Hey, can you please tell me if this is ok? Thanks -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 13:16, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Should it be reverted? I already explained on talk page. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 13:33, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
I'm not going to get involved in the content, I just commented on the process/behavior; to get additional eyes on content, you can ask at WT:INB or whatever Wikiproject handles taxes/economy etc. —SpacemanSpiff 13:35, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

N1197L (talk) 13:13, 3 November 2017 (UTC)== about poetry dispute ==

Sorry sir. Just went through the talk on the article. I added poetry due to my knowledge about the person attending national poetry events as chief guest and a poet. I am removing poetry and will wait until I find any reliable sources. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by N1197L (talkcontribs) 12:57, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

Interesting things....

Since you appear to have consulted Mahitgar, a few days back, in certain case(s), you may wish to see meta:Stewards' noticeboard#Emergency help from Steward.Regards:) ~ Winged Blades of GodricOn leave 13:05, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

@Godric on Leave: I had seen it earlier as I was at meta checking on an unrelated issue, but I have no interaction with any of the editors involved except relating to some other editors on mr.wiki who have been disruptive on en (and both Mahitgar and Tiven advocated the same side on that). Besides, I've only ever gone to mr.wiki (albeit as a reader only) to check out contributions of the disruptive editors here, so I have no informed opinion on the case. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 13:16, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

About sock puppetry on article Ambarish Srivastava

Greetings sir. From the recent edits from you and other respected administrators, I came to conclusion that you might be mistaken about sock puppetry on article Ambarish Srivastava. I know Mr. Ambarish I am not editing anything under influence. Whatever I edited was according to my knowledge about him. I am a new user so I am not much familiar with options available in wikipedia. I noticed your discussion about COI Socks on the article. Hence I request you to let me verify my identity and clear the dispute regarding the article. Thanks Sir. — Preceding unsigned comment added by N1197L (talkcontribs) 13:38, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

Lord Aseem sock

Hello,

Here is his latest sock:

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:Contributions/Kamlesh4rmBhopal

Account is created a few days after he was indeffed. Note the obsession with Rani Padmini and Battle of the Hydaspes. Pushes the same exact POV.

Thanks, Khirurg (talk) 18:36, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

Don't see how it could quack any louder or any change in attitude. He is edit-warring same as before. He's probably figured out how to edit from a different IP address to get around the block. Khirurg (talk) 01:19, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Which perspectives are being pushed forward again that is same as Lord aseem on Rani Padmini or Battle of Hydaspes? My edits on Rani Padmini involved adding a new section with a basic outline of the original legend about her with multiple sources which was rejected as it had "personal synthesis" not backed by sources. On the other hand aseem's edits involved making Padmini a historic being or making it seem like she was.

The Battle of Hydaspes page, I have not removed anything added by mr.Khirurg or anybody else. I have read all the sources quickly and added elaboration where it factored in the context. My sources were Kaushik Roy, who's texts were speed-read by me. The other thing was the dating which I changed from BC to secular Common Era style as it would be suitable for a neutral site like Wikipedia. Also I made Paurava belligerent into Pauravan Kingdom as Paurava simply means descendant of Puru. That, and while I examined Khirug sir and aseem's edit war, I saw that the famous legend by Roman scholar Justin where Alexander challenged Porus to a due and lost was removed by Khirurg because no modern text relayed it again, so I found it again and restored it.

The problem it seems, is that Mr.Khirurg does not want to me to put my edits in, so he is using the excuse of me being a supposed Sock. I therefore even talked him and Dr.K. but nobody responded. Let's wait for SPI. But the page does not show my name registered. Kamlesh4rmBhopal (talk) 06:06, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Here, I have talked to him.

Hello Sir, I am returning to my hostel. One or two of the IPs shared between aseem and me will get active probably (Unless I use another WIFI connection). Just giving headsup not to take that as any "evidence" of me and him being the same human beings. Kamlesh4rmBhopal (talk) 13:08, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=UrbanSocial&action=history
https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Roof-hub&action=history

Like before,[1] have found a few articles that were created by him through his socks and tagged with G5 for deletion. Capitals00 (talk) 08:51, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

I've left two untouched as one was declined and the other has some edits by other editors. —SpacemanSpiff 09:06, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
UrbanSocial was declined, but now we consider this sockfarm to date back to 2013, as confirmed by CU as well. It is on Afd now Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UrbanSocial.
On Rana Yashwant, the other editors you are pointing out[2] is also Anatha Gulati sock but CU probably overlooked. WP:DUCK evidence would be that he created usertalk page with ''[3] like many other socks.[4][5][6] And yes not just expanding the article but defending it on Afd,[7] which was made by the blocked sock. Urinamenta can be blocked and article can be deleted. Capitals00 (talk) 09:48, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

About creating mandal articles

Sir, me and User:Vin09 have worked on creating a template mandal article for Indian mandals, such that we can create them with ease just by changing the values. Now an editor discussed with me that I’ve stolen the template from User:Vin09. Can you please help me with this situation. Since Vin09 was retired from Wikipedia, I can’t call him for help. You can have a look at archive discussion from both of our talk pages for our combined works. The discussion is going on User Talk:SuperHamsterIM3847 (talk) 15:30, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Please provide the links/diffs for these, I don't have the time to search for the template/discussions/affected articles. —SpacemanSpiff 03:41, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Roughly half of the "template" IM3847 claims he created together with Vin09 was already in use by Vin09 before IM3847 created his account, so regardless of any discussion that might have taken place between them after that, the way he presents the above narrative is very misleading. It's also a complete and utter lie to say I accused him of "stealing" anything (@IM3847: please take back the above lie about me): what I said was that he needs to provide proper attribution when using other Wikipedians' work, even if said other Wikipedians have already given their permission, and I never questioned whether Vin09 had given permission (actually, they've implicitly given their permission by publishing under GNU anyway -- I already explained all of this). I did question the appropriateness of presenting Vin09's work as his own as part of WP:WAM, since it screws over not only the original copyright holder of the text in question, but also the other WAM participants who are dilligently following the rules of the editathon and creating a large amount of new original content, but can't compete with someone who copy-pastes the same chunk of generic text (which by itself is more than 300 words) over and over again. Hijiri 88 (やや) 05:51, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Sir in the archive- corrections, Vinay asked me to just change Mandal name, area.... before creating the article, rather than creating article with entirely new template. You can go throughout archive to have a look at the way User:Vin09 trains me.
Articles like Atchampet mandal, Guntur district are just simply copy-pasted from Vinay article's, but later he improved them. It clearly implies he had no issue with me using his templates. Despite me and Vinay worked offwiki in creating a template articles for mandals and villages in Andhra Pradesh. - IM3847 (talk) 07:23, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
I'm not going to go through an entire archive to "find out". If you have specific diffs then let me know, otherwise, simply follow the advice provided by Hijiri88. —SpacemanSpiff 08:46, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
As I said all the mandals articles created by me like Tadikonda mandal, Ganapavaram mandal, Medikonduru mandal etc, are edited by User:Vin09, although Iam copying his template article he's just helping me with minute mistakes in articles created by me, that implies he is accepted my work. As you said simply follow the advice provided by Hijiri88, he adviced me to give credit for User:Vin09, after his advise I gave credit to User:Vin09 for articles later created using his template article..... [8] , I created an entirely new article, later he just asked me to change mandal name and area before creating the article, rather than working on entirely new template, if he disagreed he would have been asked me to change the template. -IM3847 (talk) 10:06, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
That's not advice; that's a requirement.
As for your supposedly giving credit to him now: you recently created the article Guduru mandal, Krishna district, which again includes Vin09's text (assuming Vin09 wasn't doing the same thing you have been doing and copy-pasting other editors' text -- it doesn't seem like this is as intuitive for either of you as one would hope); while you did credit him in your edit summary here you also submitted it to WAM as your own work. You need to appreciate that you didn't create the article -- you subbed in some names and numbers into an article written by any number of other editors. While it is acceptable for Wikipedia attribution purposes simply to say you borrowed the template from this or that article (even without naming a specific editor), it is not cool for you to submit an article that includes absolutely no original prose as part of an editathon. You need to actually create new articles.
It's pretty clear your English is not perfect (and I teach English in Japanese junior high school, so I'm pretty tolerant of that in real life), so I don't understand why you are doing this on English Wikipedia when you would presumably be more capable of composing original prose on the Wikipedia version in whatever your native language is. I can only assume that the reason for that is that articles related to India (or some region of India) are excluded from WAM on that version (as is the case with Japanese Wikipedia), and if that's the case then what you are doing kinda goes against the whole point of WAM to begin with.
Anyway, I'm not sure if you can withdraw your previous WAM submissions by yourself, but a reasonable substitute would be to strike your comments on User:SuperHamster's talk page and ask him to autofail the articles.
Hijiri 88 (やや) 10:35, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Sir, I'll continue to create articles on mandals but I'll not submit them(Copy-Pasted articles) to WAM and The only reason I'm editing en wiki is working on our native language Telugu is even difficult.—IM3847 (talk) 10:47, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Braj Bhasha

Hi - SpacemanSpiff
Eollywood has now been hi-jacked into another Braj Bhasha hidden article. This was by IP:2405:205:2213:1633:372D:226E:DB61:54DC which appears close to IP:2405:205:2114:4380:9651:250:8094:a72b, which Hi-jacked the Wollywood article - I'll let you decide which sock-drawer to file them in ! - Arjayay (talk) 10:29, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

I've added both to my watchlist and will protect if they come back. Jio geolocates are often wrong but both IPs geolocate closer to Virajmishra than to the Jsc socks. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 11:05, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Please monitor and protect the Mangalore article from Vandalism

Hi SpacemanSpiff,
Please monitor and protect the Mangalore article from Vandalism and Recentism. Many editors are trying to vandalize the Mangalore article. Please give protection to this article.
It is a Featured Article, and hence please protect the Mangalore article from Vandalism.
103.246.43.1 (talk) 16:39, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

I have it on my watchlist, but please take this up at WP:INB. I brought this issue up there once for other editors to consider, I'm not involved with the content there, but Arjayay may be able to help as he responded to my post at INB earlier. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 11:05, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

Protection of Rasgulla

I happened to notice on AIV that User:Ami.bangali 2ed tried reverting their move Rasgulla just before you did, but was stopped by the page move throttle filter. I haven't reviewed the rest of what happened to that page, but just mentioning in case that means that the page protection isn't needed. Κσυπ Cyp   11:44, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

@Cyp: This is a long standing off-wiki campaign, the move is just one part of it, the main issue revolves around two groups (Odia and Bengali) claiming this to be their own, and there are at least four active accounts in the page history right now that are pushing one side of the POV. There was also a move request and this endorse of that close. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 11:56, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for the reply, and never mind, then. Κσυπ Cyp   12:14, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

Although he is a bad editor, his intentions are good. So when his sockpuppet edits are made, please don't revert them. Or at least notify me when his edits are reverted so I can (partially) restore them. Not that I like him, but avoiding reverting good edits can lessen his chances of opening new accounts and making the same edits again. His latest account is Ohoalana. --Kailash29792 (talk) 08:10, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

His bad edits to good edits ratio is too high, so that's not going to happen, and I'm not going to go through all his edits to see which ones are which, however if you wish to restore his edits, then you are free to do so. As for him not opening new accounts, every thing has been tried, so that's never going to happen, whatever you try. —SpacemanSpiff 08:29, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Reg: Deletion of a wiki page

Dear Sir,

You have deleted one of the pages in Wiki. The page is https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Gauthamadas_Udipi . The deletion says there was some promotion. The doctor had this page for 17 years and he is not able to understand, where the promotion had happened. Is there some way to correct the error and get his page back? He said he tried reaching out to you on how to resolve the issue. Is there someway to get the page up and whatever reasons for deletion can be conveyed to him and for him to correct the error?

Thanks, Vijayalakshmi — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.83.48.167 (talk) 09:56, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Sock of indef blocked User:EchoUSA

Earlier this month, you blocked User:EchoUSA as WP:NOTHERE. This is the guy whose talk page, which was deleted at MfD, had a list of neo-Nazi organizations with their logos, which for the most part he had drawn himself (based on logos appearing on websites) and uploaded to Commons (most of which have now been deleted). Now we have another editor. User:GaiusoftheJulii, who started editing on 24 November (EchoUSA was blocked on 6 November), has made a number of edits to List of neo-Nazi organizations , and who uploaded the flag of the Antipodean Resistance [File:Antipodean-Resistance-Flag.png], a neo-Nazi group. I've nominated the flag file for deletion as a copyright violation. Considering everything, this new account appears to me to be the same person, socking. Could you look into it? Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:59, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

@Beyond My Ken: It could be possible but there seems to be some geographical difference so I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with this topic area at all. sorry I can't be of more help here. —SpacemanSpiff 10:48, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

@HitroMilanese: There's some significant difference (including the addition of 3 film roles) compared to what was at AfD (one completed role) so this doesn't qualify for G4, however, there appears to be some paid COI at work here and a discussion at COIN might be helpful. A linked SPI may be Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/S993. I see that you've already given the COI notice to the account. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 03:07, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
