He is commonly referred to as the father of Pentecostal movement in East Africa and beyond. This is attributed to his passion for the gospel of Christ Jesus and his tagline "Back to Pentecost at any cost". During the early years of 1957 Pentecostal practices such as speaking in tongues, healing the sick and evangelism were very rare in the local churches, he emphasized on this by preaching the gospel of Christ with signs and wonders confirming the word being preached.
