Ref desk confusion

Not sure if you're aware, but your comment on the Math Ref Desk starting "Possibly a more interesting question: ..." was added and removed several times by different editors. Looks like it might have gotten caught up in some block evasion kerfuffle and since you're a regular there I thought I'd mention it in case you wanted to restore it from the history. Sometimes revert conflicts can get confusing and I wanted to make sure no legitimate edits got lost in the shuffle. --RDBury (talk) 01:20, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

I removed it (though I don't remember why) right after I wrote it, then an IP restored it with a reply ... what a day —Tamfang (talk) 18:38, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Cleopatra FAC

Hello! Judging by the talk page archives, I see that you have shown a strong interest for the article Cleopatra in the past. Would you be interested in reviewing it as a Featured Article Candidate? If so, please share your thoughts and critiques at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Cleopatra/archive1. It would be most appreciated. Regards, Pericles of AthensTalk 16:55, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

Really not my thing, thanks. —Tamfang (talk) 08:36, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

mp3 conversion

Can't reply on RD since it's protected. There's a good chance you can brew install ffmpeg instead of having to download and build it. Then just write a shell script that converts all your files:

ffmpeg -i file001.aac file001.mp3
ffmpeg -i file002.aac file002.mp3
...
etc.

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Tamfang. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
