Historical Irish Guards Regiment

I also know nothing about the subject, I created the article because someone kept dumping loads of irrelevant material into Irish Guards, a relatively recently formed regiment, and I wanted to give him a place to play without bothering all of us editing that topic. Thanks

Hello, THB. Thanks for cleaning up various things in the Transcendental Meditation article. TimidGuy 14:52, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations!!!!

I saw you have been tagging hi-res fair use images as copyvio. I'm really glad seeing you taking such actions, and thus helping wikipedia avoid liability and legal problems. Keep on that hard work!! -- Drini 22:37, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Copied from my Talk page: I think you misunderstand Wikipedia:Categorization. Categories collect articles about like subjects together; Virginia Commonwealth University is like New York University, and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (if it existed) would be like New York University School of Medicine, but Virginia Commonwealth University is not analogous to New York University School of Medicine. Exactly the same distinction is made for Category:Dental schools, Category:Journalism schools, Category:Hospitality Schools, and on down the line. To impart a characteristic on the parent would be to place France in Category:Caribbean countries on account of Martinique. -choster 16:45, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

  • With regard to marking edits as minor, I made little or no changes to the content of the articles. The character of the article is not fundamentally changed by changing its categorization, so I have always marked edits which change only categories as minor.-choster 16:46, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Moving pages

Hello! You recently performed a copy-and-paste move of Museum at Ahmedabad to Sanskar Kendra; I've now fixed it. Pages should be moved with the move feature; copy-and-paste moves destroy the edit histories of pages and violate the GFDL. For more information, see the page move how-to. If you have any questions, you're welcome to ask them at my Talk page or the help desk. Happy editing! --Slowking Man 07:39, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

The category was deleted per CFD Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 19:03, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

reguarding them being cat-less my bot does not handle that. My bot is just following WP:CFD in accordance of empty/renameing. you might want to see Special:Uncategorizedpages for all pages with out cats and please leave your responce on my talk page as I see it faster Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 19:54, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

TMSF

You are probably right about where I should be inserting the reference to the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund. Groan I guess I need to go back to the ones I've already done. Thanks for the head's up. Tlmclain 15:18, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

It is on the discussion page

And it is not properly sourced. I have had it on the discussion page for about a month. The edit war is from someone stalking me. Please take a look. Thanks Jasper23 02:31, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey THB

Yeah, sorry about the 3rr. I just realized I did it but a user has been reverting all of my edits and its hard not to revert the reverts. However, until the "cracker" reference is cited by a news source I find it hard to put into the article. I (like all of the news media) believe that he said "tracker". Until one or the other has been put into a verifiable source the cite is too flimsy to put against a living person. I hope my argument makes sense to you because I believe very strongly in not slandering people without verifiable proof. I also do apologize if my comments have been a little strong or if I haven't been as courteous as I usually am. Cheers. Jasper23 02:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

From google-news: Sean Hannity personally apologized to Harold Ford, Jr. live on the air. CNN also retracted its use of the word "cracker." Find a legitimate news source on the topic and it will tell you a whole lot more than youtube. Jasper23 02:43, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Nursing COTM

Hi, As it's almost the end of October should we select another article as "collaboration of the month" or should we leave it for another month as we (as yet) have few members?— Rod talk 19:25, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

OK I've just had a look at Category:Nursing stubs & a lot are about a person or may be considered country specific - how about something like Bandage or Dressing (medical)?— Rod talk 19:38, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
If no one else comes up with suggestion by this time tomorrow I'll make it International Nurses Day or Nursing assessment.— Rod talk 20:10, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Nursing COTM for November

Hi, Thanks for signing up as a member of the Nursing Wikiproject. The Nursing Collaboration of the Month for November is Nursing assessment. This article is currently a stub and needs major improvement - perhaps we can make it suitable to feature on the Nursing Portal, please take a look and see if you can improve it. If you have suggestions for other nursing related articles which should be chosen as Collaboration of the Month please add them to the project page. — Rod talk 17:41, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

COTM box & template

I noticed you've changed the COTM box on the Nursing Portal again to the specific article Nursing assessment, rather than leaving it as {{nursing article}} - the idea of having it as this template is that the box can be displayed anywhere (eg my user page & hopefully lots more in future) & then you only need to change Template:Nursing article & the change will show up wherever rather than editing evry page. — Rod talk 20:11, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure I do understand it yet - the one I used as a template to create the box is Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/cotm which can then be inserted into anypage using {{Wikipedia:WikiProject_UK_geography/cotm}} but I obviously haven't got it right yet - I will play with it & see if I can sort it or I'llask for some help.— Rod talk 20:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
the UK geo template has a space in it as well - still playing - I think it may be related to class="UKCOTW" in the top line— Rod talk 20:43, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
try adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Nursing/cotm}} to any page(eg your userpage) & see what you think - the edit function doesn't work but it's easier to insert & I will fiddle with the edit function later.— Rod talk 21:06, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
