DYK for SkyCycle (concept)
On 15 February 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article SkyCycle (concept), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the first phase of SkyCycle, a proposed network of elevated cycle paths in London, is expected to cost £220 million? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

An award given to you on behalf of people you have helped
The 25 DYK Nomination Medal | ||
There are dozens of people who have written and nominated 25 of there own DYK articles. This is a major achievement, however the award that you get is not, in my opinion, the highest award given by the DYK project. The highest award are given to the people who nominate other peoples articles. Its a selfless task and it is not "easy" ... its tricky. You are one of the few with a twenty five award. Brilliant! Well done! Victuallers (talk) 23:16, 22 February 2014 (UTC) |
Relevance of Willys in current society
Dear Mr/Mrs.tentinator, Thank you for your message concerning my recent edit to "English monarch family tree". However I do believe that "willys" was extremely relevant to the English monarch family, if not for willys, none of the English monarchs would have been born, correct? Also considering willys is at the heart of every person, I find myself crest-fallen at the lack of respect and appreciation for the willy/willis. If not for willys, would you yourself be here, on this planet, to remove my edit at all? Therefore if not for willys you would not be able to remove my edit about willys. I think this fact needs to be recognised by all those at Wikipedia.org. Willys make the world go round. To say the reader would not benefit from my edit to said article, is small-minded and un-willy like. My aim of posting the word "willy" repeatedly is that the every day man/women/unicorn/narwall etc. would realise the importance of willys in every day society.Willys for life. Good Faith Edit Reversion
Hey, I'm not here to complain so please respond. I wanted to ask you why you reverted my edits on this page: Monta Vista High School I added a couple of tables that took me a long time to make, and I was wondering why you reverted them. I am not aware of any Wikipedia rules I broke by making my tables, the information I posted there was public, and I could even give a citation to the school page on it. Please reply at least telling me what I did wrong. Thanks for your time. Ofek Gila (talk) 23:49, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
DYK for Ethiopian Airlines Flight 702 hijacking

your deletion of my edit...
I understand that you deleted my edit with the help of STiki, a tool supposed to detect vandalism or any action compromising the content of wikipedia. OK, nice. My only point was to make clear that, in contradiction with what is said in the "yahoo Mail" page, yahooMail does provide the ability to read mails in Tabs. It also providet the ability to read mails in the "conversation" style. I know for sure , as I was one of the thousands of users who didnt take the time to watch and experiment, and rushed to complain, only to find my mistake later. So if your are happy with the totally inaccurate statements made in the current page, I am not going to fight for it. I dont know where your authority on banning edits comes from, but providing inaccurate descriptions could, in my view "compromise the content of wikipedia". But it's just up to you.. ~~Pierre Barberis~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pierrebarbs (talk • contribs) 09:38, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
I deleted a line claiming that THE POLAR EXPRESS was one of the AFI's Top Ten Animated Films. Yet when you click on the Wikipedia link, it clearly is NOT one of the Top 10 films in that category. Perhaps it's on a longer list...but that should be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommy the ki (talk • contribs) 06:59, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
I deleted an inaccurate posting on the Polar Express page claiming that the film made the Top Ten on AFI's best animated films and linked to WIkipedia's page on the AFi...but I copied that list below: NO, NO, NO Polar Express!!!!! A very clear error that needs correction (even if it's not "constructive"!). So FIX IT Year 1 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1937 2 Pinocchio 1940 3 Bambi 1942 4 The Lion King 1994 5 Fantasia 1940 6 Toy Story 1995 7 Beauty and the Beast 1991 8 Shrek 2001 9 Cinderella 1950 10 Finding Nemo 2003 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommy the ki (talk • contribs) 07:07, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
removal of recent award of the Soldiers Medal and section for Afghanistan.
I am curious as to why you would remove any individual from the list , let alone , remove the war header as well? Are you A US Army Officer or NCO ? I happened to personally witness the award of this Medal Saturday and cited the location and Armory it was awarded at. This Medal is the Highest Honor for a Non combat Act that can be given, and you see fit to judge if it can be listed or not? I am also Retired Army as a E-8 and take offence to anyone defacing such a honor as was given to a Fellow Soldier. I personally witnessed this event and witnessed the 2 Star General and the Command Sargent Major of the California National Guard give this award. I am wondering why you would remove the info with the Armory were it was given as citation proof of the award? Verification of the award could be made any day of the week by simply calling the armory. Please explain this action as I will be resubmitting The Info and will consider any removal as improper, and vandalism and will submit any further issues for Mediation. I recently recieved the message " Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Koumpiodontosuchus. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. Tentinator 07:36, 22 March 2014 (UTC)".
I made the edits to the date the specimens were brought into the museum as they were incorrect. Many reports in the press have gone out with incorrect information aswell, but it is too late to alter them.
As a member of staff at the institution the specimen was donated to, is there any way for me to correct the information without being accused of "vandalism" as you put it so lovingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.63.3.210 (talk) 07:40, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

You boldly moved this page (without any explanation) and made some changes to the text (also without explanation). There was no obvious reason for this (other than maybe personal preference), so I’ve moved it back and reverted, per BRD.
If you feel your changes were an improvement perhaps you should open a discussion on the talk page about them: If you think your title is better I would suggest you take it to Requested Moves and make a case for it there. Swanny18 (talk) 22:11, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Invitation join the new Physiology Wikiproject!
Based on the long felt gap for categorization and improvization of WP:MED articles relating to the field of physiology, the new WikiProject Physiology has been created. WikiProject Physiology is still in its infancy and needs your help. On behalf of a group of editors striving to improve the quality of physiology articles here on Wikipedia, I would like to invite you to come on board and participate in the betterment of physiology related articles. Help us to jumpstart this WikiProject.
- Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the WikiProkect Physiology talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
- You can tag the talk pages of relevant articles with {{WikiProject Physiology|class=|importance=}} with your assessment of the article class and importance alongwith. Please note that WP:Physiology, WP:Physio, WP:Phy can be used interchangeably.
- You will make a big difference to the quality of information by adding reliable sources. Sourcing physiology articles is essential and makes a big difference to the quality of articles. And, while you're at it, why not use a book to source information, which can source multiple articles at once!
- We try and use a standard way of arranging the content in each article. That layout is here. These headings let us have a standard way of presenting the information in anatomical articles, indicate what information may have been forgotten, and save angst when trying to decide how to organise an article. That said, this might not suit every article. If in doubt, be bold!
- Why not try and strive to create a good article! Physiology related articles are often small in scope, have available sources, and only a limited amount of research available that is readily presentable!
- Your contributions to the WikiProject page, related categories and templates is also welcome.
- To invite other editors to this WikiProject, copy and past this template (with the signature):
{{subst:WP Physiology–invite}}
~~~~
- To welcome editors of physiology articles, copy and past this template (with the signature):
{{subst:WP Physiology–welcome}}
~~~~
- You can feel free to contact us on the WikiProkect Physiology talk page if you have any problems, or wish to join us. You can also put your suggestions there and discuss the scope of participation.
Hoping for your cooperation! DiptanshuTalk 13:06, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Janet Mitchell.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Janet Mitchell.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi Tentinator,
I was just wondering if you could help me; I uploaded the opening credit intertitle of Happy Valley, and inserted it into the article. But I've also uploaded the ending credit intertitle of Happy Valley here. Because of my rational, I think it should be uploaded into the infobox as a second image, but how does someone do that? I know you can have the one image in the infobox, but to be honest I've never come across two? So if I can't get two into the infobox, where could I put it? Because at the end of the day, I think it is necessary to have it on the article somewhere, like I explained in the "Purpose of use in article" section and "Minimal use" on the file's page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Weihrauch HW55 - copyright status?
Hello Tentinator, as you have been the last regular editor in this article (in January 2014), could you help me with a quick question please? I'd usually just nominate this for speedy deletion, but was hoping you may know something more about the article's edit history before I nominate it (the article creator has been inactive for years). Replaceable fair use File:Mini Metro.png
Thanks for uploading File:Mini Metro.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. New deal for page patrollers
Hi Tentinator,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

BBE edit (bad buyer experience)
Chashitsu (talk) 16:36, 21 November 2016 (UTC) Hi, I am new to Wikipedia, please can you tell me, what was wrong with my edit to BBE ? Bad Buyer Experience - I found this BBE acronym in my email and it was hard to google it... Thank you.
- The BBE page is not a dumping ground for every possible meaning of the abbreviation. Only notable abbreviations (those which have or should have Wikipedia articles) should be mentioned on the page. See WP:DISAMBIG for more information. Tentinator 16:43, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Chashitsu (talk) 16:55, 21 November 2016 (UTC) Ok I get it.

Thanks
Thank you very much for the nice welcome. In fact, I am not new but rather a sad old **** who is on an enforced break and doing cold turkey and shouldn't really be here at all: I should be doing something useful with my life! But I do very much appreciate the kind thought. Cheers 82.34.71.202 (talk) 13:43, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

DYK for West London Air Terminal
On 25 June 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article West London Air Terminal, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the new West London Air Terminal building was opened by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1963? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/West London Air Terminal. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, West London Air Terminal), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
