Nishan Sumanadeera

[edit]

Hello there. I'm sorry that you have had bad experiences with the Nishan Sumanadeera article. About the copyright issue - unfortunately, we cannot just take your word for being the authors of the text in question. It would be possible to donate the text to Wikipedia, but even if you did, Wikipedia has its own content standards. We are not allowed to include promotional material, for one thing, and we have our own standards for formatting and layout that may not fit in with the text you wrote. So even if you did donate the text, there is no guarantee that we could use it. Also, as you are a PR firm, I really recommend having a look at the plain and simple conflict of interest guide so that you can see how you can contribute to Wikipedia and not run into as many problems as you have done so far. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius 12:06, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Hybrid homes

[edit]

Hello Sriventure,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hybrid homes for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. - Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 04:18, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your hangon rationale re. Hybrid Homes

[edit]

You wrote, "As stated in the article, Hybrid Homes is a novel concept of housing and required to covered in the Wikipedia for the benefit of the readership." Well, that's precisely the focus on the concept being novel that makes the entire article promotional.

If you can write a draft that's entirely based on material that comes from third-party reliable sources (that is, material written by people who never sought consent consent of Hybrid Homes), it will be acceptable for Wikipedia. --- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 04:31, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you wrote, "you can search google for the keywords and find out whether this article is a promotion or not." Google will not tell us whether the article you wrote is promotional. If I google the word "Apple", does it make this page non-promotional? --- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 04:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If I write about Hybrid Cars!! I am sure you will call it promotional too!! I am sick of wasting my time with Wikipedia. Because you guys just delete articles without doing any research. Just find out whether anything by the name of Hybrid Homes exist in the world and whether it is covered in Wikipedia. I have attached several links to the and I dont think I would want to rewrite the article. Thank you for your time and have a good day!!

I did the research on Google News archives. It only returns one entry about Hybrid homes, and it's the website of a company in Sri Lanka that makes these things. Since it's a primary source, you can't use that to establish that the concept meets our inclusion guidelines. --- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 18:20, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Low res / poor quality, unused

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Hello Sriventure. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Nishan Sumanadeera, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sriventure. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sriventure|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Whpq (talk) 21:01, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
