Welcome

[edit]

Hello, TMBLover, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Admiral Norton (talk) 19:39, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Plano Mall, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Plano Mall. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  --Joshua Scott (LiberalFascist) 04:57, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Wallace Avenue Studios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sandiego

[edit]

I do not think we need separate articles for each season and especially not on mal-formed titles so I have merged your stuff into List of episodes of Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego?. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:47, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of episodes of Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego? has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:51, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Westfield Garden State Plaza

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Westfield Garden State Plaza, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished synthesis of previously published material. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 05:17, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability, Sourcing and Trivia

[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced original research to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Paramus Park. As I informed you above, this is a violation of Wikipedia's policies on Verifiability and Original Research.

This also applies to pop culture references in works of fiction, in regards to your edit to A Hero Sits Next Door. Where cultural references in works of satire or parody are concerned, secondary sources are needed to emphasize such things. Listing every single pop culture reference in satirical works like Family Guy or South Park is merely trivia, and per the WP:TRIVIA guideline, mentioning such minutiae should be avoided. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 02:35, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you violate Wikipedia's No Original Research, Verifiability or Reliable Sources policies by adding unsourced material to articles, as you did with this edit to Paramus Park, you will be blocked from editing. Nightscream (talk) 19:48, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adding incorrect information to articles

[edit]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding incorrect content, as you did to List of Ottawa Senators seasons, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. See the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia constructively. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources to ensure your content is factual, please take this opportunity to try again and add references to the article. Thank you. Sponsors / Funding

[edit]

Hi, content about TV show sponsors/funding like the stuff you added here, isn't encyclopedic and comes off as an advertisement. We don't, for example, list the various companies that sponsored Seinfeld, so by extension there's no clear reason why we would care about that information for this series. Your draft article, Draft:Be Like Buddy

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Onel5969 TT me 13:50, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nonencyclopedic and unsourced episode mentions

[edit]

These edits adding details about a mention of the township in an episode of a TV series are hardly encyclopedic and the lack of sources only exacerbates the matter. Alansohn (talk) 19:50, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shopping malls in New Jersey, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Target and Century 21. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article JumpStart Toddlers is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Thanks for creating Easton Tower, TMBLover!

Wikipedia editor Blythwood just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Looks OK. I've added two more sources and changed the intro to define the location and who Easton was a bit more clearly. A picture would be nice, but I've looked on Flickr and all the ones available are copyrighted - if you have one it would be great!

Sports World and Humdingers in Paramus

[edit]

This edit reinserted information regarding Sports World and Humdingers into the article for Paramus, New Jersey. I remember Sports World well and it doesn't merit inclusion in a place like Paramus, New Jersey that is filled with notable, encyclopedic content about businesses. Humdingers is even less worthy of inclusion. Please make the case at the talk page and don't reinsert without meaningful consensus that it belongs in the article. Speedy deletion nomination of Huck Finn's Playland

[edit]

Hello TMBLover,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Huck Finn's Playland for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Speedy deletion nomination of Huck Finn's Playland

[edit]

Hello TMBLover,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Huck Finn's Playland for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Ways to improve Huck Finn's Playland

[edit]

Hi, I'm John from Idegon. TMBLover, thanks for creating Huck Finn's Playland!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi. I wanted to let you know the speedy deletion tag has been removed from Huck Finn's Playground, but the article is still possibly subject to other deletion processes. Please understand that Wikipedia is not a place where you can write about what you know. Every single fact in an article must be paraphrased from and citable to an already published source. Please add some sources at your earliest convenience to avoid deletion. Thanks.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

John from Idegon (talk) 18:24, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Huck Finn's Playland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not pass GNG or WP:CORPDEPTH.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Northvale, New Jersey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CVS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on File:The exterior of Regal Cinemas at The Shops at Nanuet.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Uncited material

[edit]

Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as this violates Wikipedia's Verifiability policy. I know you don't edit here as often as some other editors have, but you've been editing since 2009, and have accumulated over 3,000 edits in that time, so by now, I'm sure you must know that Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. I notice that in the past week alone you've added uncited material to dozens of articles, as indicated by your Contributions history, samples of which include the following:

I assume that you edit because like other editors, you want to help contribute the site, so I hope you don't think I'm being too hard on you, but please do not continue this practice. Doing this makes Wikipedia less verifiable for the reader. Going forward, please do not add material unless it is accompanied by inline citations of reliable sources.

Also, sites w/ user-generated info like Patch Media, are not considered reliable under WP:USERG. I say this because I notice that a couple of times you added citations of stories published by that service.

If you ever have any other questions, or need help, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 05:56, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with File:Lobby of Disney All Star Music Hotel.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Lobby of Disney All Star Music Hotel.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:57, 27 January 2019 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, TMBLover. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Lights and Sirens parade".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:46, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Wishbone Activity Zone, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 00:28, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:12, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You were blocked earlier in the year for adding unsourced content. Why have you chosen to create a completely unsourced article? You are likely to be re-blocked if you are not careful. The Mirror Cracked (talk) 02:36, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced content

[edit]

I see you were unblocked because you said you would be more careful about sourcing. Stop adding unsourced content, and don't cite obviously unreliable sources, such as user-generated content (Wikia, IMDb, etc). NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:58, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
The article has been assessed as Start-Class, which is recorded on the article's talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. If your account is more than four days old and you have made at least 10 edits you can create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

File permission problem with File:Bobby Rydell Mural.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bobby Rydell Mural.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --TheImaCow (talk) 08:11, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Paramus Park

[edit]

Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with this edit to Paramus Park. As I've mentioned to you numerous times since at least 2011, Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. By now, you've accumulated over 6,700 edits on Wikipedia since 2009, so you should be well-aware of the site's policies. Please stop violating them. Nightscream (talk) 14:39, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Nick or Treat! has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced programming block

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
