The article Georges Cadiou has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 02:26, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Georges Cadiou
[edit]Hello, SpanishSnake,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Georges Cadiou should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Georges Cadiou .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Western Sahara, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note: the changes you made created issues with the page, specifically the infobox, that had to be corrected by other editors. You should familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies & guidelines as well as the Manual of Style before attempting such changes again. Thank you - theWOLFchild 13:29, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, I am a bit confused about exactly which of my edits to Western Sahara deviated from the Manuel of Style. Infobox settlement seems appropriate this situation. Thanks!

Foreign volunteers in Afrin
[edit]SpanishSnake, please cancel your edit here [1]. This is a matter of unit compositions, and they are already mentioned in the section "Units involved" under "Order of battle" as part of the "International Freedom Battalion". We have already placed the pro-Turkish "Grey Wolves" volunteers in that section as well. Hope this clears it up. :) Cheers! EkoGraf (talk) 23:49, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. :D I added your source, as well as another, to the "Order of battle" article. EkoGraf (talk) 23:56, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- Makes sense. Thanks for the heads up! SpanishSnake (talk) 23:57, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
Your merge notification
[edit]Hello SpanishSnake, you notified me about a suggested merge of Template:Country data Iroquois Confederacy, using Template:Tfmnotice. It's nice that you notified me, but you provide no information why you want the merge. The notification, as well as the hat notes you put on the articles, contain links to a supposed discussion at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2018 March 1, but there is none. Since there is also no discusssion on either of the two template's talk pages, and not even a hint in your edit summaries when you added the hat notes, we're left to guess why you are suggesting it. Please, when you use templates, use the "Show preview" feature and read what they say. The hatnotes you added even explicitly ask you to discuss this matter, and provide a convenient link for that. — Sebastian 08:34, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- I apologize for the confusion. The merging discussion is here — SpanishSnake (talk) 16:59, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Big Bird, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Canary (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:07, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
A page you started (List of mountains of Russia) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating List of mountains of Russia, SpanishSnake!
Wikipedia editor Nick Moyes just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
As an alpine mountaineer myself, I find lists of notable mountains of great interest. However, Russia is a huge area and this list fails to give the criteria for inclusion. Unless you want this to be just a catch-all for dross and every minor peak, I suggest you rename it to List of mountains in Russia above 4000 m, then someone could create another, if necessary, for mountains in Russia (3500–3999 m) and so on. I can do this for you if you wish. Just let me know.
To reply, leave a comment on Nick Moyes's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Globglogabgalab
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Globglogabgalab, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - This redirect should not be speedily deleted because it is mentioned in the lead section of Strawinsky and the Mysterious House. According to Google Trends, it is searched more often in Google than the redirect target[1], and it is likely what users will search for to find out about Strawinsky and the Mysterious House. —SpanishSnake (talk) 22:56, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 19:27, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Zucc
[edit]Hi SpanishSnake, disambiguation pages are search aids for existing content on WP. Entries should only be added if a blue link will lead readers to mention of the item. It doesn't matter if an external website calls Mark Zuckerberg 'Zucc'; what matters is that it is not mentioned in the WP article on Mark Zuckerberg. If you feel that this nickname is important, then add it to the article (preferably with a source more reliable than www.dailydot.com). Then add it to the disambiguation page. [edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Chungus
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Chungus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Speedy deletion nomination of Simp pair

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
