Family Guy
[edit]My deletion (which you reverted) was not vandalism; in fact it was removing a section containing irrelevant and trivial comparisions between "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons." 138.16.27.168 01:56, 27 January 2006 (UTC) then please use an apprpriate edit ummary to diplay why you sleted a large chunk of the article, the article come under almost contant vandalism attack and we are not physicBenon 01:57, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
NO it is YOU whom vandalized MY article. Tis true that I'm new to the site, but it's not fair to offer people the chance to add to the site then delete OR edit what is written. It's not nice. So bite me, ass holes.Insert non-formatted text hereuser:24.158.235.98 2:02 27 january 2006 (utc)

Vandalism
[edit]Hi, I did not know it was vandalism to remove content. Sorry. I do believe the content in question is biased against Jehovah's Witnesses in the general tone and style. It's the same for the Awake! and Watchtower entries, and therefore I was only removing what I thought was biased. The sort of writing in there would never get into Encyclopedia Britannica, so how can it be gotten away with on here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.114.15 (talk • contribs)

Isn't this a public user editable site though, hence the whole point of it being a wiki? I simply edited the article. I did not add any pro-JW comments, nor change the sense of the article, simply removed the biased comments. I will report it as you say, but I must say you're a very unfair moderator for what is a publically-editable site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.114.15 (talk • contribs)

Sorry, but may I ask why you revert the Kurdish article.
[edit]Kurds are ethnic Iranians and you can see it by reading the articles. Also they is something that is untrue saying Kurdish is banned from being taught in Iran. That is unture, Iran was the only state to allow Kurdish to be taught freely and there are links in the discussions to prove it. So please revert it back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.196.139.250 (talk • contribs) if you belive this then please discuss it on the articles talk page Benon 06:13, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

I'm confuded who are you implying that is stalking who? I remind you that I accused DA of wikystalking and DA admitted to be monitoring me "3rd thing on the morning" and his edits were just blind reversings (always erasing my words rather than repracing or at least askme for sourcing) and when he #wrote, the info content several big factual mistakes and ofenses on the summary. To me that's unethical. ... I acused him with several editors and nobody cared. Recently I though It was ok, so I went with a "if I can't against him I'll do the same (which apparently was ok). I have to say that I was invited by DA to edit the first article I knew he was there first beforehand. That was the limited series article, but my edits didn't erase his words and the changes I did didn't clash even with DA's interests. I was just acting a little bolder with a merge of 3 other articles he might started but were on a "stub" state and renamed a page wit a name everybody seems to like (list of maxiseries) then I had some mistakes but I got help before on good time. I never wrote about anything I didn't know about and didn't erase any dyslexic words. Then I went to a page and undid a blind reverse DA did on an editor I related to and felt that if he was goingto erase whatever I wrote, I could rewrite at least whatever he erased unfearly. Remember that by then I started dobting acting the way DA did was bad practice. Shanel and your words to him were the first I can recall telling him to stop.--T-man... Two notes on reverting edits
[edit]I see you reverted an edit of mine [1]. Because you didn't provide a comment, I can't tell why you did it. I assume that since it was a rather odd edit, you made a simple mistake, no big deal. But you should be careful when you revert with a script, since it makes such errors much more likely. Also, I'd made some ten other simmlar edits before you rolled back that one, yet you didn't touch those edits or contact me. If indeed you though you saw vandalism you really should have checked my contribs to make sure there wasn't more. (If you had I would have expected you to roll it all back, or figure out what I was doing and undo your first rollback, or at least contact me)... In any case, it's all good. Happy editing. --Gmaxwell 20:43, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
ahh yes because unless you have the owners permisson you cant "blank" user pages was my understading so i revrted it, the script isnt a script at all but navagation popups which allow 1 click reverts but i still have to look at it and everything, sorry Benon 03:43, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi, someone (SoothingR) keeps sending me messages asking me to "stop deleting" passages from the article on Plagiarism. I don't know what they're talking about. I haven't looked at that article for weeks. I did edit some "examples of plagiarism" that were simply allegations and their inclusion most probably politically motivated, but that was a few weeks back. Your RfA did not pass
[edit]I regret to inform you that your RfA was closed early today by bureaucrat Raul654 as a failing RfA. Please do not take this as a condemnation of you or your contributions to Wikipedia. RfAs are only an assessment of the community's opinion about your potential as an administrator at this point in time, not for all time. I encourage you to take the lessons from your now closed RfA and use them to improve yourself as a Wikipedian. You are of course welcome to apply again for administrator rights at a later date. I recommend you wait at least a month, if not two or three months. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to ask me. --Durin 16:24, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Errors
[edit]Well it doesn't actually break, since it carries on...
You have four problems there which relate to two real problems, I know about both:
- exceptions.RuntimeError: dictionary changed size during iteration this is when deciding where to route messages, it's indicative of routing changes whilst it is processing a message. I have a fix for this, but the upshot is that a message (user input rather than rcevent) might not get processed.
- exceptions.KeyError: "january 2017" and exceptions.KeyError: "fortnight" these are part of the block length, when trying to work out block conflicts and auto-blacklist length. The options WP allows are very flexible, so it just covers the common ones, if it doesn't understand it will auto-bl for a week and not do block conflict processing. This is a bug which stops it realising that it doesn't know the correct length. Upshot is that auto blacklisting doesn't occur. I have a fix for this too..

Nevertheless I'll visit the english Wikipedia by time and correct some typos or something. :-)
Maybe we'll see us again...

[edit]Thanks for reverting vandalism on my userpage. I'm not sure why, but that guy just keeps going after me via my userpage... strange guy.
I'm not sure whether to erase the stuff above (because you restored them) so I'm gonna leave them alone... People do the randomest things. Anyways, thanks again. :) Buchanan-Hermit™..CONTRIBS..SPEAK! 00:59, 13 March 2006 (UTC) reply on their talk pageBenon 01:01, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

apology
[edit]Dear Benon,
My attack was immature and I'm sorry. I thought I was contributing something cool to the Deftones section on Wikipedia, and according to him, it's seemingly irrelevent. I thought I was free to add anything I wanted. The logo is completly relevent. It stands for Deftones revolution in music, compared to Nintendo Revolution. Other than that, I do my fair share of editing, and reading. —This unsigned comment was added by Glassjaw420wt (talk • contribs) .

Licence information?
[edit]I need licence information to post that picture? Do I have to contact Nintendo and ask them for permisson to use (what looks like) there official logo? Or do I contact the Deftones, and ask them for permission to use there name in a logo? Maybe it's better I stop uploadeding homemade images, and stick to editeding irrlevent text... lol
Sorry :( —This unsigned comment was added by Glassjaw420wt (talk • contribs) .

Vandalism in the midst of a discussion!
[edit]Seriously, how are we supposed to DISCUSS on Talk-Pages, when my very arguments there are being vandalised. Still, some still dispute my arguments for being "false quotes", but when I back them up with FULL REFERENCES, my edit is repeatedly reverted. (Again, on the TALK-PAGE, the very place where we are supposed to discuss that). I'm waiting for an approval to revert again to my edits. Hope you'll provide me one. Here is a link to the questionable revert [2]. Thank you in advance. Zadil 00:38, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

- I appreciate very much your answer on my talk-page. May I raise a disturbing THREAT I received in the midst of the above discussion, where some user seems to reach "consensus" through personal intimidation and slander. Please look here. How should I respond? Thank you in advance. Zadil 02:56, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Of course, you don't have to accept it. Just leave it on your talk page to rot, if you want. Sceptre (Talk) 17:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism again!
[edit]Hi benon! how are you? I hope you don't mind me seeking your advice again, regarding the same Talk Page. It Seems like some user has distressfully distorted my comments on a TALK PAGE. As you may observe, not only were my links REMOVED, but even the very REFERENCES - which was the all purpose of my comments - (given allegation of "fabrication" and "false quotes"), were to disappear, leaving the impression of my edit as another tedious long boring list of SOME ALLEGED quotes, which have been already cited just a few lines above. I find this revert as pure distortion, as he mysteriously "hided" the major lines in my comments.
Finally, the revert was applied without any notification, and I got it only in some miraculous way, which is again very disturbing. Would you be so kind look into the matter, sure I wish to revert that section again to my edit. Thanks in advance! A link is provided here Zadil 23:07, 27 March 2006 (UTC) reply on their talk page23:29, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Benon. My subsequent comment explained why I removed the links; they were to anti-Semitic sites violating Soncino's copyright - Wikipedia cannot support either anti-Semitism or copyright violation. Jayjg (talk) 23:56, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Zadil knows exactly why the links were removed. He's been trying to POV push on that page for over a week now, against the objections of a half dozen other editors. Now he's trying to recruit allies on bogus grounds. Jayjg (talk) 00:04, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Please read my comment here. It certainly don't justify the removal of my links, which is the ONLY source to verify my comments. and by no means had it occurred to me, that this was the cause for that distortion. I hope you believe me, benon. Zadil 00:30, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your answer. I'll certainly try to abide by your advice. And again thank you very much. Zadil 02:33, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
