Information icon Hello, I'm Apaugasma. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aqil ibn Abi Talib, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please also note that we neutrally summarize what reliable sources write, and write nothing in Wikipedia articles that they do not also write. Sockpuppetry

[edit]

There is a lot of wikt:sockpuppetry on Somalia & Somaliland- related articles. See wp:sockpuppet on what a sock is and wp:Sockpuppet investigations on reporting an editor as a sock. Gebogebo12 (talk · contribs) was recently blocked as a sock of Muuse8 (talk · contribs). Muuse8 appears to have been editing as an unregistered wp:IP. Coastalmerch (talk · contribs) and Admer9 (talk · contribs) are also blocked as socks. If you see sockpuppetry, please open a ticket on SPI. Muuse8 has never responded to talk on their talk page or article talk pages that I know of. wp:Communication is required!
The archive of Muuse8's socking history: wp:Sockpuppet investigations/Muuse8/Archive.
You can see if an editor has been blocked by checking: Preferences -> Gadgets -> "Strike out usernames that have been blocked".
I found and added a link to archive of the citation on Eidagale#Clan tree: Hunt, John A. (1951). A general survey of the Somaliland Protectorate 1944-1950. Wayback Machine (archived 2 February 2022). p. 147.. It might be a useful source for other clan trees. Please change the page number if copying.
You can request a Wikipedia article page be protected from editing: wp:Requests for page protection (wp:RFPP) - Read the instructions!
You can add a watch to a page with a time-span from a week to permanent. You can have an email sent to you if the page has been changed by checking: Preferences -> User profile -> Email options -> "Email me when a page or a file on my watchlist is changed".
BTW: I do wp:RCP and get annoyed by all the editing to Somalia & Somaliland articles without citing sources. Thanks for watching the fort! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:50, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You. Solanif (talk) 01:26, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For related policy pages and instructions, see help:referencing for beginners, wp:citing sources, wp:reliable sources, wp:verifiability. If you need help, the wp:Teahouse is a good place to ask questions and get reliable answers. Adakiko (talk) 19:55, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I restored the content on Somali clans per wp:DENY. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 11:27, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • BTW: If you believe a sock's edits to be good, please, by all means, restore them! Suggest your edit summary not mention the sock. Maybe something like "restored content". Please make sure the content you restore is encyclopedic, cites a source, and that the source supports the content. This edit by Service Providers on Leelkase contained The Leelkase community can be described as a religious community, peace loving, and caring for its neighbor. Not exactly encyclopedica and rather wp:promotional at best.
  • A good essay: wp:systemic bias. I meet eight of the ten criteria. I have lived in India and on Bougainville Island, so do have a little bit of a world view. Just a little bit... Adakiko (talk) 03:23, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Coastalmerch did a wp:cut and paste move. From Facaaye to Facaye. That removes the edit history from the destination which is in violation of the CC license. I undid those edits as there were no significant edits. You might want to take a look at those pages. Adakiko (talk) 11:40, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CFA is resetting the whole page for no particular reason. Ask him why? All the information is backed by governmental and scholarly sources? 148.252.146.158 (talk) 15:05, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was because on the contributors was evading a block. CFA deleted any contributions that was made since their first edit without checking them. Solanif (talk) 15:48, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Those contributors are AKA wp:Sockpuppets. See wp:DENY for an explanation. You are free to restore the content if you wish. Make sure the content is properly sourced! help:referencing for beginners and wp:verifiability as to why it must be sourced. No source, it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Please leave an wp:ES explaining why you are restoring, preferably without mentioning the sock. "Restoring good content" or something of that nature. Thanks for asking! [edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mogadishu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Somali.
