- I just saw your edit to the Billy's Puddle article and because he lives there now, in combination with your username, seemed like you might be him; amazing writer....also amazing country where you come from, I've never been in there, much to my regret (I'm from the Bridge River Country.Skookum1 (talk) 05:07, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Osoyoos shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. - Thank you for the heads up. I have tried to engage the other member, but he/she has not responded to any of my comments in the talk section. I suspect that the person has done their own independent research, and thus has a lot of vested time in the project. I suppose it is best for me to live and let live even though it is non-standard to use one's own research in favour of data averages provided by Environment Canada. “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” - James Baldwin (talk) 05:49, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- No problem, I warned the other editor as well. Perhaps create a new section at the article's talk page and try to gain consensus for an appropriate change. I am not really sure which is correct right now, but try that then. If it is incorrect, then please do, because we do not want incorrect errors at Wikipedia, intentional or not. Also, if the three revert rule is violated, both of you will probably be reported to administrators who will maybe block at administrators edit warning noticeboard, so just be careful there. I am not sure about that. TBrandley (what's up) 05:58, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- I see he has discovered the talk section, and that's good. “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” - James Baldwin (talk) 06:07, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Hwy43. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Lillooet, British Columbia, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hwy43 (talk) 05:04, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- It's true and is on Environment Canada somewhere....my issue is that Tatlayoko spelled "Lillooet" with one 'o'. :-). There might be drier\sunnier spots up the Canyon around High Bar or Moran, but there's no weather stations there; the current one also isn't in the driest spot in town either; location has changed many times since the first one at the Government Agent's office in whatever year it was (Phair's Store, about where the Post Office is now).Skookum1 (talk) 05:30, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- Re that, have a read through this.Skookum1 (talk) 05:58, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Choelquoit lake moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Choelquoit lake, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. New Lakes in Canada
[edit]Hi I've noticed you've been creating many new lake articles for British Columbia, thank you for that. There is a group at WikiProject Lakes which would love to help curate these in WikiPedia for a consistent experience. By adding the {{WikiProject Lakes}} tag to the talk page it will make the articles visible to the project. Please feel free to add yourself as a member and take a look at some of the practice and structure suggestions. Wolfgang8741 says: If not you, then who? (talk) 05:58, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
