Welcome to WikiProject Taylor Swift! (January 19)
[edit]Welcome to the Taylor Swift WikiProject! We are very pleased to have your help with the project. If you have not done so yet, it is strongly recommended that you add all the Taylor Swift pages to your watchlist. If you have any inquiries regarding the project, or any articles relating to Taylor Swift, please direct them to the project's talk page. Alternately, you could also bring up a discussion on the article's own talk page, or message a fellow participant, but we would prefer all participants engaging on the project's own talk page. If you find yourself inactive with the project for an extended period of time, feel free to remove yourself, or just add yourself to the inactive participants section. Thank you and happy editing! Thanks (February 4)
[edit]Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate you defending me with regards to multiple allegations I just received. Your work does not go unnoticed, and I didn't want to spam you with thank yous, so I thought I’d just leave a message on your talk. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:42, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- Doggy, you are one of the nicest and best editors I know. Your extensive knowledge of music topics and policy makes you a perfect candidate for an editor, and your persistence to do what is right is always appreciated here. I should really be saying thank you. You've made Wikipedia and the Taylor Swift WikiProject better than ever. TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 20:50, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- Please don’t think I ignored you, I didn’t. I somehow didn’t notice this on my watchlist. Anyways, thank you so much. I can’t possibly express my gratitude towards you. You are an asset to Wikipedia. I’ve seen you in my watchlist lots of times, and until today, we’ve never had a real conversation, but I can tell that you are such a kind editor who has such great morals. Thank you for making Wikipedia better. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:35, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

While you likely don't remember, one of my first edits, to Talk:Lover (album) was reverted by you (the situation was resolved). Kinda crazy how everything's come full circle. TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 16:00, 5 February 2021 (UTC) - Completely unrelated: can I help out at User:TheCartoonEditor/sandbox/August (Taylor Swift song)? Before the whole Willow situation today, I was very close to putting the {{wikibonked}} template on my userpage and taking a break, and I’m looking for stuff to do. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:40, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, totally, no problem! I've been having a hard time finding refs to use, so you hellping would be fantastic. Thanks so much! TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 13:04, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Eisner Award for Best Writer/Artist (May 19)
[edit]In case you're wondering why I skipped over making the page for Best Writer/Artist, it's because there have been six different awards with similar names, often awarded in the same year, and I could not figure out what to do with them.
- Writer/Arist Non-Fiction
- Writer/Artist
- Writer/Artist Drama
- Writer/Artist Humor
- Writer/Artist or Writer/Artist Team
- Writer/Artist Team
Thematthewmurray (talk) 19:39, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Thematthewmurray: Thank you for your input! It's great that you are expanding the Eisner Award list. I think that Writer/Artist Non-Fiction, Drama, and Humor are separate categories (now discontinued), and the Writer/Artist Team is also discontinued. Writer/Artist or Writer Artist/Team seem to be the current categories. Thanks! TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 21:08, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- The only one that is still currently given out is Writer/Artist. I made a spreadsheet to track which year(s) each award was given out in. (See image)
- The questions I had were:
- Can Writer/Artist Drama be seen as a continuation of Writer/Artist?
- What do you do with Writer/Artist Humor?
- What do you do with the team awards? (1993 having bother Writer/Artist and Writer/Artist Team is so frustrating)
- Why did they have to give out Writer/Artist Non-Fiction once?
- Anyway, if you want to figure out what to do with this, go for it!

Explanation
[edit]Hey! Congrats on becoming extended-confirmed!!! I was reviewing my watchlist as I had not done it in two days, and I realized you copied the milestones section of my userpage onto your userpage. I am completely fine with that, but I wish you would have attributed me to that edit (WP:CWW). Knowing that, I made this edit for two reasons. The first reason is that I attributed the content to myself. Just so you know, I don't have a problem with you copying content that I wrote (in fact, I'm quite flattered that editors such as you have copied from my userpage). The second reason is that I removed the content that did not serve a purpose (the commented out milestones), as they are my milestones and not yours, and I didn't think you having them as a part of your userpage would be beneficial. Now, I want to reiterate that I do not find this to be a problem, and I am flattered that you have copied from my userpage, and I have attributed the content to me, so you do not need to do anything, I just wanted to let you know. Thanks, and congrats on 500 edits!! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 01:35, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I would also like to apologize for using your table without proper attribution. I definitely should have done that in the first place. Thanks again! TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 02:04, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- I accept your apology. Like I said before, it's no biggie, I just wanted to let you know. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:02, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi there
[edit]I'm trying to update the page on Frank McGrath, you rolled back my edits before I could add any citations, let alone finish this project. Is it okay with you if I finish updating this page??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.241.232.213 (talk) 06:28, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- @71.241.232.213:, the reason I rollbacked your edits was that the template on the page was broken. You may do whatever you'd like to do with citations and all that, as long as you don't break the template. TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 06:31, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
Manu Bhaker (untitled section by 208.59.177.152)
[edit]Hi, I updated the Manu Bhaker page for a factual inaccuracy (she won gold medals in the mixed event at the 2019 WCs, not 2018). You wrote that the edit 'did not appear constructive and has been reverted'. I do not understand how correcting an error is not constructive. (I didnt add a new citation because the source is the same from which the table on the right has been created). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.59.177.152 (talk) 13:20, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Doh! Thank you so much! I was going through the page quickly and didn't see that you corrected the error. I've reverted my edits and removed the warning. Thank you for trying to make Wikipedia a better place ! TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 15:21, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion
[edit]Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to Eurodance.
If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref>
and one or more <ref name="foo"/>
referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref>
but left the <ref name="foo"/>
, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/>
with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>
; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.
If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks! AnomieBOT⚡ 14:04, 4 June 2021 (UTC) If you do not wish to receive this message in the future, add {{bots|optout=AnomieBOT-OrphanReferenceFixer}}
to your talk page.
Concerning Edit Reversion (June 4th)
[edit]I am confused as to how a picture is not a reliable source. The alamy link to the picture of 43173 includes a timestamp of the correct date. I have however located a page in a Rail magazine that does show the unit in question wearing GWT Merlin, like the picture I originally found. The unit number is hidden, but there is surely no question that it is the unit involved in the Southall Crash. I cannot provide a direct link, as the page is behind a paywall, so how would I cite that page as a source? Especially as it is in a physical magazine. Also apologies if I somehow mess up the talk page, this is the first time I've ever used the talk page feature.149.86.90.133 (talk) 21:34, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
Plot unharmed, but never mind..
[edit]Hi. The following was going to be my original reply before I was blocked for Open proxy:
Hi there, I just want to inform you that the plot was not unharmed. I am new on Wikipedia but I do know what I'm doing and how Wikipedia works, wait I'm not new, I just created my account recently. So, I do know removing or trimming the plot just to avoid spoilers is stupid so if you just checkout the differences i made you'll find out that the plot was unharmed. Instead of "takes revenge" I added "attempts to take revenge" which is how it happened in the season and also how it should be described. Wiki spoiler page talks about common sense as well as exceptions, common sense is that it will ruin one of the biggest moments of the entire series for someone, which does not stand out as an exception. If the plot was unexplainable without the spoiler, that would be understandable, but that's not the case. All you need to know is that "Sasuke attempts to take revenge against Itachi for destroying their clan in this season" and that will definitely be enough if you're familiar with Naruto. In case you're not familiar with Naruto, nothing will stand out to you because it is way too far in the series and you'll just read it and ignore. Now, there is no good way it can turn out with the spoiler as one will either get one of the biggest arcs of the series spoiled for them or they will just ignore it (which is with or without the spoiler in case of ignoring). However, there is a good way it can turn out which is by making it spoiler free AND retaining the plot, which my edit totally does, and that's the common sense to me. I hope you understand my edit now, thanks for the wiki spoilers page.
But never mind that now because I actually wanted to organize the whole series not just in the overall episode number but with episode numbers within the season. While I was blocked, I realised that someone had done my work for me all at once and it looks magnificent. Thanks to SpectresWrath for his magnificent work now I don't need to do anything anymore! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Murtaza9761 (talk • contribs) 08:15, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Murtaza9761: W-Who are you? I don't think I've ever collaborated or had a conversation with you. Are you on the wrong talk page? TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 11:59, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Murtaza9761: Oh. Nevermind. Thank you for the response! I am not familiar with Naruto (or any anime for that matter) so I should have probably stayed out of it. Still, however, It is a spoiler, and thus should not be changed via the 4th point here. TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 12:11, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Thanks lol
[edit]I've never edited wikipedia before, I just saw that the dark matter page was weirdly screwed up, so thanks for helping me revert it back to normal after the cluebot reverted my edit. 173.67.2.32 (talk) 01:45, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Idk how to sign this I don't have a wikipedia account or anything

Help
[edit]Hello TheCartoonEditor can you lock a page for me? The user reached out for lock on the page Deplug1 (talk) 20:05, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
@Deplug1: yes! What page and what user (so i can reach out to them)? TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 23:52, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
TheCartoonEditor this is the page Wofai Samuel, the user is no longer on Wikipedia, they want the page locked Deplug1 (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deplug1 (talk • contribs) 13:05, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
@Deplug1: Ok, two things
1. Why is the user no longer on wikipedia? 2. Why did the user want the page protected (and what level)? TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 15:47, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
Hello! TheCartoonEditor I believe the user might be blocked and fear for future vandalism, the page being locked will help him monitor the page, semi protected is good for the page Deplug1 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 16:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
@Deplug1: I'm not sure what you mean by "monitor the page". TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 19:53, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
@TheCartoonEditor: I mean watch over the page, like he can’t watch for the page for vandalism prevention Deplug1 (talk)
@Deplug1: Didn;t you just say he was blocked in fear of future vandalism? So he is a vandal? Why would he want to watch over the page for vandalism protection? TheCartoonEditor (talk) (contribs) 05:41, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
@TheCartoonEditor: You misunderstood me, he wasn’t a vandal, I meant the protection is to protect vandalism, his blocked wasn’t because of any vandalism, I can solicit a page for vandal, his block seems to be a fair matter
Help me rectify
