Files with a bad name can also be moved to Commons

[edit]

Hi! Edits like this is not correct [1]. Images can be moved to Commons even if the file on En-wiki has a bad name. You just have to choose a better name when you transfer to Commons. --MGA73 (talk) 19:57, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please!!!

[edit]

When you transfer images to Commons could you "check the images"? Otherwise I or someone else have to check the images again. It is easier for you since you have checked the info before you transfered the image. It would really be a help. --MGA73 (talk) 20:06, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Hakarimata.jpg

[edit]

I do not know why you have nominated this file for speedy deletion, please explain? Thanks. Rangi (talk) 02:16, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I should have added {{Di-no permission}} instead. Now that the image is deleted from English wiki, you can still send the evidence of permission to wikimedia and save it from deletion in commons. For specific insturctions, please see the file page on commons now.
The reason for adding this tag is that the image has been uploaded by you, but the image says that the owner is Hone Thomson. Wikimedia will require an email from the copyright owner to be sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org to verify its copyright status. --Sreejith K (talk) 06:07, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded a photo a family member of mine took more than six years ago, with his permission, to illustrate the subject in question (hence the license it was provided under).Rangi (talk) 09:23, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please ask him to email permissions-en@wikimedia.org saying that he is the copyright owner of the photo (File:Hakarimata.jpg) and he is willing to allow anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that he is properly attributed. --Sreejith K (talk) 11:44, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Troll making accusations involving you

[edit]

FYI: I dont know if you were ever notified of this rediculous incident[2], but a troll is continuing to make that accusation from various IPs on my user page. Active Banana (talk) 18:52, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ha ha. That was a ridiculously funny page. I think I should take a printout of it and keep it in my closet for ever. Thanks for notifying me. By the way, you are not me really, are you? lol. --Sreejith K (talk) 05:46, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ahhh, the meatpuppetry acting. This should be enough after the clerk check.--79.72.225.46 (talk) 13:34, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for completely nerfing the quality of the image and deleting all of the past revisions. That was so very helpful. --Kevin W. 23:49, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
