentoring, or general advice. It takes a lot to write a good article, but you are capable of it. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:29, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
I'm really happy to get my first GA, but do you think the article can fit to the FA criteria? I only used 3 sources from relief web, but I can include all. 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 00:50, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
To get it to FA, you'll have to expand the meteorological history to an additional paragraph. I always felt like it could've had more detail, but I didn't want to use that to hold back the GA nomination. Some of the wording is still clunky, like "On December 18, NASA said that the storm was about 23 miles per hour (37 km/h) and had a rainfall rate of 192.786 millimetres (7.5900 in) per hour." Also, I always felt like there could be more detail. Maybe having a section for all of the Philippines, and then a more thorough account island-by-island? There are also practically no journal articles, and there are few local sources. Also, your citations are going to be an issue, as it's not as clean and proper as it could be. If you're willing to do the work, it could probably eventually get to FA status, but I don't think the article is that close yet. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:48, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
@Hurricanehink Will do anything 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 02:03, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
If you want, you can participate in the peer review. 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 10:52, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Hey there, do you mean like the advisories for a given storm? Check the talk pages for season articles. For Kai-tak, for example, they appear under the talk page for the season under December, which shows all of the archived advisories. Is that what you meant? Or did you mean like the best track? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
