Questions
- Empire AS, sorry for bothering you again during your busy days, I am so sorry for any inconvenience, can you please tell me which tool you use for filling references. If you have any idea, I would be gratified, and I am again so sorry for agitating you. Anyways, you can reply to this message, anytime, as I will be offline from Wikipedia until Friday. I am sorry again and thank you, for all your help, that you took your time ana answered my unnecessary questions. Cheers. Tahaaleem (talk) 14:52, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not bothered from your question at all. As I edit Wikipedia only when I'm free. Therefore, I have no problem with answering. The tools are use are available here. There are lot of citation tools on Wikipedia. See WP:CITETOOL. However, the tools that I use mostly for expanding bare refs is reFill. I prefer it on any other citing tool. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 02:26, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, for all your help, because of you I came to know about all these tools and everything I needed, at last I want to thank you for all for your assistance and your avidity and ardour, however if you want my assistance or help in anything, you can ask me too. That might the last help I needed, thank you. Cheers. Tahaaleem Talk 09:45, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

- That's my pleasure. Thank you for the appreciation. Especially, I need your your help about Turkish language and articles. So, I ask that from you without any hesitance. However, I do have a question that it was probably the last help you needed. How or why? Are you quitting Wikipedia or anything else. You may answer this if you want. Checkout my new signature. I've just changed it's colour. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 10:27, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Your signature is very realistic, check out my first and current signature on here. My most favourite colour is black, however blue is my second favourite as you can see these colours are on my sign, and yes you can ask me the word of every Turkish word, even you can ask me the dates. I have no plan for quitting Wikipedia, but I might be inactive for next whole month, because of exams. Anyhow your signature is very astounding. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 14:13, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. My fav. colour is Blue. I have a question that PSL will start tomorrow. I support LQ and want that it should also win the final. Do you have any fav. team or you just like PSL irrespective of supporting any team? Best wishes for exams. Empire AS Talk! 01:48, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

- My fave team is LQ, this is my third consecutive year supporting them, however they constantly lost and never qualified, but this year there unanticipated rise made me staggered, and I want a clash between LQ vs KK in the final, but in my opinion, there should be more teams in PSL, it only comprises of six teams, there should be at least 8 teams. However, let's see if LQ qualifies for the final or not. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 05:25, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- PSL should contain 2 more teams i.e., 'Kashmir' and 'Gilgit-Baltistan' according to my opinion. I may not expect it soon. After LQ, I'm supporting MS. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 07:36, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Suggestion
Hi, hope you're fine. I was again here to suggest you something. Do you know on your Special:Log/Tahaaleem, you can see what you created, moved, thanked, reviewed and other things. I'll also suggest you to use Wikipedia:Service awards to demonstrate your experience in editing. Thank you.Empire AS Talk! 04:45, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, I knew about the Special:log from the day I joined, about special awards I also knew about but didn't had any idea that we can use it, as of now I have been registered for 8 months and have 4073 edits in total, so I may use this Journeyman Editor (or Grognard), cause the Yeoman editor requires the duration of one year and its edit requirement is 4000. Tahaaleem (talk) 05:05, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, I currently have apprentice, due to having 5 months old account. But my edits are near as of Veteran Editor II. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 05:30, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- However, can you tell me difference between two Turkish words. 'Alp' and 'Bey'. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 05:34, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, sure why not, the name Alp means hero, but in modern Turkey, many people use this as a short name, in early Ottoman Empire they used this term for warriors, and the word Bey means mister, like in Diriliş: Ertuğrul, they used the term Bey, for Ertuğrul, Turgut, because they belonged from respected noble family, as they weren't sultans, they had the title of Bey, it was used by Noble families, like Abkhazian noble families, it was used a courtesy title in Ottoman Empire and Egypt. Hope this helps, are you doing a Turkish article? Thank you. Tahaaleem (talk) 07:24, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, I'm not doing any Turkish article, as I don't understand it. However, I asked this question, as I watch Dirilis Ertugrul in Urdu. Whenever, I watch it with English subtitles, I see these two words mainly. And I was thinking that Alp means fighter while Bey means brother. However, thank you for eliminating my confusion. Empire AS Talk! 07:47, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, learning Turkish is bit complicated, it's quite difficult to learn, but editing articles made me learn Turkish even more, and I watch Turkish serials in Turkish, I watched Ertuğrul with English subtitles on Netflix, and Kardeş (Kardesh) means brother in Turkish. Like I can translate some sentences from English to Turkish. Thank you. Tahaaleem (talk) 07:54, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, Can you tell why are you learning Turkish if you want? If you don't, I might have no problem. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 08:09, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, I am learning Turkish because, I may visit Turkey next year hopefully, and because Turkish people prefer there own language, so they don't know English, only Turkish youth which varies until age 30, are experienced in English, but they know mostly basic words and sentences, and as I have to edit Turkish Wikipedia sometimes, so I learn Turkish to write articles. Thank you. Tahaaleem (talk) 08:18, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, That's good. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 08:22, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Suggestions
Hi, I came to know that you edit Wikipedia by using mobile phone. I'll suggest you to use one of these scripts
- mw.loader.load('//wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User:Þjarkur/NeverUseMobileVersion.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript'); or
- mw.loader.load('//wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User:Empire_AS/OnlyDesktop.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript'); . It presents Wikipedia as on laptop or computer. If you don't know how to use it, just add anyone of the above scripts to your common.js page, create User:Tahaaleem/common.js. Second is that if you want any of your subpage to be deleted, just add {{db-u1}} on them and an admin will delete that. Empire AS Talk! 10:42, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
@Empire AS: Thank you for your suggestion, I will try to use them in the future, but there is one thing to ask, how we use it, I don't know the way of having access to it. Tahaaleem (talk) 11:01, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, As I said, create this red link page User:Tahaaleem/common.js and copy one script from the above two, then paste that script into this page. All is done. Empire AS Talk! 11:26, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Empire AS, I made it and I can see it as a desktop version, for now I am not to used to the desktop, if I want to back to the mobile version, should I delete the script or the whole page. Tahaaleem (talk) 11:53, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, Instead of removing it, you may disable it by adding two slashes // before the script, if you want. Otherwise you may remove it too. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 12:04, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Empire AS, I made it and I can see it as a desktop version, for now I am not to used to the desktop, if I want to back to the mobile version, should I delete the script or the whole page. Tahaaleem (talk) 11:53, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS Thanks for suggesting the script, I will use it in future, and thanks you for your help, I really admire your enthusiasm, for now that’s all the help I needed, thank you again. You yourself used the mobile version first, then you used the script. Thank you again 😀. Tahaaleem (talk) 12:11, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, Yes, in beginning I used mobile web. But after that I installed script and started using it. Editing from mobile web is a bit complicated, therefore I use desktop site. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 12:15, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS I visited the page User:Empire AS/Articles to see the articles you made, I found a mistake there in number 16, the date is written 15 May 2010. That was just that I wanted to tell you.Thank you Tahaaleem (talk) 15:20, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, Thank you for letting me know. That was caused by mistake. Now, I've corrected it [1]. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 02:19, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, there is a question, are you having problem with your edit count, I mean my isn't updating from three days now, because the edits there are 3915, although now I have 4014 edits, are you having that problem too? Thanks Tahaaleem (talk) 05:55, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem, The xtools may often have a replication lag. Due to which, it shows less or more edits. The real edit count is that which is shown up in your Preferences. As I'm seeing, you've total 4015 edits, but there on xtools, you've nearly 3910 edits. It's all due to lag. So, don't worry about it. I'm also facing the same condition. But it isn't matter to be confused. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 06:34, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oh! I just noticed that. There's a problem in xtools that nearly happened 2 days ago. The same is happening everywhere. Due to this reason WP:NOE is also not being updated. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 14:01, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Empire AS, yeah I notice that too, but now it's updating deliberately, so it might take a lot time in updating, Thank you. Tahaaleem (talk) 20:21, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Coronavirus cases for Pakistan
Hello, Please do not update the number of cases in the overview box for 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan in the Statistics section. The cases for provinces or territory are to be changed only once daily after the NIH has published its report. The number is not the same as the govt. live tracker and you must not use the tracker as a source. Please refrain from making anymore edits under this section if you are unfamiliar with the rules of the page.If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Disambiguation link notification for February 1
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Murad IV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Plague (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You have added a short reference to "Ergin 2014" but no such source is listed in the bibliography. Can you please add? Also, suggest installing a script to highlight such errors in the future. Indentation
Hi, Tahaaleem, hope that you'd be fine. Recently, you made this edit. In this edit, you not only indented your own comment but also of another user. According to WP:INDENT, if we're replying to the first comment then we should indent using single colon and if to a comment that is indented 3 times, reply by indenting with 4 colons. Just by increasing a single colon than the previous comment you are replying to. Grags' indentation was right but you changed it mistakenly to correct the indentation. See User talk:Example. Moreover, others' comments shouldn't be edited without their permission. See WP:TPO. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 13:17, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
- Empire AS, thank you for elucidating me about indention. From now onwards, I would try to ask users, and I apologise for that behaviour, however you can call me by first name, I wouldn't have any problem. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 13:28, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

- Yes, I saw your work on DV and KT. But the most tiring work is to correct the squad table formats as I did on GG in 2020. I also may be inactive after 18 February. So, we should finish this as soon as possible. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 12:13, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- Empire AS, yes the squad table format consumes a lot of time, so therefore I have copied and pasted the table to correct on Pages, so when I would be done, I would add the squad table. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 12:22, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- That would be a great help. It takes a lot of time. After this, I think the nominations would be ready. Empire AS Talk! 12:28, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

New articles
Hello and happy spring. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather. Just wanted to say that I remember you asking me about creating an article on tr:Özge Yağız back in August 2020. I looked her up, as well as her co-star tr:Tolga Mendi. Both seem to be notable to some extent. If you base the article on reliable sources (which you usually do as you have created multiple articles of high quality) and try to include as much relevant (but not trivial) details as possible, then there's a very great chance that you could easily create articles for both actors; especially since there were pages created on Swedish Wikipedia about them recently. In any case, I just wanted to correct the misconception that I might have caused. And good luck with your school work! Keivan.fTalk 07:06, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- Keivan.f, thanks for informing about these articles, however I haven't been active on Wikipedia routinely liked I used to be, that's because I lost interest in Wikipedia, I edit frequent articles sometimes, but I will create these articles, after getting my interest back gradually. However, thank you for the information. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 17:04, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, so sad to hear that. We all get worn out sometimes and take occasional breaks to focus on our lives. I'm sure after spending some time away you'll be back more interested than before. In any case, enjoy your break and hopefully I'll see you again pretty soon. Keivan.fTalk 21:45, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
I’m making an article for Gaziler Sultanı Gidiyor (the episode of Kuruluş: Osman where Ertuğrul died), do you think you could help out with the 'reception' section, as it was covered a lot in Pakistan? IronManCap (talk) 17:27, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- IronManCap, Hi, hope you are doing fine, about the draft, I may help you with that, for it will have to find adequate sources by Geo News, The News International, The Nation etc, I will try to help you with that section if I can, anyways I want to thank you for expanding articles related to Diriliş: Ertuğrul and Kuruluş: Osman. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 18:08, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
I've created the article now btw, feel free to expand it if you want to. IronManCap (talk) 03:18, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for creating the article, I will try to expand the reception section and others of I can, but the reception section, clearly have all the references that I found, and these are the only adequate sources by the Pakistani News channels, anyways if I found other references I will try to expand the article, if I can. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 07:26, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi
Hope you're fine. I'm still not sure that whether the exams would be held after 15 June or there would be another delay in them. Seeing the current situation of COVID-19, there are high chances of them to be postponed again. The educational institutions have been closed again after seeing the terrible situation of virus in neighbouring country. I think it's fine to either cancel them or just take them after 15 June. The weather is becoming hot and further delaying exams isn't a good idea at all. What do you think? Thank you. 37.111.136.187 (talk) 16:55, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- 37.111.136.187, Hi hope you're fine, the virus is getting deadlier and extreme day by day, and specially in Punjab, last week educational institutions were opened in Sialkot District, but after only two days, the institutions again closed as per directive of Punjab Government, however I agree with you that the exams should be cancelled, because the weather in June is unbearable, and it would be strenuous to take exams during that month. It would be a likely chance that they might open after Eid-ul-Fitr. I don't even think it's a pertinent choice to conduct exams during June, because the weather is unbearable, and extremely hot af, I think all of them should be cancelled, but O-Level exams are cancelled but A2 students will still have exams, let's hope for positive news in the future. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 21:23, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- IPs can't be pinged. Although the institutions have been closed but the cases aren't decreasing. It would be hard to concentrate on studies if the exams are further postponed. However, the educational minister has clearly refused to promote anyone this year. I don't think that institutions would be opened after Eid, after seeing the current situation. On the other hand, PSL is going to resume in June but again might be delayed due to the virus. If it is held in June there might be ascending cases. 37.111.139.134 (talk) 07:18, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- I strongly agree that if PSL is held in June, the cases might surge uncountably, about the exams, if they get furthered delayed that will be hard to concentrate on studies, Shafqat Mehmood hasn't agreed on promoting anyone, our exams are supposed to be held from 7 to 18 June, but even after the directive of Shafqat Mehmood, they are still gonna conduct the exams physically, the chances of opening of educational institutions is 50%, but seeing the current situation, the cases might surge, but let's see what happens in the future for us students. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 07:52, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- The educational institutions were closed too late due to which the cases are increasing day by day. They should have closed them earlier. Let's see what happens. Happy Ramadan. Good Bye. 202.69.11.230 (talk) 10:46, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

MCU taskforce
Hi Tahaaleem, hope you're fine, just letting you know there is a new MCU taskforce at WP:MCU you may be interested in. IronManCap (talk) 18:03, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- IronManCap, hope you would be fine, thank you for showing me this task force, I would be glad to help this task force by editing articles related to it, but currently I am a little bit busy due to exams, so I won't be active on Wikipedia much often, once my exams cease, I would start working on this task force, but you're an amazing contributor to this project, you have mostly created comprehensive articles, but I will try fix some mistakes if the pages contain any. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 18:08, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi
Hi, Tahaaleem, hope you are well. I wanted to ask you that did you watch PSL? LQ lost again even this time. Although they were on the top in the beginning but still lost the last matches. Their performance was too bad. If LQ plays well, PSL is got postponed, unfortunately. On the other hand, our exams are finally going to be held in July and will be finished before August. The session became too longer. 3 exams were cancelled too. Something less to ✍️. What about your exams? Did you finish them? Thank you. 37.111.130.131 (talk) 08:39, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, hope you'll be fine, about your question, yes I watched PSL, I thought Lahore would reach into the final, but whenever we praise them for their performance, in the next match, they always have to lose the match, honestly I thought they might be able to reach to the final, and I was really hyped about it, as soon as LQ eliminated from the tournament, my attention was directed towards UEFA Euro 2020, although I had been interested in football competitions for a long time. Well, what an unfortunate turn of events that they lost, now Multan will compete against either Peshawar or Islamabad. About your second question, my exams are going to be ceased tomorrow, and we'll have holidays (I'll be promoted to O-Levels). Also, your birthday was supposed to be on last Tuesday, wishing you belated birthday. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 10:19, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- LQ has played well in 2 out of 6 seasons but both times the event delayed, unfortunately. I'm supporting neither MS nor PZ. What about you? Good luck for your finished exams' result. My exams would cease on 27 July. Thank you for the wish. I didn't know that you still remember that. Anyhow, I also wish you HBD in advance (if I couldn't wish you on 29 June). Besides this, there's a good news. Engin Altan's new historical series will be premiered soon. See trailer. Cengiz Coskun and Nurettin Sonmez are also working with Pakistani J. brand (see here). Both appear to be amazing. Thank you. 37.111.139.192 (talk) 08:52, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- That's an unfortunate truth, that whenever LQ is performing well, the event has to delay. Tbh, ever since LQ eliminated, I stop supporting other teams, and I am on neither side for the final. I don't really care whoever wins, because I am currently watching Euros. The government should have realised that it's really inadequate to conduct exams during July, because the weather during that time is unbearable and more sweaty. Well, I remember your bday because I remember things well lol, and thanks for the wish. Yeah, I have heard about the series, and I am really hyped about it. Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 10:41, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- We've nothing to do except to wait for PSL 7. I'm happy that anyhow exams are going to be held, finally. Thank you. Goodbye. 37.111.136.25 (talk) 09:02, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
Happy Birthday!

- Hi, Thank you very much for the wish, I really appreciate it, despite being blocked, you considered to wish me. I hope you'll score well in exams. All the best! Thank you. Tahaaleem Talk 13:52, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. I had nearly forgot to wish you but suddenly it flashed through my mind. See you after exams. 37.111.139.118 (talk) 14:24, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
- Lol, it's alright, it's a common situation, that you have enough knowledge about a specific thing, but when the time comes for it, you always forget and by the time that thing is about to finish, your knowledge bounces back to you, situation in exams. Though, I really appreciate that you considered to wish me. Also, government would have considered to take exams during 10–20 June, because that time, the weather wasn't really hot as compared to these days. Good Luck! Regards. Dungannon Dates
Hi Tahaaleem, I'm pretty new to this so I have a few questions about your edit,
Why do you need to change the month on the "Use dmy dates" template when you make an edit?
Do you really need to apply this to citations when Wikipedia will automatically format them correctly when displaying them in the references section? I had written the access and publish dates as yyyy-mm-dd which I thought was fine since when you view the page they are changed to dd-mm-yyyy automatically anyway.
Could you explain these to me and help me understand please, thanks. Mesidast (talk) 12:30, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Mesidast, Hope you would be fine, about your question that why we need to change the month, well it's because it's a script, if you use this script you can convert the dates into DMY and MDY, you have to download this script on your common.js: importScript('User:Ohconfucius/script/MOSNUM dates.js');. The script only work on desktop mode, you can't access to it through mobile mode. If you use the script you can convert the dates into the format of your respective country, e.g if you're editing articles related to England, Scotland, France etc, you'll have to use DMY dates, and if editing related to U.S, you'll have to use MDY, for knowing more visit Date formats by country. The script automatically converts the dates and changes the month. Hope you understood. Cheers. Tahaaleem Talk 13:19, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Tahaaleem ahh ok yeah that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me and showing me that you can even get scripts like that. Cheers, Mesidast (talk) 17:47, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Mesidast, no worries, if you need help with anything else on Wikipedia, you can ask me, I'll see if I'll be able to clarify your questions, and if you want to disable the script you have to use "//" to disable it. Cheers. Tahaaleem Talk 19:55, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello Tahaaleem, The page that has been created by me is being attempted to be deleted by new user on English Wikipedia for some reasons. The article was already reviewed by confirmed users and enriched with information that is backed up with reliable sources. Nonetheless now it is under a speedy deletion note.
