Jay H. Shidler's submission keeps getting rejected due to tone of the article and being neutral. I feel this article has been revised and edited substantially to make it more neutral, but you folks keep rejecting it. Philip Trager article has new references and authoritative quotations
Hi Sulfurboy, I've just finished my second revision of the article on photographer Philip Trager <<https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Philip_Trager>>. As requested, I have included four new references and added two new substantive quotations (plus references). This second revision revealed that I initially missed marking a few publication titles for italicization, so that has been remedied as well. I hope it will now pass muster and thank you (and your colleagues) for continuing to hone this brief biography. PeterPBGD (talk) 19:04, 25 October 2015 (UTC)PeterPBGD 10/25/2015
Sam McLean article has been edited to address concerns re: notability
Hi Sulfurboy. Thanks for the feedback re: the article on Sam McLean. I used to work for him so I focussed mostly on the GetUp work in the original draft. I have sought some more info on independent notability and added a section on his work outside getup including interviews with Julian Assange and work with Aaron Swartz etc and a book he published. I hope that's better? Thanks Blueriot57 (talk) 11:17, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'd like to help make this wikipedia page appropriate. I've read it through, and compared it to some referenced pages like ROS. To me, this page on Gazebo looks okay and matches well with other wikipedia articles on open source software.
So, I'm not sure what needs to be changed. Most of the referenced applications were not created by the Gazebo team. Only the DARPA Robotics Challenge application was created by the Gazebo team. All the work is open source, and the DARPA work was funded by the government for the benefit of the robotics community.
There are also a number of published articles about Gazebo that have been referenced in this article. Links to other open source related software are also provided.
Lastly, the organization that acts as the primary developer of Gazebo is an non-profit 501(c)(3) called the Open Source Robotics Foundation.
I could spend time to rewrite this article, but without a better understanding of the failing points I think the result would be very similar. Thanks for your help.

Do you mind reverting the rumored information you've added to this BLP subject's article? It is negative information, not currently sourced except to rumors, and doesn't belong there. To be clear, I would have simply reverted if I could - but it happens that I cannot, so I request that you do so. 209.211.131.181 (talk) 20:38, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- It's not just rumors. Multiple, credible sources are reporting it to be true waiting for the Today show interview to state it is superfluous. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:43, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Multiple sources are reporting that Sheen will make an announcement on the Today show (but so does the Today show). That announcement hasn't been made. Therefore, the contents of that announcement are not known - since it hasn't been made. - Did you actually read the sources I posted? Sulfurboy (talk) 21:02, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, and others. They are speculation and unattributed comments about what the announcement, which hasn't occurred yet, will be. Dr. Anthony Kenechukwu Offu
Dear Editor Sulfurboy,
Based on the re-submission of my Draft: "Article Biography" for professional Dr. Anthony Kenechukwu Offu.
I 've not heard from you, either from my wikipedia commons/sister of wikimedia.org/encyclopedia. i waited for two weeks & sent the same Draft:Draft: Article Biography which i finally learned wikipedia/encylopedia article formats & compliance standard inline with wiki's expectation.
Such issues which you made COMMENTS:Citations, Footnotes, Neutrality/Avoid clash of conflict of interest was well articulated managed by the writer.Your other COMMENTS were: Articles must reflect formal tone of expected of encyclopedia article & Entries must & view or perspective from Independent Published should reflect from "NEUTRAL POINT" which invariably i indicated earlier was well used nappropraitely in accordance with wiki's expectation of article live Biography-re-submitted.
My Dear Editor Sulfurboy, I tried my best to satisfy wiki's expectation standard article re-submission but it seemed more rigorous, being that this is my first time submitting an article Biography of my own very self, as i re-resubmitted couple of times.
Please, i will crave your indulgence to fixing this anomalies, knowing fully well the works; "you & your editorial team" have at hand resounds voluminous.
Please, once again, i need this Biography published at your editorial wiki's style & compliance expectations. I read your comments about 50,000 paper works-pages which needs other peoples attention. Paradoxically, please hear me out out on my side of interest & best trial i had already put to make this Article Biography a successful publication.
Thank you, looking forward for your convenience feedback, surprising publication of this re-submitted Draft, in question.

"Joe Anglim" WIki page deleted?
Hey Sulfurboy,
I recently created a Wikipage for "Joe Anglim", a 2-time Survivor contestant, which was deleted mysteriously. Do you know why the page was deleted entirely? I cannot believe that this TV personality, who has 44k Twitter followers, doesn't deserve a Wiki page.

Submission declined for Netop Remote Control
Hi Sulfurboy,
Some time ago you declined the submission of this article: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Draft:Netop_Remote_Control&redirect=no
I just want to point out that Netop Remote Control has been on the market for around 30 years and is one of the most widespread remote access tools in the world. Netop has millions of users and and cannot be regarded as not notable. Netop Remote Control is far more notable than most of the tools you can find on https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software!
Many IT magazines and IT related web pages have produced reviews and comparisons where Netop Remote Control has been regarded as one of the best remote access tools. So I should think that it is fair to say that Netop Remote Control can be listed among all the other tools for remote access.
I should be happy to do whatever I can to improve the article and have more people contribute and elevate its content.

New deal for page patrollers
Hi Sulfurboy,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
New Page Review needs your help
Hi Sulfurboy,
As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).
Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.
Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.
It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:Elander007

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User talk:Elander007, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. - its slogan "For heart, there is Lazne Podebrady" is universally known in czech republic
- i can find something in NY Times archive, but I don't have access, so don't know what this article is about exactly http://www.nytimes.com/1959/03/01/archives/czechoslovakia-land-of-spas-country-has-fiftytwo-including-carlsbad.html
I would love to expand this article and include more informations, but I find it hard for me to explain relevancy of Lazne Podebrady.
If there are books and scholar articles and mentions in articles such as you state, then they need to be incorporated. The three references you have are not enough. If it has had famous patients or that slogan is really known in the czech republic, then find articles that state that and mention that. If you can't access the nytime article, maybe ask the teahouse for assistance (a link to their page can be found on your userpage).
Feel free to let me know when you have made some improvements or want me to check on it again. Sulfurboy (talk) 17:55, 24 August 2017 (UTC)

I think it was extreme to delete all of my article when one specific paragraph was at issue. I did fill in a form asking to reconsider the speedy deletion. That aside, I have revised the Reviews section and saved it elsewhere than Wikipedia. How do I go about submitting it again? --Prairieplant (talk) 21:46, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

- An entire large paragraph was verbatim copy and pasted. There's no excuse for that and my actions were warranted. Sulfurboy (talk) 23:37, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you!
The submission form said the review would take 3 weeks! You are the bomb! I will make edits and resubmit in a few weeks. Have a great weekend! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcy.Hainsworth (talk • contribs) 02:31, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
About Draft:Paul Trynka
Hi Sulfurboy, and thank you for your message about this draft article.
I must admit that I am somewhat perplexed as to why this draft article submission was declined. A quick google search yields two works by this writer that have been reviewed by the The New York Times:
Both of these would meet the Wikipedia:Notability (books) criteria for inclusion as stand-alone articles. (I could start articles about these books, but I have a personal policy only to start Wikipedia articles about books I have actually read.)
I also note that the English language Wikipedia internal search term search=Paul+Trynka yields more than 50 results.
I agree that I may not have explicitly demonstrated the notability of the subject, and instead relied on an some implication that readers of Wikipedia will look at its references for its reliability. I will edit the draft article, and re-submit it.
Thank you again, --Shirt58 (talk) 09:30, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
19:54:25, 26 August 2017 review of submission by Sherrie DeMorrow
With regard to the Sherrie DeMorrow article which I submitted....THERE IS NO OUTSIDE INDEPENDENT REFERENCES COS I WROTE THE BOOKS THEMSELVES!!!!
HOW ELSE CAN I PROMOTE THIS IF I AM UNABLE TO PUBLISH A LEGITIMATE ARTICLE REGARDING SOMETHING I WROTE **MYSELF**!!
I cannot think of anything further. How does one delete the article, if it is unacceptable by YOUR harsh standards?
Thank you
- The "harsh" standards aren't my own. They are Wikipedias. If there is not verifiable, and substantial third party coverage of the subject, then it is simply not notable. If you wish to delete the page you can let me know here or just simply edit and delete everything on the page. Sulfurboy (talk) 23:53, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for moving my draft to article space. Your hard work is highly appreciated. I know it was because of me, but main reason was that I was fearing that AfC is backlogged, so may not my request be reviewed at the end. But Thanks for ending my fear . SahabAliwadia 09:13, 27 August 2017 (UTC) |
Shatterhand
Hi, re this move from Drafts to mainspace, there seems to be a bit of confusion and a plethora of articles and Drafts on the smarmy subject! I've moved it back to Drafts for now. Further details are on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bond 25 (a mirror article). Draft:Bond 25 also exists (and pre-dates the Shatterhand draft) on exactly the same subject. All a bit of a mess, and I'm not sure which of the three articles we'll end up with in the end. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 06:15, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I assumed that it must have already been written about, but I couldn't find it, I'm glad you were able to. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:08, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
Armand Marsick
I do not understand the rejection on notability. Marsick is in several major reference works such as Baker's Biographical Dictionary of Musicians, has a lengthy (strange) article in Wikipedia France, was a major figure in the early 20th century as a teacher and conductor, founder of the conservatory of music in Bilbao, and has several recordings of his music. Keyton (talk) 15:01, 30 August 2017 (UTC) Keyton
- The entry in that dictionary alone is not enough to show notability. I would recommend using some of the references in the french article to show notability. Thanks. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:10, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

My Silent Bravery Submission 8/30
Hi Sulfurboy,
Thanks for your suggestion on My Silent Bravery. I removed the external links as requested, could you look over the article and provide any more feedback?
Thanks! 375mon (talk) 13:29, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- I just was cleaning it up and leaving a suggestion for improvement. I did not review the article itself as I decided to leave it for a reviewer more familiar with the music side of stuff. Please note the review process is highly backlogged so please be patient. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:12, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
Rejecting the article Catherine, One love is enough
Hello Sulfurboy, You have rejected my new article here https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Laramie1960/Catherine:_One_Love_is_Enough#Catherine:_One_Love_is_Enough I am very much surprised because I have carefully studied the French version here : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Il_suffit_d%27un_amour just as is suggested on the help pages we should if it is the first time we create an article. I have not copied anything because I know these books better than anyone else, be that in English or in French, German or Italian. I added more than the creator or creators of the French sister page. It was me who added as many information on this page here https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Catherine_(1986_TV_series) because I got my sources from the author Juliette Benzoni (1920 - 2016) herself. She was a personal friend of mine. Could you please explain to me why that page in French got away with not giving all the information you accuse me of not having added. It just cannot be that not all pages are treated the same. Looking forward to you answer. Friendly Laramie1960 (talk) 21:50, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- All pages are treated the same. I cannot speak to the state or reasoning behind the French article, as I do not speak French, nor do I edit the French wikipedia in anyway. The article needs third party sourcing to show notability of the subject, otherwise it will not be accepted. Thanks. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:34, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer granted
Hello Sulfurboy. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Alex ShihTalk 15:06, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
I have unreviewed a page you curated
Thanks for reviewing Maraal, Sulfurboy.
Unfortunately TonyBallioni has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:
This was previously deleted at AFD as a potential hoax and none of the references mention it by the claimed name. Unreviewing to prevent indexing and will look more into it later today.
To reply, leave a comment on TonyBallioni's talk page.

The draft was rejected due to the improper referencing.

Measuring with a different yardstick...
Dear Sulfurboy, I am sorry for not agreeing with you, because your sentence "all pages are treated the same" is simply not true. I am sure you did not have the time to go to my link and have a look at the French article. For that, you do not have to speak French. The case is clear, that page as many others I have watched over the last three weeks, got away with not properly giving sources. I am very much suprised about that and also disappointed, I thought Wikipedia worked hand in hand, and rules are for all countries the same. However, from your point of view you, about missing sources on my article you are absolutely right. Yet so am I, the French article is not new and I assumed that is the correct way to do it. I shall give my best now to fill in all the missing sources. Have a nice day. Laramie1960 (talk) 08:04, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not going to have any idea which article you're talking about unless you link it. Sulfurboy (talk) 19:33, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Draft submissions re Nepal Monuments
Just a heads up: There is a little issue due to the number of lists involved and their connection to the ongoing WLM contest. They should all be moved at the same time once ready, maybe even wait until after September so as not to break anything for the WLM organisation. Agathoclea (talk) 15:49, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'll just stay out of the way, thanks for the heads up.Sulfurboy (talk) 19:34, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Page Issues
Hi, yesterday you approved https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simonetta_Lein Today it shows page issues-we received a image copyright request and the photographer already sent the release. Regarding the promotional allusions, as you approved it you may have noticed it was done strictly naming facts backed by so many sources, many of them from very high profile magazines. Please review and help fixing the page issues. Facts are facts, not promotions and we looked at other similar pages and done it in the same exact way but those pages have no page issues whatsoever. If a person have so many sources those are just stating the facts of what this person does and it is not personal opinion. Putela (talk) 01:47, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- I was not the editor who put those tags on your page, I would recommend talking to them about any concerns you have. Sulfurboy (talk) 02:40, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you though I don't know who I should contact as the name is not displayed. If who put the tags don't remove them the page will be not fixed? Thx Putela (talk) 05:57, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- You can look at the view history tab to view all edits. The tags will be removed when the concerns have been addressed.Sulfurboy (talk) 06:14, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Also the Wikipedia guidelines say that any editor can remove the tag. Please read again the page, there is absolutely nothing if not facts, tonight some ulterior minor edits were made. Again other similar pages are written in the same way so there is no conflict of interest, only facts. Please let me know as I would like to solve this. Putela (talk) 06:26, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- As I've already stated, I didn't add the tags. You need to speak with the person who had them. What goes on or happens on other pages doesn't make a difference on what needs to be fixed on the page in question. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:27, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
I understand you did not add the tags-Wikipedia's rules say though that any editor can remove the tags after a couple of days if no one writes any comments about those tags. What I am asking is to please review the tags, check the page and see for yourself that everything states facts and that a third party wrote it - the editor who wrote that tag cannot prove the contrary. Anyone can write anything, if it were true points that is another story, but this seems done out of spite as there is no evidence rather than the page was written accordingly to Wikipedia's guidelines and there are so many sources about every fact stated. I appreciate your help and your time. Putela (talk) 17:52, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- Again, I'm not sure why you are insisting I get involved in this as I did not place the tag. If you have issue with the tag then you should discuss it on the articles talk page or talk to the editor who posted them. Sulfurboy (talk) 19:32, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Because you are kind and reply , also I don't see in the history who put the tag and as said Wikipedia states that any editor can take the tag out so you too if that editor decides so. Putela (talk) 19:57, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- The person who added the tags is User: Cordless Larry, again, I can't emphasize this enough, you need to discuss the issue on the pages talk page. Sulfurboy (talk) 20:01, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- I will post an explanation for the tags at Talk:Simonetta Lein, Putela. Thanks for the ping, Sulfurboy. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:39, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Stub sorting
Please don't use the {{Stub}} tag if you can find a more specific stub tag; stub sort whenever you are able. To do otherwise will backlog Category:Stubs. Thank you. (I realize some people aren't able to stub sort very well due to issues surrounding memory or feeling overwhelmed by the unfortunately long list of stub types; sorry if you're one of them.). -- I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message (talk to me) (My edits) @ 07:19, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
- Sounds good. It's been a couple years since I've done WP:NPP, back then it seems we typically left it to others who were more qualified in stub sorting to come behind and pick good ones, but if that's backlogged, I'll try to become more familiar with the stub sorting process.
