Hiya

[edit]

I saw you made changes in the Di Gi Charat page and just wanted to say hi ^^ Uhm, I think i've seen you before...are you a member of Minitokyo? Minako-Chan* 17:32, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Nope, never registered for minitokyo. - Squilibob 23:33, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You! ^^

[edit]

Thank you so much! That was very kind of you. I'm glad to be helping you polish up the article - I'd been wanting to do it for ages but this Whisper person kept arguing with me about it. -_- I'm so glad you came along, though! I loved your proposal, since it was fair to both sides, and I think that Ojamajo Doremi and Magical DoReMi have now had some justice done to them. About the fansubs... one of my friends, Jeffery Mewtamer (not on wiki), works on them. I've never actually downloaded them, since I don't have torrent, but I've watched just about every single episode of the original that my grandpa taped for me while it was running in Spain (not the Spanish dub, though). It's not like the other dubs - the script, names, everything was completely preserved as it is, with no changes that I know of whatsoever. I haven't watched any of the movies or Naisho yet and I'm dying to, especially the Yadahazu episode. (Yes, I'm a shipper. ^-^) Hopefully I'll get torrent soon and download them. Anyway, thanks so much again! ^^ Amina 23:24, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anime collaboration of the week

[edit]

Hi, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but perhaps it would be worthwhile to go through the nomination process before sticking the self-referential template on the article page (you may want to consider keeping it on the talk page, as templates on the main article are discouraged).

Anime recieves a huge amount of anonymous traffic+edits, and I've been wondering about how to keep these articles up to par (maintenance is a problem) for a while. If you've got any ideas, I'd love to hear them (seeing that the first collaboration, fittingly, was for anime). — Ambush Commander(Talk) 00:19, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

List of Anime

[edit]

Red links on the list aren't really a problem, it may incite someone to create the page. Obviously if it is a sequel series and information is available on the page of the prequel then you can pipe a link to that. Shiroi Hane 17:24, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

AMCOTW

[edit]

I've seen that you started a new collaboration. To make it work it probably needs to be advertised more. I told people at the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga that the collaboration exists. It might also be a good idea to inform others on the talk pages of famous manga about the collaboration and which nominations are on at the moment. If you know a lot about the anime coverage at wikipedia, you might find it easy to start the collaboration of with a few good nominations. --Fenice 21:34, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grappler Baki

[edit]

The name change is fine. I had named it under the title it was released in the US as because of earlier problems that were had when I created Stratos 4. There's no specific policy on naming conventions, it's just thought that the best title for the article should be the one that is most common in English, which Grappler Baki is. I just didn't want to be caught up in another possible naming problem. - Rudykog 18:04, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anime and Manga Project

[edit]

I saw what you stated on my talk page, but I'm uncertain as to how to put the new template on my page. I'm rather new to this, so I was wondering what goes into the PAGENAME area of the template. Thanks in advance. ^^ Amina 02:05, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice!

[edit]

I love the work you're doing on Ojamajo Doremi's pages. At first I was doubtful, but recently the layout and information have been excellent, and though I know I myself haven't contributed much, I'd just like to say that it's looking really good! Thanks for all your work on it. ^^ Amina 23:00, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to what you put on my talk page. XD Anyway, I didn't know WhisperToMe was an admin... I thought for sure he wanted to, but wasn't quite one yet. Does it say on his page? Oh yep... in the userbox... I hadn't seen that before. -_- Oh well, though - I guess if another adminstrator sees the page and agrees with us, we could change it back to Ojamajo Doremi. Amina 00:07, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Subst'ing templates?

[edit]

I must admit, I really don't understand why you took it upon yourself to go out and subst {{-}} in a dozen articles. You said something about "reducing server strain" but the effect of using a single small template (especially after caching) is pretty much non-existent. In the future I would encourage you to get some kind of consensus before implementing template substituting changes. Thanks. --Cyde Weys 02:57, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect 'fixing'

[edit]

You may wish to read Wikipedia:Redirects#Don't fix links to redirects that aren't broken, I think I've seen you adding a fair few roots in [[root|redirect]] when the link was already working as intended. --zippedmartin 22:26, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for your link to that redirect guideline. I had no idea about that and I was under the misconception that redirects were counterproductive. All that time I spent changing OVA links to Original Video Animation... grr, wasted my time. Anyway I see where you are coming from about the shōjo page, there are a lot of mangaka and magazine articles that refer to shōjo manga specifically but a lot of anime pages refer to the shōjo genre, so yes there definately has to be a shōjo page. It's whether or not there needs to be a separate page for shōjo manga that I'm concerned with. By the way, have you thought about joining WikiProject Anime and manga?
I rewrote it. Not keen on joining clubs really, I wanna edit free! Ehem... er... Anyway, off for weekend now. --zippedmartin 18:26, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rozen Maiden

[edit]

Hey, do you feel up to splitting Rozen Maiden in the same way we did ToHeart?

And while we're talking about ToHeart, what do you feel needs adding to the ToHeart2 (anime) article, besides summarised descriptions and some pictures?

Karn-b 15:54, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hahahaha, then get watching! :p But I suppose it would be better to leave it as it is for now, until it becomes really unmanageable. I really like the character format they use.

Have you watched Mahoromatic? It seems there are very few versed with this one and very few edits are being made.

I am guilty of not having watched ToHeart2 myself, but will get around to it soon. I'll probably start work on it around 2 weeks time, when time permits. Karn-b 06:21, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, my bad. When I first came to the Mahoromatic article, there was hardly anything....I recently added the characters and the descriptions, but I haven't watched it in so long that I don't remember everything. The spoiler tag definately needs to be moved though.

The problem is, I'm not versed with other anime in the same way I have ToHeart under my belt...I need to get watching and reading again. Mahoromatic, Mahoraba, Ichigo Marshimaro and Animal Yokocho along with TH2 are all ones on your list which I could help with once I get up to scratch with them again. Yokocho...I need to buy the manga - hard to buy shoujo manga at a store you know! People look!

I won't be able to do much the next month, as I'll pretty much be away. Are there any articles you're actually concentrating on right now?

Template:Hdeity infobox

[edit]

May be you could lend a hand in making this template since you have godly template making skills. I'm trying to get this Hindu diety indox for the Hindu gods and goddesses sections. I have an outline done but the coding is too complicated for me.--Dangerous-Boy 05:39, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, dude. I'll get back to you after I test it out!--Dangerous-Boy 07:35, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I tested it out on Template talk:Hdeity infobox

Can you make all the tables optional except the image and Devanagari for? Here are the problems that still need to be worked out:

  1. Mantra and weapon don't show up probably when filled in with the word test
  2. Consort does not show up.

I think that's it for now.--Dangerous-Boy 08:14, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Everything seems to work great. just one more thing. can you justify the infobox to the right instead of the left?--Dangerous-Boy 09:25, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The article text doesn't seem to realigning itself to the left when the infobox is inserted. The infobox pushes the text way down.--Dangerous-Boy 09:44, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's perfect! Thanks a lot for your help. This probably would not have been possible without you.--Dangerous-Boy 10:14, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When I insert the template into the Indra article, the Template:IndicText seems to throw off the alignment.--Dangerous-Boy 20:47, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I tried the alignment thing like you said but it didn't work. I put an example of the problem on the Template talk:Hdeity infobox.--Dangerous-Boy 08:46, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. I guess it wouldn't hurt to include the indic text template into infobox template. Probably would save space. Go ahead its no trouble for you. --Dangerous-Boy 09:58, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is the caption table supposed to provide a caption display function when the mouse cursor is over the image? If it is, I don't think it's working properly unless the wikification of a word nullifies the function. I inserted the infobox into a couple of articles. it looks pretty good. Check them out if you're interested:

  1. Garuda
  2. Indra
  3. Yama
  4. Saraswati
  5. Agni
  6. Brahma
  7. Ganesha

--Dangerous-Boy 20:40, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you make one more table addition to the template? The section is for an editor to add the local script of the area the deity is from. The editor should be able to input the script name in the blue box and the script itself in the clear box next it. Would it possible? By the way, your box is great. Even with copying someone else's template, there would still be quirks to work out. We probably wouldn't have this without your help!--Dangerous-Boy 07:26, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect! thanks.--Dangerous-Boy 09:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want to moved the characters to their own page? The person on Talk:Cowboy Bebop disagrees with this. Also, can you create a template for cowboy bebop like {{Vampire Hunter D}}?--Dangerous-Boy 18:45, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About the Project Page

[edit]

Hi, erm, you seem pretty peeved at me. I'd like to resolve these issues peacefully if we can.

The grading scheme

I didn't move it to another page. That is an already existing scheme created by the Wikipedia 1.0 team for grading all articles. So it seemed space-consuming and redundant to have it there. A general grading scheme not specific to the project was taking up a large portion of the page and I didn't feel that it was relevant.

Infoboxes

I put the animanga infobox example there initially because there already was a Convention infobox there (which I had nothing to do with). If you look at this, you'll see where I got the inspiration to include an example infobox. The one at that project helped me learn the ropes of that infobox very quickly. I believe at the time there were no example infoboxes on the template page. You can remove the Project page examples if you see fit, or ask everyone else what they think.

However, I think we need to revise the template/its examples. For instance, the "ja_name_trans" variable is very inconsistently used. It leads me to believe it wants the translated japanese title, whereas the examples show the romanized title. What's the deal?

The examples also don't encourage the user to use flagicons (not sure what your stance is on those), and they are another example of fair-use images being used on non-article-namespace pages. We need to revise these.

Phorque (talk · contribs) 10:54, 06 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"I still don't think you understand the point I'm trying to make", but I do. I said I'm fine with those example boxes being removed and I'm going to do so myself right now. I have moved over to your side! We have consensus! The example infoboxes are unnecessary clutter.

But do you not agree we must improve the examples on the template page? I think I'll move the "Adventures of Wikipedia" to the template page too. - Phorque (talk · contribs) 12:43, 06 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion desired

[edit]

Squilibob, I'm not sure as to the etiquette involed in these situations, so please forgive if I trespass! SeizureDog and I have disagreed on the assessment of Neon Genesis Evangelion as an A-class article, but have agreed to seek outside opinion. Would you mind looking the matter over?--Monocrat 18:40, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SLOW DOWN with the stubs a bit

[edit]
  • Squilli, most of your stubs are looking pretty pathetic. "____ is an anime." is just too lazy even for a stub. Just for a quick comparision, see an average stub of mine compared to one of yours. Mine: Lament of the Lamb, Yours: Gokudo. There's not much difference, I have a quick sentence telling in very rough terms what the manga is about and also a picture. But that small addition makes a HUGE difference in usefullness. For mine, a read at least gets "Alright, vampires. Cool, I get it." but with yours it's like...no freaking clue. Seriously though, just read the ANN paragraph and rephrase it to something stupidly short. It's better than nothing. Also, adding a picture would be nice, but I'll let that slide for now. Finally, consider adding the following to your pages.
==References==
 <div class="references-small">
 *{{cite web
 | url =
 | title =
 | publisher = Anime News Network
 | language = English
 | accessdate = ####-##-##
 }}
 </div>

It's not much more to copy, and we get ourselves a reference section to boot. Serves as a good example for future edits to be sure to cite more often. --SeizureDog 00:31, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I turn it into a reference because a)references for animes are hard enough to do as it is, b)I AM using it for a reference after all and c)external links to me implies general sites, not specfic sections. How are you sure the description is inaccurate if you haven't seen it? And if you've seen it then why not just write something off of memory?--SeizureDog 01:28, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • It doesn't cover the game at all. Or the manga. Or the light novels. Or hardly anything else. Right now, it's mostly a character list, and that's a Start.--SeizureDog 06:06, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categories at Air

[edit]

Um, yeah. Don't do that. That's not how categories work at all. Plus, the new category would need to be "Air series", not "Air (video game)" but that shouldn't even be made yet. --SeizureDog 05:29, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MegaTokyo

[edit]

It's not actually a manga, as the article itself states: "Its writing and art styles are heavily influenced by Japanese manga." We might still can consider it part of the project, but I'd like for it to be discussed first.--SeizureDog 10:42, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bubblegum Crisis Work of Fiction As Factual Topic

[edit]

I have noted your addition to the header of the Bubblegum Crisis article, and wish to have you clarify certain matters. Having read through the guidelines stated, the article by and large fits them, and specifically sites episodes and secondary material throughout. Could you direct me to some specific reasons that made it necessary for this topic header to be added? I think everyone who has been editing the Bubblegum Crisis article is appreciative of all assistance in making it as good an article as possible (though it needs some revision, obviously).

I'm currently in the middle of a project to improve FLCL and its related family of articles as much as possible, and I've just finished adding A/M Project evaluations to their talk pages. Assessments

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for your recent assessments of Sailor Moon articles; it's encouraging to know where we stand. :) I have a request related to that. You hit a couple of our villain-group pages right before a big merging effort, and I wondered if you'd be willing to look at them again. They were stubs before, and I think they could be B-class now. The ones in question are Dark Kingdom and, in particular, Shadow Galactica. Black Moon Clan isn't quite done with its merging yet, and Dead Moon Circus needs a bunch of cleanup, but I'll probably eventually drop you a note about those as well. :) Thanks again for your reviews! We really appreciate it. --Masamage 02:29, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Assesment of Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san

[edit]

History shows you put in that Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san is rated B-class. According to the criteria means that

"it has significant gaps or missing elements or references, needs substantial editing for English language usage and/or clarity, balance of content, or contains other policy problems such as copyright, Neutral Point Of View (NPOV) or No Original Research (NOR)."

If you could be more specific I might be able to do something. As it stands now with no specifics it is hard to do something constructive and adding just for adding will typically attact more negative comments.

Also it is unclear to me just who did the grading and where the log of that discussion can be found. --21:33, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Constructive commenst are welcome. I propose such should always be made available to avoid working blind in attempted but directionless improvements. Edits are underway. More will come. Thanks. Note that I post from a dynamic IP that can change at any time.

I figured out how to make the show/hide list you implemented not be illegibly tiny when expanded. For everyone but one user I've talked to, at least, it now works nicely.

I'm mentioning this for two reasons: 1st, to congratulate you for the excellent idea. 2nd, because I changed the optional parameter name for the manga box from translated_publisher to publisher_other. I often see other pages to get ideas of how to edit, when it comes to the problem with the list of legend of light titles, the reason why I called it legend of light characters instead of list of legend of light characters was because I noticed that in the page of inuyasha, maison ikakou, and uresei yatsura they were called: inuyasha characters, maison ikakou characters, and uresei yatsura characters so I thought it was supposed to be that way.Angel,Isaac 14:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Just wanted to let you know that Sydney haven't lost the points yet - the sixth paragraph for this summarises what I could pick up from the sources and press release by the FFA. I don't know what you have edited to make these changes (I saw a footnote on the A-League 2006-07 page), so if you want to fix it, I'll let you do it :) Cheers, Daniel.Bryant T · C ] 08:41, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Problem

[edit]

I was trying to remove the anime and manga category tags from User:Bizarre099 user page so it would stop showing up in the list. For some reason I can not find them. My only guess it that they might be activated with the infobox, but that is just a guess. Naruto

[edit]

Just a heads up that a lot of the Naruto character pages do not have the project tags on them with assessments. I could do it myself, but I can never decided if they are a start or a B article. (Duane543 21:33, 16 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Decided to add the project tags to the Naruto articles that do not have them, and just make a judgment call on the assessments. It's not like the assessments can not be changed later by someone else. (Duane543 16:06, 17 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Infobox

[edit]

Back on Feb. 5, 2007, I asked you how to prevent user pages with Infoboxes from showing up on the categories pages. You stated a "Code could be added easily to the infobox to stop it adding categories outside of the main article namespace if this became a problem in future. (using if NAMESPACE =)" I'm not positive that I understand what you are doing. So set up a mock infobox on my user page for you to show me (you have to hit the edit button to see it because the infoboxes are in an internal comment (<!-- Example -->). Question

[edit]

I'm I right to think that List of Death Note manga should be renamed List of Death Note media. I also don't think that page needs this [[Category:Manga series|Death Note]] tag. I want to make sure I'm right before doing anything because Death Note is a popular manga. (Duane543 04:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

If you checked out the main Death Note article, there would be more than enough information to make a List of Death Note media. The List of Death Note manga, Death Note original soundtracks and the DVD, movie Theme songs, Movie Cast, and Anime theme songs page sections from the main page could all be merged into such a page. (Duane543 05:29, 28 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]
I think I will remove the category tags that I do not think belong and suggest the my merge idea on the main article talk page. On an unrelated note, could you assess the newly formed Kagesada Sugano article. (Duane543 01:42, 1 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Characters in Berserk is not a stand-alone list

[edit]

According to the definition on Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists), a stand-alone list is a page that contains primarily a list, usually of links to articles in a particular subject area (slightly paraphrased for grammar). Characters in Berserk does not, instead containing primarily descriptions and detailed information on the characters. It's not a major issue, but I would like to move it back to the previous title. --tjstrf talk 05:49, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not so. Most of our character articles do indeed use List of characters of/in x, but not all of them. See here, here, and here. The prefix index also reveals that while there are more List of characters... pages, it is not an overwhelming majority, and most of the List of characters in/of/from pages do fit the criteria for stand-alone lists.
As for why we make this distinction, I believe the reasoning is that "List of..." is reserved for index pages that do not give detailed information, while detailed character pages are considered to actually be an article about the subject rather than simply a list giving their names, so they use a different convention. --tjstrf talk 06:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another Anime Convention AfD review

[edit]

I would like to invite you to take another look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Another Anime Convention (2nd nomination). I had presented that Another Anime Convention is the biggest anime convention in New Hampshire, but before much discussion had taken place the deletion was closed. Would you like to voice your opinion, for or against, at the deletion review? The claims to notability meet the sole requirement for such claims to be verifiable, not necessarily verified. The two sources I had provided show that the claim is as true as far as can be proven also. As I stated, if I claimed to own the only Computer Repair Company in Iowa, and I had multiple phone-books to prove it, that would be enough verifiability for Wikipedia. Also, any user can search Google for Anime Conventions in New Hampshire, and they will find no current ones (nor any larger than Another Anime Convention). I hope you consider participating in the review discussion. Kopf1988 00:50, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Animax Taishō merge tag

[edit]

A few months ago, you added the merge tags to the Animax article, and cited your reasons for merging the Animax Taishō article into the Animax article, to which I responded a month or so later, due to some of the developments which had recently happened (specifically the international expansion of the event). I think the article can therefore be expanded further now, so I personally don't think it should be merged. Interested in ToHeart again?

[edit]

Hey Squilibob. We worked on the ToHeart article a while back together. I know it's been a while, but would you be interested in working on it again? I'd like to try to get the entire series pages into GA status, but am a bit lacking in experience in that area - I've got the info, but don't have all the rules down. What do you think? It would certainly be fun ^_^

Karn-b 15:04, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I suppose I'd had to lose that point sooner or later ^_^...but for entertainment's sake, let's keep ToHeart2 that way for the time being, shall we? Technically, To Heart was released as that - with the space. They got rid of the space later, but ToHeart2 was done without the spacing. I know they're going to throw the book at us, but it'll be fun while it lasts :p

At the same time, I'd probably want to add a small caption on top of the article stating that it is really without the space - something perhaps like this:

The actual Japanese name for this game is "ToHeart".

Or something similar.

Karn-b 13:58, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, but it seems Real Life has caught up with me: I won't be able to do much with the article until the weekend at least. Will get back to work once Saturday hits!

Karn-b 15:18, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about you, but the sheer arrogance of that Shii character is starting to get on my nerves...I dislike people who are unable to collaborate diplomatically. Of course, it's impossible to like everyone.

In any case, did you have a chance to look at the arguments put forward? I think that the one about Camel case in [Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(trademarks)] pretty much makes the case for us. What do you think?

I won't be changing the spacing now that that individual is on the prowl - I agree that the content is more important. But it would be good to have some feedback on the talk page just for future reference, when the topic is once again brought up.

Question on Article structure

[edit]

Does the guideline from WP:Manga of "Character sections should not be divided into numerous sub-sections, as this makes the table of contents unnecessarily long" apply to the List of characters in (series) articles also? Recently BrokenSphere pointed out to me that you can find both examples of manga/anime character articles where sub-headers are and aren't used in these articles. (Duane543 03:22, 1 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Evidence to end all arguments

[edit]

Alright, let me look through my collection of books and manga. I'm sure we'll find something though ^_^

Thanks for sticking through this one. I'm glad there are still very decent people out there.

Karn-b 06:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've found several smoking guns. Unfortunately it's not as obvious as what you wanted, as the Japanese simply do not list out things like that in the copyright page, but it is nevertheless, concrete evidence. Let me scan the images and I'll try to upload them tomorrow. Karn-b 14:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, the Aquaplus website uses "ToHeart" as standard in all their product pages. They obviously own the trademark - wouldn't that be enough to prove it?

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

Romanization for words of English origin

[edit]

On the MOS:JP talk page, a discussion has been started about including or not including romanizations for words of English origin, such as Fainaru Fantajī in Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) (for the sake of simplicity, I called this case "words of English origin", more information on semantics here).

Over the course of a month, it has become apparent that both the parties proposing to include or not include those romanizations cannot be convinced by the arguments or guidelines brought up by the other side. Therefore, a compromise is trying to be found that will satisfy both parties. One suggestion on a compromise has been given already, but it has not found unanimous agreement, so additional compromises are encouraged to be suggested.

One universally accepted point was to bring more users from the affected projects in to help achieve consensus, and you were one of those selected in the process.

What this invitation is:

  • You should give feedback on the first suggested compromise and are highly encouraged to provide other solutions.

What this invitation is not:

  • This is not a vote on including or excluding such romanizations.
  • This is not a vote on compromises either.

It would be highly appreciated if you came over to the MOS:JP talk page and helped find a solution. Thank you in advance. Prime Blue (talk) 11:29, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Double header A-League

[edit]

Hey there...

When you add in the double header as a seperate game, it adds an extra game to the overall total. This distorts the averages, especially given they have already been included. If we took the split crowds away from Sydney and CCM and reverted back to a double header tab by itself, then even though there were two games played, we're including only one which again distorts the averages as the stats will reflect that one less game was played over the course of the year, which boosts the averages.

To make it a bit clearer, note the following -

Option 1 (Divide crowd evenly and add a double header tab)

We end up with a total of 151 games divided by the total crowd figure, instead of 150, lowering the overall average.

Option 2 (Split up the crowds and leave as is)

We end up with the correct games figure of 150, however club averages might be slightly understated for Sydney and overstated for CCM as we do not know exactly how many fans went to the fixture predominantly supporting one game over another.

Option 3 (Remove attendance split from club averages and add double header alone)

We get 149 games played overall instead of 150, boosting the overall average. This also does not impact on club averages which is not correct as they both played official home matches.

So, I feel that it is best to split the averages and remove the double header line which will keep things as accurate as possible. It was me who made the initial changes earlier - I've created an account so that I can understand peoples reasons as to why they feel this is wrong instead of just changing it without justification.

Hi. When you recently edited 2011–12 A-League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim Brown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Filmscomics1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Filmscomics1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:32, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Farix (t | c) 14:28, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of music from Di Gi Charat

[edit]

The article List of music from Di Gi Charat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks WP:Notability also per WP:IINFO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
