Ebenezer Onyeagwu moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition the subject is in question of notability. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hello, I'm Throast. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Ryan Kavanaugh, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Throast (talk | contribs) 14:09, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Throast, you claims are wrong. I made edits per wikipedia guidelines and used reliable sources which you reverted. Swankeyy (talk) 14:12, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The information you added regarding Jack Kavanaugh does not reflect the sources you provided. Other concerns have been articulated here. Instead of edit warring, you can start a discussion at the article talk page. Throast (talk | contribs) 14:17, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring behavior at Ryan Kavanaugh Hello, you currently seem to be involved in an edit war at the Ryan Kavanaugh article. I've provided a reason for my intial revert and per WP:BLPUNDEL, the burden now is on you to demonstrate that your edit is in line with Wikipedia, and specifically BLP, policies. Thank you. Throast (talk | contribs) 14:16, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Swankeyy, I would like to remind you about WP:BLPUNDEL. Please note that you should get consensus to add contentious (contentious by it's nature if removed) material back into the article. While I see you did attempt to discuss it on Throast's talk page; consensus should be obtained before making the edit. In regards to the actual edit, per WP:RSP: Rotten Tomatoes is considered generally reliable for its review aggregation and its news articles on film and TV. Not for its pages on celebrities. Pabsoluterince (talk) 03:53, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pabsoluterince: Rotten Tomatoes is a reliable source as you have confirmed, also the same day, month and year is included on his IMDb here, I don't understand why you should have it deleted when there are multiple sources stating similar information. I read alot about Wikipedia guidelines and I have ensured all my contributions are in line with that. Can you show me any other reliable source that shows a different date of birth. Throast quoted BFI, going by your comment on Rotten Tomatoes can BFI be used as a source here? Swankeyy (talk) 07:42, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Some sources are reliable for certain information but not necessarily for all, as Pabsoluterince explained to you. DOBs are personal info that should be treated with extra care when it comes to sourcing. I would not use BFI as a source for DOBs either, I was just bringing it up to demonstrate that Kavanaugh's DOB is in fact disputed. That being said, I believe the current solution at the article remains the best until his DOB is published by a source that is clearly reliable for DOBs. Throast (talk | contribs) 08:03, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your concerns on DOB being treated with extra care, this article from Yahoo mentions his age as 47 years and California as his place of birth, the article was published on January 26, 2022.Swankeyy (talk) 08:08, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you would like to discuss this further, I recommend you open a new thread at Talk:Ryan Kavanaugh. Throast (talk | contribs) 09:31, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 154.120.80.132. Tried to edit and got this message. Swankeyy (talk) 15:54, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That IP is indeed a P2P proxy. You will need to turn this off, clear your browser cache, and wait 24 hours to edit. Or, seeing that you edited successfully a few days ago, return to wherever you were when you made those edits. If you have need to use a proxy to edit, please request an IP block exemption per these instructions. 331dot (talk) 17:15, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Sockpuppetry warning

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Swankeyy, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Celestina007 (talk) 21:39, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Celestina007, kindly explain when you mean editing pattern? I have only made a total edits of 50+, I am just here to contribute. I don't have any other account asides this and no I am not coordinating with any other persons. Swankeyy (talk) 08:57, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No one has expressly said you engage in sock or meat puppetry, the message left on your TP was done using the agf-sock waring template. Edit pattern refers to how you edit, I believe the definition is self explanatory. If you refute this then fine. Having said I’d like to reiterate that your edit pattern is in utmost variance with your claim but by all means if you do not engage in socking keep it up. Time would tell.
