Twinkle and CSD
If it's not working for you, it would still be less work for you (and others) if you just manually edited the articles with one of the deletion templates rather than nominating obvious CSD candidates for AFD. Thanks. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 18:16, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I plan on expanding the article to look something like List of Korn awards, another article that I have worked on. Gary King (talk) 19:15, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Turnerzworld
Hello! How are you? I just created the page Turnerzworld and noticed that its up for speedy deletion?? I was not done writing the article, and was about to clean it up a little. Could you possibly remove the tag, and come the time of its completion we can re-evaluate the situation. Kindest Regards, Theinfopro123 (talk) 13:38, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Discussion about the next DC Meetup
Greetings! You are receiving this message because you said you wanted to be reminded about future DC meetups on Wikipedia:Meetup/DC_4. We are planning the next DC meetup in late August/early September at Wikipedia:Meetup/DC_5, and would love to have your input. Staeiou (talk) 15:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Central Artery revisions
Please take time to review some non-trivial additions and revisions I have made to the Central Artery article. You are receiving this message because you have made substantial contributions to the article and/or the Massachusetts State Highways Project. I have posted a draft article at Talk:Central_Artery/Draft_2008-08-11. I explain the revisions and add a request for comments at the bottom of that page. Please comment there. Thanks - Sswonk (talk) 17:48, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Massachusetts Route C1
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Massachusetts Route C1, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Image move request
Hi, Tckma. You requested that File:I-95 in Fairfax County Virginia.JPG be moved to correct the name, but images cannot be moved with the normal move button. You'll have to re-upload the image under the correct file name, and have the other deleted. Once you've uploaded the image under the correct name, you can add {{isd|Full name of image excluding the "File:" prefix}} so it can be deleted by an admin. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 17:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I've done that... but it appears the {{isd}} template doesn't put the image in cat:csd. So, I CSD'd it as a duplicate image using Twinkle. --Tckma (talk) 15:42, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Redirect of PAUL TARANTINO
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on PAUL TARANTINO, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because PAUL TARANTINO is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting PAUL TARANTINO, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Amendments to Word Association (Sandbox) Game 24 (Dark Side of the Moon)
Hi. Could I please ask that in future when doing what you did to the game (changing my entry), please let me know what you have done so that I can avoid the issue again. I was half asleep when I did that, and I just saw DVD and made a natural progression. Just drop me a note on my talk page if I screw up again! Cheers Thor Malmjursson (talk) 21:22, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

WP:NYSR inactivity check
Hello, Tckma. You are receiving this message because you are listed on the participant list of WP:NYSR. I am conducting an inactivity check on behalf of the project to see if the project still has an active editor base. The status column on the participant list will be cleared today, and to remain a listed member of the project, you must update your status on the participant list (preferably using the terms "Active", "Semi-active", or "Inactive") which is located here. Those who do not update their status after one week (by the night of June 25) and those who put inactive as their status will be removed from the list. If you have any questions, please leave a message on my talk page or at the "A smorgasbord of topics" section on WT:NYSR. Thank you for your understanding and your time. – TMF 12:31, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
WP:SSP case
Hi Tckma!
Just to let you know: Your SSP case against Chez A Peek landed in the article space, so I moved it to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Chez A Peek and added it to the list of sock puppet cases. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 19:51, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I just added the case using the form at WP:SPI... then it prompted me to add a heading. No idea how that ended up in article space.
- Actually, I think those socks are from a closed case from yesterday -- in the future, how do I resurrect a closed case? --Tckma (talk) 19:52, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Im not certain if there is a procedure to reopen a closed SSP case, but if i need to refer to a previous case i just links the case in the evidence section. Most times that seems to be enough to inform a checkuser of a repeated case. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 20:00, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

UAA reports
There's no need to add {{UAA|wt}} to your reports at UAA, doing so confuses the bots :-) Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 19:15, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well in those cases, if I don't add it, another editor will. Maybe I shouldn't be flagging potential violations, but I've been doing new user patrol for long enough to recognize some signs. I could be duplicating some bot work, but a lot of times I see my own reports before the bots report them, which seems odd. --Tckma (talk) 13:51, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- uaa|wt is a template for admins to use when declining or accepting a report. If you add it when reporting a user, the helper bot will think an admin has already dealt with your report, and remove the report. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 16:31, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion contested: Ediblered
Hello Tckma, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I contested the speedy deletion of Ediblered - a page you tagged - because: The article makes a credible assertion of notability, sufficient to pass A7. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. NW (Talk) 22:42, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Further, the instructions for reporting at UAA have been updated to reflect current policy. You may wish to review this information at your convenience. Cheers, Nja247 13:27, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Help me please
Hi. I just created the page on Robotic Kidney Surgery but it has been tagged for speedy deletion. How should I edit it such that it isn't deleted? Also, the website that I got some of the information from is owned by Henry Ford Health Systems, where I am working to put up this page on wikipedia. That is why they have given me permission to use the website but how do I make sure that Wikipedia knows that I have gotten approval from Henry Ford? Crogers1 (talk) 15:09, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Please read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. Per section 3 ("When permission is confirmed"), you'll need to e-mail permissions-en AT wikipedia DOT org with the permissions e-mails obtained in section 2 ("How to ask for permission"). Then, add the text {{OTRS pending}} to the article's talk page. --Tckma (talk) 15:21, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I've reverted your change to this user's userpage. Its pretty common enough practice, and I'm not aware of any significant policy shift to disallow it. Was there some reason? Syrthiss (talk) 18:44, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that a User page is something different from a User Talk page. I don't think one should redirect to the other under normal circumstances. I agree in that don't think it's specifically disallowed to have a redirect there -- it just seems a little odd to me. In four years of being on Wikipedia, this is the first time I've seen that kind of a redirect happen intentionally, so I'm not sure I agree with you that it's "common enough practice." Is there a particular reason for keeping the redirect? --Tckma (talk) 18:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- See User:Blofeld for just one example. I can't give you others offhand because its not odd or uncommon enough that I would have seen it and said 'Uh oh something is up'. I only recall Blofeld having it because I've been to his page today. In general, I've seen it done and seen it not done. The reason on the table for keeping the redirect is that it's the users own userpage, and thats what he put on it. Barring any policy against it, I'm inclined to let him keep the redirect. Syrthiss (talk) 18:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- thats what he put on it. -- Reason enough for me. --Tckma (talk) 19:01, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks :) Syrthiss (talk) 19:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- This is obviously old news, but I believe I can shed some light on it. When I was a new user I didn't have a user page, and it was suggested to me that if I didn't want one I could redirect it to my talk page so my sig wouldn't show up as a redlink. Actually, a quick look at WP:UP reveals this "If you would prefer not to have a user page, then it is recommended that you redirect it to your user talk page for the convenience of other editors." Beeblebrox (talk) 21:19, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks :) Syrthiss (talk) 19:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for seeing my obvious blunder of naming this category incorrectly. I did try to move it to the correct name but it wouldn't let me move it into the Category namespace.
I, BlindEagletalk~contribs, do hereby bestow upon you this Clue Stick for recognizing when articles need to be deleted and when users create categories with incorrect names. Much thanks!
BlindEagletalk~contribs 13:53, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- Please do not waste your time and ours by taking something like this to AfD. It was an obvious mistake - all it needed was {{db|mistake}}. It would have been much more useful if you had copy&pasted it into the correct place for the BlindEagle. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 14:49, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Your recent reports at WP:UAA
- Please do not report inactive accounts. There is no point in blocking a username with one edit that was months or even years ago. Frankly, this suggests that you are simply going through usernames looking for someone to "bust." I would suggest that there are many more constructive ways you could be spending your time on Wikipedia. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:15, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Please accept my apologies. There has recently been some talk about requesting a bot to clean up Category:Wikipedian usernames editors have expressed concern over. It's not clear from the talk page that the bot has been created. Normally I don't "go through usernames looking for someone to bust," as I agree with you that it's largely a waste of my time and that of admins. Honestly, what I usually do is go through the list of the 500 most recently created usernames and see if any are candidates for UAA. In light of the recent change in WP:U disallowing promotional usernames (see WP:SPAMNAME), however, I thought I'd quickly skim the category to see what names have been flagged in the past by editors that may violate the new standards. Please understand that I do take your point that someone who made one edit several years ago is unlikely to return under the same username. Tckma (talk) 19:36, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your understanding. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:07, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
