Stan S. Katz (talk) 06:20, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Please help me with... Hello, I contributed content to two pages. I have studied and written about Colonel Sidney Mashbir and Prince Iesato Tokugawa for sixteen years. Both my contributions were reverted by someone who has no specialty in World War Two history or in Japanese History. The personal papers of Colonel Mashbir were acquired by me sixteen years ago, leading to insights not available before. I don't feel it is fair that my two posts were reverted. My website TheEmperorAndTheSpy.com contains a three hundred page fully documented Illustrated Timeline Gallery with documents and photos from the library of an American spy, Colonel Mashbir, that has never been revealed before. Mashbir allied with Prince Tokugawa and attempted to avoid conflict between their nations and the outbreak of World War Two and is an untold story. Next month a 18,000 subscription magazine is highlighting the novel, The Emperor and the Spy and the historical documents behind it. The Japanese American Veterans Association JAVA has highlighted and supported the novel and timeline in their 2015 Summer Quarterly Journal.
I'd appreciate your reviewing this and returning my contributions to the Wikipedia pages for these two heroes who I am shining the light upon.
Thank you very much, Stan S. Katz Stan S. Katz (talk) 06:20, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

- Hello, Stan S. Katz. There are a few problems with the information you've added and the way you've done so. But I'm going to focus on what I think is ultimately the biggest obstacle for its inclusion in the above mentioned articles.
- According to our policy on maintaining a neutral point of view – which is highly important for an encyclopedia – information presented on topics of articles should be presented in proportion to how it is covered in reliable sources. This typically means that any "insights not available before", or reinterpretations of history, receive little to no coverage in an encyclopedia. This is not a flaw, but pertains to the very mission of an encyclopedia: encyclopedias strive to give a condensed presentation of the subject as it has been covered elsewhere before. This requires the right balance (to the detriment of any groundbreaking and fringe views) as well as restraint from publishing material that has not been published before. Any new theory should first become established (not necessarily as mainstream, but at least as an established alternative view) in the academia and media. Only then can the encyclopedia present it as such.
- Judging from what you've said above, you are on your way there, but that's a step that has to be taken before an encyclopedia can report on it. I'd be happy to answer if you have more questions about this or any other issue. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 07:36, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

The Art of Peace - Illustrated biography of Prince Iyesato Tokugawa moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, The Art of Peace - Illustrated biography of Prince Iyesato Tokugawa, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~Cheers~~Mgbo120 20:13, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:1937 Japan, Group photo with Prince Iyesato Tokugawa and Colonel Sidney Mashbir and others after attending a Pan Pacific Club Luncheon honoring Colonel Mashbir’s return visit to Japan..jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:1937 Japan, Group photo with Prince Iyesato Tokugawa and Colonel Sidney Mashbir and others after attending a Pan Pacific Club Luncheon honoring Colonel Mashbir’s return visit to Japan..jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disambiguation link notification for July 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited London Naval Treaty, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page London Naval Conference (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
