{{helpme}}

Hi, I have removed your {{helpme}} tag for now as it doesn't seem that you need help, when you do please feel free to add it back on again, with information about what you need help on. Thanks! The Helpful One (Talk) (Contributions) (Review Me!) 19:27, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Suyog.ogg

Thanks for uploading Image:Suyog.ogg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Traffic Cops.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:52, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome

नमस्कार सुयोगजी,

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

I see that you are interested in DRDO and Military Technology. Thats great news. There are a few of us who are regular editors to these pages, and we can really use all the help we can get. If you need any help or have questions, please feel free to ask me or any of the other editors and admins on Wikipedia. We're always ready to help.

Coming to the Bharat-Rakshak point, you made a very valid point about trusting only official sources. That is something that I've realized, and something that most editors try to do, especially when it relates to Indian defence. However, many times, that is not possible, or might be easier to get from BR, which cites all its sources, and uses reliable sources, and official sources, wherever possible. In those cases, I usually look to see if the information has been sourced, and if so, where from.

Good to see you on Wikipedia. आपसे मिलकर मुझे खुशी हुई। अगर आपको कुछ तखलीफ हुई तो मेरा सहायता पूछने में संकोच न करेँ। धन्यवाद।

Again, welcome! T/@Sniperz11editssign 12:52, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

DRDO Labs

Thanks a ton for the offer... I'd love any and all help you can give. It would really help a lot. The biggest problem is two-fold - finding information and verifying it as correct (a major problem if you read Indian defence news), and putting it into the page coherently (the DRDO page is an example of what it shouldn't be). Plus, pictures are always welcome. Thanks. If you need any help, please let me know. Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 17:29, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi suyog,

I saw the mumbai police page, and man, it does need a lot of work... I've added it to my watchlist, so i'll keep an eye on it from now on, as well as add info when I can.

Coming to the gallery, its no use adding a gallery to that page, not when there are no pictures. However, if you do want to add a gallery, either click on the gallery button on the toolbar on top of the edit box, and it will automatically add a gallery for you. All you'll have to do is add the images. Alternatively, you can type the following code:

<gallery>
Image:Example.jpg|Caption1
Image:Example.jpg|Caption2
</gallery>

and you'll get a gallery like this:

Hope that helps. I also suggest that you use a suitable infobox template such as Template:Infobox Police Department.

Tell me what type of a userbox u want and I'll try and create one, or help u out with it.

Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 19:25, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 11:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Lakshya

Hi, theres already a page for the Lakshya PTA. Check it out, and you can improve on it. cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 11:27, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Lakshya UAV Redirect

Thanks for creating it... theres no problem with creating Redirects - in fact, they're necessary to allow people to find the pages easily. You can also create redirects for other variations of the name, such as Lakshya Target Drone, Lakshya Pilotless Target Aircraft, etc. Also note that except for the first letter of the name, the rest of the name is case sensitive. Which means that Lakshya pta will not be the same as Lakshya PTA. So you'll have to create redirects by taking those also into account. Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 17:51, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Al changes that you make to wikipedia, even the smallest ones, and redirects are counted towards your edit count, and contributions. So dont worry. Secondly, dont worry too much about your edit count - keep working at improving wikipedia, and you'll automatically get recognized as a valuable editor. There are people with less than 1000 edits who are well-known as excellent editors, and there are a large number of editors with over 10000 edits who're working in anonymity. So keep at what you do and dont worry about numbers.
P.S. You can check out an analysis of your edits through different tools - I find Wannabe Kate's tool and Wikimedia Edit Counter to be the best. Wannabe Kate's is the better tool among the two.
Cheers
T/@Sniperz11editssign 16:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Dont worry about people thinking that you're out to increase ur count; the Lakshya edits are valid, and useful. Plus, there are a lot of ways to increase edit count, but this isnt one of them. Like I said, dont worry about what people may think or about your edit count. By my experience, neither one makes a big deal, especially when you make good edits without worrying about numbers or response. Another suggestion, use your watchlist well - its extremely useful. Second, try to give an edit summary for all ur edits. Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 17:04, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Sig

Looks great, but you'll have to add a link to ur userpage... right now, it doesnt display. I also suggest adding a link to ur talk page.. a small superscript T should do it. Second, I think it might look better if its not bolded. If not, its still great. T/@Sniperz11editssign 07:25, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Suyog, no need for html.... u can use wiki-syntax. [[ ]] for internal wikipedia links and [ ] for external links. For pages not in the main namespace, like Template: or User:, its the same, except that you'll have to put the namespace, like in User:Sniperz11.
I've made some tentative sigs for you.... check if its ok. If you like one, copy the code below it and put it onto your sig... You can also customize it as you wish. (The "talk" text links to your talk page).

Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 13:36, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

RE: police article

Hello there. The article is shaping up quite well as far as I can see. You may way to expand the lead (see WP:LEAD) and perhaps convert some of the lists to prose (see WP:MOS, which will also give you other style tips) and perhaps merge some of the small 1-2 sentence paragraphs into bigger paragraphs. These are only little suggestions obviously. Other general advice is to add more content, and more references from reliable sources and to request a peer review either at Wikipedia:Peer Review or at the peer review page of the law enforcement wikiproject. Hope that helps. SGGH speak! 12:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Mumbai Fire Brigade, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MfD and Mumbai Firefighting

Hi.

The MfD is due to the Users never left userbox which you added to your Category Userbox set... the tmeplate has been MfD'ed, which is why your page has been automatically added. dont worry about it... remove the userboxes, or leave them as is. Your page wont get deleted. If you're still worried, you can remove the userbox and see if the cat. is also removed.

As for the mumbai firefighting, I'll keep an eye out and try to fix some of the stuff.. I'm kinda busy nowadays, but I'll my best. btw, the best way to create a new page in relative calm is to create a user subpage like User:Suyogaerospace/Sandbox and start editing there. Get a basic page up there and then you can move it to the actual page... check out some of my subpages for an idea of how it works. Subpages also work well if you want to keep a lot of extra stuff that will not stay on wiki. proper.

btw, sign all your messages without fail. Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 11:59, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I replaced the relevant template with the updated one which doesnt feature the MfD tag.. . ur userpage is off MfD now. Take a look. Good luck with the Mumbai firefighting page. I can understand the lack of information... the best way is through the news. Try google news. Also search for the old open source govt and committee reports. I've tranlated and transliterated the motto. I have also removed the tags, and replaced them with a hangon tag,. stating that the article in the middle of a major improvement. I'll be working a bit on this page to improve it.. right now, I'm looking for news links and govt. reports. I'll put up the links on the page, or, even better, if you can create a sandbox page, I can add them there... its better that way, since we wouldn't have to worry about whether that gives any info or not.

The image tag is perfect, although you should give the exact link to the page where you got the image from, instead of just the main site. Cheers. T/@Sniperz11editssign 11:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Regarding User:Whpq concern.

You and me were confused that Whpq is trying to saying the Mumbai police logo is copyrighted material and should be deleted. Actually he is pointing out to a addition in article which was a copy-paste from Mumbai police website. check the diff. He is saying you can pick the information from the website but cannot do an exact copy-paste as it is copyright violation. --gppande «talk» 07:10, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Mumbai Police Cat removal

Hi Suyog,

The editor removed the categories because they were unneccessary. under the Wikipedia Manual of Style and category conventions, if an article has a few categories, and one of them is the subcategory of another, we remove the higher ranked one. For eg, in this article, Category:Law enforcement agencies of India is a sub-category of Category:Law enforcement in India, so there is no need to put Mumbai Police in the latter since it is already in it by virtue of being an article in one of its subcategories.

Which templates were you talking about in the talk page btw? Cheers. Sniperz11@CS 17:14, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Was the picture tagged fair use or was it CC-BY-SA 3.0? The image needs to be free available. Mostly images from newspaper are copyright material and cannot be used as per wikipedia policy. --gppande «talk» 11:29, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Agni-IV and V

It's confirmed that there will be no Agni-IV. Confirmed by none other than Agni programme director Avinash Chander. "There will not be an Agni-IV missile, with DRDO leapfrogging from intermediate range Agni-III to the almost ICBM-like Agni-V. "We have the capability to go for even longer ranges but it's for the political leadership to take a decision on such matters," said Chander.[1]

Chanakyathegreat (talk) 09:25, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

They will be testing a missile this year end. Which one? No one knows. If it is the Agni-III star so be it. But there is no Agni-IV according to DRDO. So no Agni-IV.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 13:47, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

See, we should not hold personal grudge against anyone. Pointing out one user and holding bias against him is not good. It only promotes WP:HATE. Lets not fall prey to such a bad thing. We are here to learn. Just another good learning... hope you like it. Read WP:LOVE too :-) Regarding the bot, give it 24 hours, it will run for sure and will do the job. I also faced similar problem and so had to take help from WP:HD. Just write note there and people working on the bot will check if there is any problem. Actually I know nothing of bots. Just read it, asked for help at WP:HD and got it set for myself. --gppande «talk» 14:49, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
