DYK for Sommen

[edit]

On 3 June 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sommen, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that one theory holds that aquatic cold-water species entered Sweden's Lake Sommen by a natural lock system at the end of the last ice age? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sommen. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sommen), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The fact was ... that Sommen charrs are a relict population that has survived because of Lake Sommen's great depth, and its cold and oxygen-rich waters? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sommen charr. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sommen charr), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
