Citation needed tags
[edit]Following up on this bizarre comment - adding citation needed/OR tags is not "hurting the article". If you don't like it, don't add unverified/OR claims to articles. If anything, you should appreciate this - you (very prematurely) nominated SegaSonic the Hedgehog to be a GA, and unless you get a really sloppy/lazy reviewer, they've going to be pointing out basic stuff like this. - @Sergecross73: I think you know me well enough to know that I wouldn't have nominated it if I thought it wouldn't pass. JOEBRO64 20:13, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- I know you know how to get an article to GA status. But I also know when an article is generally looks like its "2017 GA status". I wouldn't think it's there, especially with a number of the issues I've raised, some of which still being unaddressed. Sergecross73 msg me 20:37, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Sergecross73: Yes, it's small, but from Wikipedia:Out of scope -- "The extent of the subject matter identifies the range of material that belongs in the article." I've added this note to the GAN, and I've fixed a lot of the verification issues and added some more information. Like the Waku Waku Sonic thing (I had read somewhere it was related to SegaSonic the Hedgehog, but I can't remember where). JOEBRO64 20:41, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- I wasn't talking about the length, but rather, any number of the things I've pointed out in the last 24 hours that lacked sourcing or importance. It seems you've since addressed my concerns about the "subseries" claim you made without source, by removing that wording. Thank you for that. But again, I really think these things I'm pointing out were going to come up sooner or later in a review, so its hardly "hurting" things. Sergecross73 msg me 20:44, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Indents
[edit]Hi -- didn't want to clog up the FAC with this. FYI, when you indent after a "*", don't use ":*" -- it causes problems for screen readers used by visually impaired readers. See WP:LISTGAP for more details. Basically the rule is: whatever the combination of * and : above your comment, repeat it exactly, and add a colon to indent or an asterisk to create a bullet. I had to have someone explain this to me years ago; it's one of the most confusing things in wikitext, I think. Re the FAC, you've fixed everything I've found so far, so we're looking good. I'm going to read it through again and have a think about it, and if Czar doesn't comment in the next day or so I'll review the reception section, probably Monday or Tuesday. Rollback granted
[edit]Hi TheJoebro64. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Alex Shih (talk) 01:22, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
tag from List of Donkey Kong characters, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, proposed deletion is disallowed on articles that have previously been de-prodded, even by the page's creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{proposed deletion}}
template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! —KuyaBriBriTalk 19:28, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
Pending changes reviewer granted
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

DYK for Sonic Colors
[edit]On 18 November 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sonic Colors, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the video game Sonic Colors was designed to appeal to a wide demographic, specifically children and fans of the Super Mario series? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sonic Colors. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sonic Colors), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Chaotix page needs copied from
[edit]Please add the appropriate copied from tags to the talk page, and have someone else on WP Video games assess the article beyond C-class as you appear to be the significant editor on the newly added material. Thanks. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:05, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: I didn't actually copy it from anywhere, I created it in a draftspace (User:TheJoebro64/drafts/Chaotix) from scratch. Should I put that as it? JOEBRO64 21:08, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- As long as it was built entirely from scratch and not from the content on the characters page, then the "copied from" won't be needed. Thanks. Sorry for assuming it was being split off without consensus. The talk page only showed one person who responded to the split proposal. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:12, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
