Hi, working on the home automation is a good idea because it got many issues to resolve. As, the technology changes day to day these kind of articles needs to be updated. A look at your sand box says that you are working on the User perspective of the home automation and the technical implementation, where user perspective seems like you are adding a whole new section to the existing article, which is a good extension. It looks like you worked on the technical implementation part in your sand box. I had few suggestions on your work in the sand box i.e., even though it is a draft work providing heading to a section helps the users to know which part of the article they are looking at. Maintaining a reference section is good rather than providing a single link to the resources(link provided is not reachable) Sravani 14:02, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, it’s a great initiative to work on Home automation article as the article has great scope of improvement. I have been through your draft, there is not much content written to write a review. I would like to suggest on considering few aspects of editing such in-line citations, an organized flow of the content with a background information at the beginning of the section, being more specific about the journals selected and following a consistent format of referencing the articles or journals considered. I would also suggest you to check on the suggestions that I have posted on the Home automation article’s talk page. Hi, I have gone through your article Home automation. I would appreciate for selecting this article because it needs to be developed and need some additional citation because home automation is a tool that need an updated information. i sawthat you took a part to work on user perspective content and its a technical implementation. There was not much specific information provided in sandbox yet but i just wanted to suggest you in providing some specific heading to the content you including in the sandbox. also include your reference by citing avoiding the links to the page. These are just my suggestions which i found its just an advice as a friend. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Palusam roja (talkcontribs) 23:30, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PEER REVIEW

[edit]

Hello Sneha, you and your team have chosen a good topic to work. Home automation is the great concept which made human life more easy. It is the next level of the technology. From your sandbox I figured out that you are working on user perspective and technical implementations. After reviewing the Home automation Wikipedia article I found that you have a great scope of improving the article. Especially, the reason I chose your sandbox to respond is just because the subtopics you chose play a crucial role in the home automation concept. Technical implementations is the major concept it all depends upon but the problem is the implementation techniques listed in the article are out dated, in other words they are not up to date. No body are using those techniques anymore. So, please try to fing for new technical implementations. There are many peer reviewed articles that talk about the latest home automation concepts. Update your article techniques and also concentrate more on the references list. The more you provide your technical implementation list so much stronger the project becomes. It is because home automation is all about the new advancements in technology.Pkotrike (talk) 00:01, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PEER REVIEW - RASHED

[edit]

Hello! I think home automation is a great topic to work on since our lives are almost run by technology these days. Knowing information about home automation is beneficial for all of us. I looked at your sandbox and I suggest you add more content to it and some more background information. Adding headings for the reader to know what each paragraph talks about would be helpful too. Also, you should include references list instead of links because links do not always work. Finally, make sure your references are up to date and the ways and techniques referred to are still used by people today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rashed Alzeer (talkcontribs) 00:48, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Team,

Good topic to improve. You have focused on user perspective and technical implementation of home automation. You have covered few aspects of thermostats, HVAC, security but I feel home automation is a very huge topic and involves many technologies, you could try to cover larger part of Insteon. X10. ZIGBEE. Wi-Fi. Bluetooth. HOMEKIT. Z-Wave. UPB. etc. Internet of things is also a topic related to home automation, including it will give the article a better shape. Citation and reference has to be improved.

Thanks, Rahul JC. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rahuljc (talkcontribs) 01:12, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if "user perspective" is a good heading for a topic of the article because that seems a little broad for that section. Listing different ways of accessing the home automation services is a good idea, but there may me more than the three ways that you have chosen. from a computer using a keyboard and mouse, for instance.
The link that you have in the article needs to have a citation there and the link itself should appear at the end. Also, this section can use more citations.
the main body of the section is well done, but it doesn't say which topic from the article it is for. Based on the content,i think it's for the "Technical implementation" section. Putting the heading at the beginning of the topic will fix that.
In the last section, the word "systems" is used three times in the same sentence.
In all, it's a good start.

Home Automation article peer review - Alex Vardanega

Hi Sneha, after reading your the contents of your sandbox I'm not sure exactly what are your intentions with these edits. It appears to me that the a portion of the initial definition and the Implementations sections were copied to the sandbox and merged into one big paragraph. Is this supposed to be the new content of the Implementations section?
The article you cited looks good and very relevant but I'm afraid you'll need a few more to complete this assignment. I found another article that may be of help for you:
