Thank you for the effort you put in to expanding the article about Maciej Zieliński. However, I undid your edits for three reasons.

Thank you for your comments! After years I decided to finally take care of the article about me at Wikipedia. It's possible that not everything is aligned with Wikipedia regulations

First and foremost, the tone of your edits was not "neutral." One of the key things we strive for in Wikipedia is a neutral point of view. You seem to care about this person or his career, which will unfortunately make it more difficult for you to write in a neutral point of view than it will for someone who has no "emotional investment" in him or his works.

Well, the article is based on some of my bio notes and other texts about me. I believe that some of them are not fully neutral. I believe I can make it more neutral :-)

Second, the entire section "Commercial Music, Songs and Arrangements" was almost entirely copied from https://www.wsm.art.pl/index.php/en/kompozytorzy-menu-2013/62-maciej-zielinski2013. Wikipedia respects copyrights, as outlined at WP:Copyright policy. We also don't allow "close paraphrasing" either, see WP:Close paraphrasing for details.

I am the author of this section. I believe that it was used in the past in some publications, however it does not break any copyrights, as I am the copyright owner.

I also undid the change of the name. I checked out the references, most or all use the form "Zieliński" rather than "Zielinski". Wikipedia usually uses the most common form of the name in the English language, which for most people in Poland, is the Polish name. WP:Article titles has more information about this.

In Poland I am using original, polish version of my surname "Zieliński". Internationally I am using "Zielinski" as the polish font is problematic for foreigners. I hope I have the right to decide at Wikipedia

how my name is listed.

Finally, and to be fair it's a common mistake with new editors, {{DISPLAYTITLE}} is very limited in what it can do. For full details, see WP:DISPLAYTITLE.

I will definitely take a look.

Again, thank you for your contribution. I will put a note on Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Poland asking more experienced editors to go through your additions and re-add the content but re-written in a neutral tone. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 22:16, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate very much how to approach Wikipedia topic in a right way. I would love to improve the accuracy of the articles about me at Wikipedia. I started myself but I wouldn't mind to collaborate with somebody who knows Wikipedia and could make nicely looking article. Could you suggest how to approach it in a right way? I started with english version of note about me which was very limited. I need to do the same with Polish note, which is just partly accurate... Your suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I would appreciate if you could revert at least parts of the article I published, especially Selected compositions, Filmography, etc and possibly other parts which sound neutral. From my perspective 90% of the article sounds neutral as it presents rough data and facts. Soundflower Edit (talk) 17:38, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Attention needed at username change request

[edit]

Hello. A renamer or clerk has responded to your username change request, but requires clarification before moving forward. Please follow up at your username change request entry as soon as possible. Thank you. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 13:20, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Non-clerk comment: You may wish to have two accounts, one for editing pages related to yourself, one for "normal" editing of pages in which you have no conflict of interests. Such "dual use" accounts should be either declared publicly or, assuming there are no problematic edits that would give anyone any reason to think you were "hiding behind a second name," declared privately. See the paragraph about privacy at Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry#Legitimate_uses. If you do choose to have an alternate account and not disclose it publicly, I would very strongly encourage you to disclose it privately as described at Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry#Alternative account notification, since by its very nature editing a page about yourself will attract attention. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:39, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
